Toot moves to the fore to stand at Mizzug's side as they move along.

Loth sticks with Bumbo in the back, hoping that the cavern structure opens up into wider areas soon.

(I advanced you folks forward a bit to where you'd have another decision to make.)

The group moves down the hallway at its turn to quickly find another turn. And more. Another passage splits off to the east only a few feet ahead, as well as the passage you're in opening up into a wider room beyond the split. A statue of a woman made of red stone sits at the edge of Toot's vision. She appears to be holding a staff, a book, and is facing to the east. (This is the red dot next to the B3 mark.) The dust on the floor remains undisturbed except for where you have all done so. No lights emanate, but the scraping sound has seemingly moved to once again be coming from ahead of you (the north).

"Not even every dwarf has a connection with the stone, but I and some others I have known hear music from the stone, especially worked stone. It talks, though it is more like a reverberation of the purpose the structure has been put to, and perhaps its artistry." Shrugging, he passes on, "It's hard to explain if you haven't experienced it"

When the people in front mention the statue, Dol pushes through to look at it from a distance.

@Dol: No religious significance to this statue. When you (or anyone) can get a good look at it (entering the room), it would be a K(History) check.

@Bumbo: Toot looks down the hallway and sees it continue on until it disappears beyond the limit of his vision.

Farmageddon

Much to Loth's evident delight, Toot discovers.... MORE HALLWAYS! The one to the north of the statue room ending quickly at a closed wooden door. Another stretching east with stairs going up at a low grade (not difficult terrain). The scraping sounds seem to be coming from behind the door to the north.....

Anyone seeing the statue (ie. in the same room as it) can make a K(History) check

I know its high, so congrats on getting it. This is the Runelord Alaznist, Runelord of Wrath.

Without a check, anyone just looking at the statue can see ancient writing on the base and a symbol of a sharp edged, 7 pointed star inscribed on the base as well.

Toot appears furious at the lack of opposition. He immediately appears ready to charge down the hall to the right, before Bumbo speaks up.

Hold on Toot...there may be a more powerful foe behind that door.

Toot looks down at his hooves and curses, once again, the lack of thumbs. He stumps over to the door and waits for someone to open it.

Bumbo looks around after seeing the writing. Anyone have an idea what this may be?

Shaking her head, she smiles. "Seems 'ike one o dim dead ones...or chelaxian mayhaps."

Moving around the room, she peers down the exits.

@Mizzug: Guess what you see..... ANOTHER DOOR! Congratulations!

So far, you have 4 directions.
1) North: Closed door with a scratching sound coming from it.

2) East: Closed door at the edge of vision, no other details. The stairs in this hall go up at a shallow incline (not enough to count as difficult terrain).

3) South: The way you came.

4) West: Appears to loop back around to the natural cave you were in to start.

Also: Now that you are in the room and looking at it closely, anyone who is/has looked at the statue notices that the ranseur that it is holding seems to be removable (not a part of the actual statue, just holding the weapon).

Danger awaits around most corners. 3 new directions are available. Which will you choose?

Bumbo enters into the room, following the anxious Toot. He takes a look at the statue, and cocks his head to the side curiously. He focuses on it with his arcane senses.

Casting detect magic at the statue and ranseur, and concentrating on it till someone tells him not to or he discovers everything he needs to know.

@Bumbo: You detect no magic from the statue or the ranseur, or from anywhere in the cone (other than what your party may be carrying).

@Razkiv: You notice that the ranseur was put in after the statue was carved, and see that it could easily be slid up and out with you desire. No otherwise see nothing of particular interest about it.

@Loth: You creak open the door and light begins to spill into an otherwise dark room. The ancient wooden door opens without a sound and directly in front of you is a wooden platform suspended over the stone floor. This is noticeable as the platform ends a short distance ahead. You notice no creatures, but the scratching sound immediately stops when the light hits the room.

What do you do?

Dol watches with wonder as Razvik examines the statue. "Odd that someone would use an actual polearm. Maybe the artist didn't think they could do justice to the weapon?

Odder still that the goblins didn't take it on their way through."

Peering in three different directions, Dol wonders at what could be lurking down any of these corridors.

"Go ahead Loth, see whatever is waiting for us. I'll wait here a minute and make sure nothing sneaks up on our rear."

Slowly walking around the statue, Mizzug stares at it in awe. "Mayhaps dim dat build dis was warriors too." she muses. "Know anytin else bout statue?"

Aventail passes by the statue, a faint echo of memory tugging at her consciousness. She leaves the odd statue and its weapon and moves to assist Loth, casting light on a stone for the halfling.


I think Raz has light cast on his shield as well

Toot moves into the room in his normal boisterous manner, snorting and sniffing for prey. He immediately heads towards the sounds. Come out, whatever you are!

Bumbo follows behind more cautiously, staying close to Loth but keeping Toot in sight should the eidolon need some spiritual assistance.

As Toot and/or Loth enter the room, they see the following:
This large chamber was obviously once a prison, as testified by the twenty cells that line the room's perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs descending to the prison floor ten feet below. A five-foot-wide wooden walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east.
The door you've entered from lets out onto the aforementioned wooden platform. Off to the west, Toot can immediately see two figures that were crouched down in anticipation near another door that leads south. When he fully enters the room, they both spring up and move quickly towards him, their wide mouths full of sharp teeth and long claws scraping against the stone walls. Prepared actions to move when someone/something enters the room. These creatures look the same as the one you fought earlier on.

Toot moves into the room and creatures move towards him. Combat starts, the creatures move and attack.

Toot takes 10 total damage and is sickened for 6 minutes.

I think that I got Bless back when Razvik realized that he hadn't updated his current hit points.

"Toot! Fall back! Draw them into this room where the bottleneck works in our favor."

Dol casts Bless and moves slightly into the side corridor to stay out of the way, drawing his crossbow as he moves.

Bumbo, seeing Toot under assault, yelps in surprise. He recovers quickly and calls upon their strange arcane bond to open a link between them. Toot, get back, like Dol said! He then grits his teeth and holds back his tears as the arcane energies rip the very vitality from his body and send it towards Toot.

Casting life conduit as a standard action, then using a swift action to transfer HP to Toot

Toot snorts in fury and looks back at his allies. Seeing Loth behind him though, he delays his action until the line moves back.

Toot delays - sorry to split up the initiative order. He'll wait for the others to move back then withdrawl back into the room. The intent is that he'd stay at the front of the line, but in the statue room. If the others don't move out of his way, then he'll just attack.

Damn, I was real busy yesterday so I couldn't get a post in, and it seems my lack of movement may have caused some issue. Loth intended to move into the room as well, and as such, I moved him in front of Toot.
Hearing suggestions to fall back, yet seeing Aventail rush in, Loth decides to move behind the creature to catch it in a flank, and attacks!
"Sorry Dol, I see an opening!"

Going to five-foot-step into the flanking position, which is diagonal, then full attack action with my two daggers. I'm not sure what your ruling about diagonal five foot step (in a threatened area) is, so feel free to ignore the second attack if you consider the move illegal.

Main hand dagger: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 2 = 24
Damage (Sneak attack!): 1d3 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) - 1 + (3) = 3

Two bite attacks, two sets of teeth scraping off your metal filegree.

@Loth: Diagonal movement is 5 feet for the first diagonal, 10 for the second, (5 for the third, so on and so forth) so you're fine. Also, no 5 foot steps around hard corners. And congrats. I think that may be the most damage Loth has done so far.

@Bumbo: Feel free to have Toot come out of hold effective before the creature's turns since others have declared their movements.

Wielding her oversized weapon, Mizzug charges into the fray with her newest attempt to prove herself to ...... herself?
Technically, she would have provoked the AoO's, but they rolled so low it's a moot point.

And she misses her swing, big time.

Blue would, of course, attack Loth for the damage done to its back.

So Loth takes 6 points of damage, but manages to stave off the sickening feelings creeping over him. The creature then slides over to stand next to his "friend"

It doesn't appear that anyone added Bless to their attack rolls. Perhaps I am misreading. Bonuses are easy to forget about

Dol sighs and looks toward Razvik. "What is this desire to rush recklessly forward instead of waiting for the enemy to come to your well-defended position?"

Taking up his position guarding the rear, Dol readies to shoot a bolt at any enemy that appears.

Toot has little to celebrate, as he's forcing back the strange ectoplasmic vomit that threatens to forcefully expel itself from his throat. Seeing that the others are entering the room around him, he instead turns his attention to the creature that hurt him, and looses his own fury upon it!

Farmageddon

Here's kind of the tricky part about all of this. Loth, using you as an example. By the time I get down to Loth's post, Toot has killed the Blue Creature. What do I do then? Have him 5 foot step and do his full attack on the Red one? Move 15 feet around so he's flanking the Red on with Razkiv, but knowing that his first attack roll is a miss, but setting him up for flank next round? Give him the choice but have to wait for his response? Luckily, Aventail took this problem and made it easy. She did enough damage that Loth's attack full attack would knock out Red. But the main reason I'm rambling here is this: There will come a time when I'll have to interpret the move order, and I'll always try and do it in the way I feel is most advantageous for you guys.

With a coordinated effort, the group turns on creatures and shreds them like an infomercial showing off a new kitchen utensil. They go from standing and vicious to bloody tatters in approximately 6 seconds. Dol loads up his crossbow, and by the time his eyes are back on the fight, the creatures are dead.

The ruined chambers are quiet once again, except for the slow drip of blood from these abominations as it seeps through cracks in the wood to splash onto the stone floor beneath. And your own heavy breathing as the blood pounds through your ears.

What now, victorious heroes?

Adding 200 exp to the total.

His infernal healing goes one minute, so I'll add the 9 more HP if we don't immediately go back into combat.

He turns when he hears nothing, and realizes that Toot is already gone - having charged after Mizzug. W...wait! Bumbo hurries to where he can keep Toot and Mizzug in his vision, but he still holds back, awaiting the others.
