Sinuhotep, tries another dispell on Ischell, attempting to reduce his reach.
Dispell: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Dhiara steps forward and pummels him again...
stunning strike (deal melee damage and stun the target for 1 round (Fort DC 20 negates stun)... 10 Magic Bludgeoning + 1 Numbus. Non Lethal
Peridot... go ahead and run Torch.

GM supervillan |

SageBot is correct about Amenopheus.
The Sages attack! Sinuhotep dispels Ischell's Enlarge. Dhiara strikes Ischell/Tahari.
Fort vs Stun: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 25
Fort vs Stun: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 24
Ischell laughs at the attack. 'Yes, yes, strike me down! Hasten your own ends!"
Torch employs his bow, drawing blood. Also applying Nimbus bonus.
Agate waits for her opportunity.
Ischell/Tahari works her magic. Though she now has to speak and gesture, she still casts with alarming speed and fluency.
Frost and Peridot come under attack. Please attempt a DC21 Will save followed by a DC23 Fort save. (Several sages are also in the AoE of these spells, but they pass their saves).

25 damage + the 22 NL takes him over the 40, so I think he's down
If down, and Ahn sees a ghost, he shoots his second shot at the ghost
If he's NOT down, his next shot sadly goes into Ischell
Ranged + Smite + Nimus: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 13 + 1 = 15 Fumble!

"Is he alive? Can someone tell?!", Ahn yells... needing to know if Ischell is dead.

![]() |

Point of clarification. Ischell only had 5 hp left of ablative barrier, so 17 of the currently listed NL damage is actually lethal damage. That would put him at 23 HP before Ahn’s first attack.

![]() |

Yes and no. Ablative barrier gives DR5/- to NL attacks, so Dhiara's attack would have done 5 less damage overall. But, the first lethal attack Ischell suffered would have absorbed 5 damage. I guess that would leave Ischell up 5 HP, and equal on the NL damage.

GM supervillan |

In this post Ischell you say that the barrier has expired. I think you forgot to update your header. Ahn’s first arrow drops you. Tahari does not immediately leave.

SageBot |

Amenopheus steps to where he has a better line of sight and readies an action to pop the ghost with magic missile if seen.
Tahonikepsu says, "Who wants the benefits of blur..." as she rises up into the air. Frost? Will fly to whoever we pick and cast blur, staying somewhat out of the way.
Moved Dhiara as she would have had to five-foot step to hit after the shrinking.

I think Tahari just plans on sitting there, the good news is that she's not aware of what is going on around her anymore I suppose, because her meat suit is broken. Time's now on our side
Eventually she has to pop, and we have all the time in the world

GM supervillan |

Some of the Sages might be able to tell you more about Possession - though the amount of info they can convey in a combat round is limited.
The explorer Mnesoset is an athletic Garundi woman who keeps her hair in braids, and her outfit includes accessories and garments from a wide range of different cultures and countries. She waves to a diverse crowd of humans, insect people, dwarves, and more, who cheer and wish her luck as she begins entering a mountainside ruin. Within she finds a hall inhabited by row after row of towering statues; as she inspects them, the sound of her friends being slaughtered echoes from outside. Mnesoset draws out an ivory rod and commands the statues to follow her orders. At first they follow her commands, but then one grabs her and throws her against a wall. Other statues stand in front of the entrance, keeping her from leaving yet not stopping the stream of blood that trickles down from the ruin’s entrance. All the while, a horned fiend watches from the shadows, moving its hands as if controlling marionettes. Mnesoset looks at you. "I have failed you! I have failed the homeland. All this time I spent exploring other lands, and now my own is lost!" You are conscious that her speech contains words from many different races and languages, all mixed together, yet somehow, perhaps because this is a mindscape, you understand.
Athum, you can point out the fiend in the shadows (who strongly resembles Kabede), you can show Mnesoset that it was not she who failed, or you can even help her regain control of the golem army; appropriate skill checks are Knowledge (arcana or planes), Perception, or Use Magic Device. Bonuses for roleplay! You may make 3 checks as a full round action this turn.
The Spinel Sage appears in the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game - season of plundered tombs I believe.

"I shouldn't have come for the golems!" Mnesoset says. "The Keleshites are upon us! They're killing everybody, and I'm trapped here! You - how did you get here? I know you! You're not from home. You are Athum, the Living Monolith. Your knowledge is broad Athum. I see the div for what it is now. The truth is that I died long ago. Aryana Tahari is trying to trap me in a perversion of memory. I will not be deceived! Go, Athum! Destroy the necromancer for good!" Together you use the ivory rod to take control of the golems once more and they pour out of the ruins as the div vanishes into the dark.
Back in the Sanctum
The Spinel Jewel swallows up its mindscape as Athum returns to his senses.
Peridot and Tahonikepsu approach the fallen Ischell. Tahonikepsu reaches down and touches Frost bestowing a Blur spell.
Only the Onyx Jewel, close to Sinuhotep, still has a mindscape entrance.

Agate and the Onyx
The dwarf Padrym stands in a palace at the heart of Osirion’s power in the Age of Destiny, and he watches a young girl—Aryana Tahari—walk past with a few spectral figures trailing in her wake. "Noble Padrym, may I ask for your assistance with a problem concerning the life cycles of horse flies?"
"Begone child! Pharaoh needs my census report, I've no time for your trivial irrelevancies!"
He sees her later as a young woman, an adult, and then in middle-age, her entourage of spirits growing each time. At each point he sees a chance to speak or act as the ghosts implore him to intervene, but each time he remains silent, each time he has something more important to be doing.
Padrym broods over points he could have interceded in Tahari’s life and chose not to interfere. Agate may use Diplomacy, Knowledge (history or religion), or Perform (oratory) checks to remind him that the necromancer’s choices were her own or that the past is written and done. Onyx mindscape
"They asked me to take Aryana Tahari as an apprentice. They said I could instil discipline into her, teach her to use her talents for the good of the empire. I didn't want a human apprentice. Too flighty, I thought. Not serious-minded. You understand." Padrym reflects, as the memories replay. "She went to the Usij, of course. I knew what they were. Many of Pharaoh's other advisors cautioned him against dealing with them. Those other advisors perished, or disappeared. I kept my silence." You notice that several of the ghosts in Tahari's train wear the same uraeus amulet as Padrym. "When Pharaoh gave Resa over to Tahari, I knew his intent. I knew what would happen to those innocent people. And still I kept my silence." You see the ghosts of Resa, crying out to Padrym. "Pharaoh built the House of Oblivion. Tahari visited plague upon our enemies! The Pharaoh's court rejoiced in our greatness. Still I kept my silence. When the Sarenites finally killed Tahari I had my spies enter her quarters in the palace. They brought me the Onyx Jewel. Such a treasure! Do you see what my silence gained me? How many died, so that I could enjoy 'wisdom'? I am not wise. Nor am I noble - far from it.
But, it is also true that the Order of Jeweled Sages is connected to the Jewels. Each of us. We have spent years, millennia in fact, establishing and strengthening our connections. All of that history, that lore and skill, is stored in the Jewels." Padrym rises from his morose stupor. "Aryana Tahari is a skilled necromancer, herbalist, and cultivator of plague. But her will is only one. United, the Jeweled Sages are stronger! Black Moon will keep me here no more. She corrupted our empire - and though it is passed I can do one more service for Osirion. I deny Tahari the Onyx Jewel! It belongs to me and to the Jeweled Sages!"
The mindscape shatters, its remnants absorbed by the Onyx Jewel, and Agate returns to her senses.
