To diversify a bit, I'm considering bringing an envoy to the table instead of a soldier. My envoy is level 6 though, which may push us up to high tier. Any thoughts?

I think we go from an average of 4,4 to 5 if you bring a lvl 6 instead of a 4 (I'm pretty bad at math)

I think we have;

lvl 3 technomancer
lvl 4 operative
lvl 5 soldier
lvl 6 operative

and either a lvl 4 soldier or lvl 6 envoy

According to the excel sheet there's a 6th player with an as of yet unknown character signed-up so it could go either way.
I'd say play which character you think you'll have most fun playing.

And if we end up playing high tier I'd like it if someone will stand in front of me and Ella and take the hits of course...that's also what I like if we play low tier ;)

Stick with me, that's what I do.

And as far as which tier, I'd prefer high and am willing to take all of the damage for our low level friends but I'm fine either way.

I'm still waiting on getting the scenario to get more things setup, but I can tell you from playing it that the combat isn't too bad in this one as compared to some other 3-6s, if that contributes to your up vs. down discussion.

I also have a Soldier/Mystic 5 that I could bring instead of my operative 6 but doesn't have much skills.

With a product description that includes the line;

-the PCs need to use all their skills in order to complete this mission in a race against the clock.

I'd say we're gonna need all the skills we can get ;)
