Bumbo breathes easier at the influx of energy. Thanks Dol! With renewed vigor, he hurls another stone into the melee.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 4 = 6
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Toot moves on to his next opponent in a methodical demonstration of locally confined chaos.
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Hoof: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Hoof: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Aventail
Thanks GM!
Unless she encounters creatures or other obstructions, Aventail will follow the wall around and head into A16, and if possible to the doors to this room, A17.
Loth Dalveran
"Thank you, Dol! Time to tip the scales!" Loth responds to his companion, deciding that hurling more arguments at Tsuto is a waste of time.
He drops his bow and draws one of his daggers, slashing at the goblin in front of him.
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

Alright, lots of work to do with this one....
@Mizzug: I'm only seeing 2 attacks of opportunity, but let us resolve them now...
AoO 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
AoO 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Both miss. Good for you.
@Raz: Reflex saves galore.
Reflex Red (Border): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Reflex Red: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Reflex Yellow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
And unless Toot moved during his turn and it wasn't mentioned, one for him as well....
Reflex TOOT: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Luckily, rolled well for half of them. Unluckily (for me), Toot was part of the good half.
@Aventail: She moves up and opens the next door. She knows that there are doors on the other side of the long furnace room, she just needs to get to them.
@Loth: Critical Confirm Roll- and that makes things simple
Crit roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
---Red Goblins---
Seeing their chance, they move up to take some better positions as (despite Dol's calls) the line fractures and splits, giving them openings to flank.
--@Raz
Red goblin 1 attack: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 2 - 4 = 18
Red goblin 1 critical confirmation: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 2 - 4 = 9
Red goblin 1 damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3 and 1 fire
--@Toot
Red Goblin 2 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
4 more damage to Raz, sending him to 0 and disabled.
A disabled character with negative hit points recovers hit points naturally if he is being helped. Otherwise, each day he can attempt a DC 10 Constitution check after resting for 8 hours, to begin recovering hit points naturally. The character takes a penalty on this roll equal to his negative hit point total. Failing this check causes the character to lose 1 hit point, but this does not cause the character to become unconscious. Once a character makes this check, he continues to heal naturally and is no longer in danger of losing hit points naturally.
---Yellow Goblins---
Seeing just as many openings, they continue to swing.
--@Loth
Yellow Goblin 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
--@Dol
Yellow Goblin 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
--@Toot
Yellow Goblin 3: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11
That is a whole bunch of misses.
---Tsuto Kajitsu---
No longer having to move up to get his attacks in, Tsuto doesn't even put down the bow before lashing out at Mizzug with elbows and feet.
Flurry of Blows 1: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 2 = 18
Flurry of Blows 2: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17
Unarmed Strike Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 and Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 5
and Stunning Fist
Mizzug Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
That is a pass on the Fort save, you are not stunned. Spoiler Alert: He would have declared his second stunning fist after the first one, and missed the attack (wasting the use).
Mizzug takes a big hit of 11 damage, after hurting Tsuto with her own over-sized weapon, he responds with an elbow to her throat. And yells at Raz, Yes. They actually love fire.
GM Sphen
---INITIATIVE!---
Dol Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
Razkiv Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Bumbo Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Mizzug Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Goblin Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Aventail Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
Loth Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Back into it. Lots of damage on both sides, this fight is getting pretty good.....
Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin
Bumbo can't see the damage to Raz from his position, but Toot takes note. The bestial rainbow pig roars and shouts in the common tongue. Try that on me, little ones! It will be your last mistake! He moves into position between the two goblins there, instantly lashing out with attacks at one of them.
If that's a strategic stretch, all good - Toot will just attack.
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Hoof: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Hoof: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Bumbo looks at this apparent monk in fascination, seeming to be lost in the movements for a moment. He shakes himself out of it, though, and shouts at Tsuto. Your pants fell down!
Casting Daze - DC14 will save
Mizzug
"Oh? No Weapons din? I can obligatory dat!" cackles Mizzug, joy in her eyes...or was that blood?
Lashing out, she quickly snaps her jaws on the air between then.

If it hits -1 con
I think I need new dice
Loth Dalveran
I apparently REALLY don't know how to play my character, sorry!
In the confusion of the fight, Loth draws a second dagger while swinging at the goblin with the dagger already out.
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
A second chance!
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Next turn I should be able to set up some flanks and some sneak attacks tho!
Aventail
So is Aventail in A16 by the doors to A17? The map shows her not having moved much from last turn...
GM Sphen
@Bumbo: Toot lives to fight, I don't have an issue with him knowing how to do it. And I went ahead and split the attacks up retroactively to drop the one that was nearest to Raz and applied some damage to the other.
Tsuto Will save: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 = 13
Oh, a low roll. Tsuto is Dazed on Bumbo's turn.
@Mizzug: No. That did not hit...
@Loth: No worries. You hit it, and it is bleeding, but still smiling at you.
@Aventail: Correct in that you did not move much. You had to move more than 5 feet to get to the doors (move action) and then open them (move action). So this turn you could move to the doors into A16 and open them.
Dol Stormmaul
|
Dol looks at the fractured lines and allies getting surrounded and grumbles to himself.
Unable to get near Raz or Mizzug and unwilling to heal the enemies any more, Dol decides to keep swinging, this time missing the goblin as it ducks under his warhammer.
Warhammer,Hatred: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6
Razkiv
Raz backs to the wall and slides down, he tries to conjure a ball of fire. But he fails as the grey closes in the sides of his vision.
Please stop rolling nat 20s :)
GM Sphen
@Raz: You can actually make that attack if you want. It would put you at -1 and "dying", but the attack would get rolled first. Alternatively, Raz could move out and away from the fight without going unconscious. Up to you. Also, I can't ever roll worth a dang when I'm a player, so this evens out....
For me......
Not for you guys......
It just sucks for you guys.
---Aventail, Bot---
Aventail moves up to the next set of doors and opens them (doors into A16).
---Red Goblin
The last of the Red Goblins, this one has absorbed the power of the other red goblins and become stronger than ever before!
--@Mizzug
Red Goblin OMEGA ATTACK!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Mizzug takes another 2 damage, the heat having dissipated from his little torture device.
---Yellow Goblins---
--@Loth
Yellow Goblin 1 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
--@Dol
Yellow Goblin 2 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Goblin damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
--@Toot
Yellow Goblin 3 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
And 3 damage to Dol as they continue swinging. You've dropped a fair number of them, but some of you are looking pretty beat up as well. So they feel like they still have a chance.
---Tsuto Kajitsu---
Ha! I did Tsuto's whole thing, beat the crude out of Mizzug, and then went back and was re-reading everything to make sure that I'm not unfairly beating the crude out of you guys. And then I saw it, the thing that saved Mizzug from being unconcious. Tsuto is Dazed for this round and gets to do NOTHING.
Tsuto shakes his head to try and clear it, dodging Mizzug's bite and trying to clear his mind.
Razkiv
I think that hiding behind Toot is the the safest place to be.
Loth Dalveran
Switching gears, Loth disregards the goblin in front of him and squeezes past Dol for a more favorable angle: flanking the goblin preoccupied with Mizzug.
From there, he swipes with his dagger, hoping to catch the goblin off-guard!
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Damage + Sneak Attack: 1d3 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (2) = 3
Unfortunately, switching targets took a bit more out of his focus than anticipated, and he misses!

Awesome, thanks!
Bumbo puts a hand under his arm and makes fart noises in a celebratory manner, then tries and fails to get a proper angle from which to hurl a stone. He instead takes a step back to look down the corridor to the southwest, making sure they're not about to get surrounded-surrounded for real.
Toot lets out a very un-piglike roar, then assaults the next goblin in line, his stamping hooves trying to mash a stew of dead goblin parts.

"Yes, if you can pull back safely. Just step outside of these doors out of the way of ranged fire and we will regroup."
Dol worries about what will happen once Aventail reappears, but has a hope that they might be able to catch the goblins in a pincer once she does.
GM Sphen
@Aventail: Once the bad guys go, everyone gets to take their turn. Posting is done in any order for the ease of play.
@Bumbo: Since Toot took down the goblin in front of him, I had him use his 5 foot step (free action) to keep himself between himself and Razkiv. Feel free to move him back if you don't want him there.
---Aventail, Bot---
Aventail moves up to the final doors between her and the fight, opening them into room A17 and seeing the fight has moved to the other side of the room.
---Red Goblin---
With his "boss" still fighting, so does this guy.
-vs. Loth
Red Goblin 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
And a big miss, distracted by the blood running down into his eyes.
---Yellow Goblins---
Almost completely lost in their blood lust, the "yellow" goblins don't even notice that two-thirds of their number are down.
-vs. Dol
Yellow Goblin 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Yellow Goblin 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Their fervor makes them reckless and the attacks miss.
---Tsuto Kajitsu---
Surrender now and I may leave you alive. All the better to witness the destruction that will be brought upon this pathetic little s-hole of a town. He doesn't say "s-hole".
-vs. Mizzug
Flurry of Blows 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

But Mizzug's new found caution allows her to dodge Tsuto's attempts to bring her down.
Hope everyone enjoyed their week off. My posting will probably be a little inconsistent as to time of day for the next few days as I'm not back to work until Thursday, but I'll be getting daily posts up again. Welcome back, everyone.

Readied shot at anything that comes up from the south in the outer corridor.
Aventail
Aventail will use the Run Full Round Action, so 3x20’ (I’m counting her adamantite body as heavy Armor for purposes of Run). Not sure how close to Tsuto that gets her given the diagonal square/space in this room...
Aventail sees the battle, and stowing her crossbow brings her glance-guisarme to bear as she heads toward the half-elf Tsuto...

Bumbo hums to himself, mostly unaware of much of the battle save for his connection to Toot. He scratches his rear as he watches for anyone approaching from the south.
GM Sphen
Two more goblins down. Dol knocks the one to just almost out, and Loth finishes it off. Then Toot bites and stomps the last red one out. Only 1 goblin left, and Tsuto of course....
---Razkiv, Bot---
His way to the door still blocked by the little "yellow" goblin, Raz stays put behind Toot.
---Aventail, Bot---
Aventail moves up to get in range (with reach) of both Tsuto and the remaining goblin.
---Mizzug, Bot---
Mizzug takes Aventail's position to her advantage, moving into flanking and striking at Tsuto, still defensively.
Mizzug Warhammer: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Mizzug Bite: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (7) - 2 = 5
And another pair of misses.
Now is where things get a little more interesting. Having lost all but his boss, the remaining goblin flees. And without any goblin allies, Tsuto also flees....
---Yellow Goblin---
Yellow takes a withdraw action, which will still end up provoking from both Loth and Dol.
Loth AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Dol AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Loth Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Mizzug AoO: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
But the attack of opportunity misses and Tsuto takes off.
You'll never win. If you catch me, she'll still kill you all!
A tumultuous round. After a roller coaster of "will they win?" or "will they die?", you've settled on winning. The only question that seems to remain is how much victory will you have? Will Tsuto escape? What about the other goblin? What exactly happened in this place? Where are the workers? Lets find out together.

Loth Dalveran
Loth looks at his companions in slight disbelief. "He's headed straight for the employee exit! If we don't hurry, he might be getting away entirely!"
Not eager to give up right away, Loth dashes (double moves) towards Tsuto in an attempt to catch him.
He won't be chasing him beyond this room, no worries there.
Dol Stormmaul

Since we are still in initiative...
After healing Razvik, Dol makes a single move to get closer to Mizzug.
Aventail
GM: In your last post you comment: “Aventail moves up to get in range (with reach) of both Tsuto and the remaining goblin.” But Aventail only moved and didn’t make an attack on Tsuto.
Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin
Toot, seeing his prey escaping, roars. Noooo! You won't get away from me! He charges, headlong, and heedless of danger.
Double move gets just in melee range of Tsuto
Bumbo, hearing the roar, pops his head in to see. You guys done in there yet? Oh...I see! He runs into the room, and pumps his little legs, belly bouncing, to keep up with Toot.
Also double move...but significantly slower
Aventail
GM: In your last post you comment: “Aventail moves up to get in range (with reach) of both Tsuto and the remaining goblin.” But Aventail only moved and didn’t make an attack on Tsuto.
Oh, a double move, and thus no attack. Like Toot just now. Apologies.
Aventail is too slow to counter the agile half-elf, slowly turning to give chase.
Also Double Move.

@Aventail: You got it.
---Mizzug, Bot---
Mizzug also chases after Tsuto.
Me gonna git yous...
double move
---Goblin---
Not seeing any enemies, he never-the-less takes off at a full sprint through the open door at the end of the hallway. (Run action, so he is flat-footed for this round.)
---Tsuto Kajitsu---
Tsuto takes another withdraw action rather than face the three foes in front of him. His chances of escape, however, decrease now that he is faced with closed doors......
Razkiv
"We need to move together, better he gets away then he draws one or two of us into an overwhelming possition."
Razkiv moves to keep close to his companions.
Aventail
Aventail nods morosely, trying to at least stay near her party.
Stupid, Aventail. You should have held at the doors...
Double Move
Loth Dalveran
"Yes, focus on limiting his movement so the others can catch up!"
Loth dashes forward. "Get back here, Tsuto!"
Double moving again, assuming diagonal movement alternates between 5 and 10ft
GM Sphen
---Mizzug, Bot---
Double move, also next to Tsuto, ready to eat him.
---Goblin---
Seeing and hearing so many people crowd into his escape route, he turns tail and runs the other direction. (Run action, flat footed again.)
---Tsuto Kajitsu---
Tsuto needs to get away, and has a closed door in his escape route, so he can't use a withdraw action..... so he tries to nimbly dodge out of the way.
-vs. Toot
Tsuto Acrobatics 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
-vs. Mizzug
Tsuto Acrobatics 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Dodges away from Toot, but leaves himself open to Mizzug...
Mizzug AoO: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Who swings and misses.
This allows Tsuto to move the 10 feet to the door (move action 1) and then open it (move action 2). His turn is over and he has a path down the stairs now. But he is also super close to most of the party fighters and Aventail closing in behind quickly.
