Aulurius grumbles, "All signs point to Dwarves in barrels. Fine. I agree with the ruse, but I'll be ready to come out of the barrel fightin'!"

"Huntress," he smiles as he strokes the cat's ears, "stick by Sulana and protect the group, but be nice until you need to. Sulana, you look the most in tune with nature, and you'd draw the least suspicion with a pet tiger, not to mention she likes ye."

With that, Aulurius stalks off to find a suitable barrel. "And if someone rolls this barrel I swear on Golarion herself ye'll regret it!"

"False purpose?" Temel raises his eyebrows and opens one of his crates to reveal some fine unwoven silk. "A businessman always keeps an eye out for opportunity. And if it's money you're concern about, I will gladly pay the toll myself." He then withdraws and opens a purse to reveal a few platinum pieces.

It seems like the favour is to dock, pay toll and make some ruse. Who will be attempting the ruse check? And who will be hiding in the boxes?

Sulana nods. "I do prefer avoiding fights whenever possible. I'm not the best liar though. Someone else should probably do the talking." She thinks for a moment. Would that be a heal check? If so:

While seeing if she can remember anything useful, she smiles down at Huntress. "I would be honored to have a companion such as you. Thank you Aulurius, for your trust. I'll be sure to look after her, though I'm sure she's more than capable of taking care of herself."

As for diseases, I know what I've seen in the jungle, but my expertise was curing, not mimicking."

This does feel completely lose-lose, but I'm for hiding the dwarves and making port, so I'd hide.

Aulurius pauses and collects himself before smiling at Sulana. "Nature connects us all lass. I'm just happy to see someone else that understands that." He turns back to Temel "Now, are we hiding long enough to pay a toll and move on? And either way, where do you suggest we secluded ourselves? Plus, I'd figure Metella and Amauhak may want some say as well, seeing as they'll be hiding as well."

From the conversations, I'm gathering, hide the dwarves and animals. Everyone else will be up top.

Sulana gathers that perhaps a plague like disease perhaps might be befitting for the situation at hand. The dancing plague perhaps might be the easiest to pull off, where victims were psychologically ill to a point that they danced continuously for days without eating or drinking. Bird flu might work as well, where symptoms included people gawking like birds and having a strong desire and appetite to eat worms.

A few hours later, the vessel arrives at the dock. The city of Xer occupies the north bank of the Glass River, and its dozens of docks remain busy as ships headed both east and west call at the port. Grubby men and women in bulky jackets patrol the docks, and few smiling faces are to be seen. The captain decides to play it smart and chooses an n isolated berth sheltered on either side by tall warehouses. Meanwhile one of the sailors begin to toss a rope towards a dockworker to start mooring the boat towards the post nearest.

Even in isolation, three Razmiri enforces, one holding the taut leash of a slavering, halftamed wolf, begin to make their way towards the ship.

Whoever is going to do the talking, Temel will hand over to you 2PP, which is 20GP equivalent.

Before arriving at the port

Sulana turns to Bahram. "I agree, that's definitely a concern. However this does seem to be our best chance to avoid a fight. If Passad is right and they're willing to accept the bribe and move on, we'll slip by without drawing any attention to ourselves. It's a risk, but so is not paying the toll. We'll simply have to keep an eye on the situation and be prepared to flee if necessary."

When Axe mentions the bird flu, her face lights up. "That's actually a great idea! I was thinking the dancing plague, but if some crew members had the bird flu, we definitely wouldn't want to set foot on land. Too many worms around."

After arriving at the port

As discussed earlier, Sulana doesn't go near the dock. Instead she hangs back, where she can keep an eye on the situation (and shower it with arrows, if necessary). She gently rests a hand on Huntress' head. "Don't worry, we'll be out of here soon and then you'll be back with Aulurius."

As she sees the wolf, her face hardens. Completely irresponsible, taking a creature like that from the wilds and then not taming it fully. What were they thinking?

As far as you can tell from the docks, which is relatively isolated due to the buildings around the area, no dwarves seem to be in sight. Metella and her dwarven brethen take hiding along with Aulurius as to not take any chances.

As the Enforcers arrive, they spread themselves out around the ship. The one leashing the wolf shouts in an impatient manner towards the ship, "Alright, state your business and passengers. The toll is 10 gold pieces per head."

There is a map uploaded to the slides, please place yourselves as appropriate just in case something should go awry.

I won't go into the details of swim checks yet unless someone really wants to make it difficult for themselves and swim!)
