Down the ladder, a wooden ladder in the southeast corner descends from above into this untidy chamber. Some pieces of broken furniture lie scattered across the floor, along with some soiled clothing. An oaken door is to the west and a corridor leads north.

A cursory examination of the clothing lying about the room definitely looks to be belonging to humanoids of a dwarvern built. The door nearby is unlocked.

Tanbu, looking up the ladder, speaks up it. "If you are coming, get down here. I think we found something."

Tanbu pulls his sword and walks to the door. He waits a little for folks to get into the room and prepare. He holds up 3 fingers and starts to count them down. On 'fist', he opens the door.

People may be enjoying the weekend. I thought I would give them an opportunity to get in the room before opening the door or releasing the trap. I don't mind someone watching the stable door though.

Doors are always hard to do in PBP. Seems like they use a lot of energy for no benefit. You always check for traps, listen at them, check if locked, wait for everyone to decide to open them and then on the other side there is a short hall with another door.

Tanbu, you're good, it's better to clarify if you're not sure. I will always though refer to a previous post if I've already stated it as a nature of reminding players that you might miss out things, so pay attention to detail, and also because from a narrative it doesn't make sense to post the same thing twice.

Also, I certainly do not roll perception traps for players! I fully expect my players to notify me when they are looking for traps and generally pause when an opportunity to check traps come up.

With regards to dungeon exploration, in a typically long dungeon I do ask for a "order" of activities, which room preference? who does what upon entering a new room...etc, to help speed things up. But because this is a tiny dungeon in comparison, we're okay without it. Though I will intervene to move the group if need to.

With no magic or traps detected on the door, the group moves carefully to explore and finds a unremarkable room bare and featureless save for a few faint bloodstains on the floor. Immediately nearby is another unlocked door.

The bloodstains are generally dried, and don't seem to be pointing in any direction in particular. No magic, traps nor movement is discerned in the immediate area once more.

Tanbu boldly turns down the next door when the group is prepared.

This area is bare save for a rickety side table and chair set against the north wall. A set of keys lies on the table, alongside a browned, half-eaten apple, stale crust of bread, and dull paring knife. Several similar looking jail cells line the corridor.

Cell descriptions
The door to this jail cell has a small window at eye level, blocked by three vertical iron bars. Matted straw is strewn across the floor, and a set of manacles hangs affixed to the wall opposite the entrance. Two buckets sit at the center of this dank prison.

Several of those cells contained a single dwarf wearing nothing but underclothes bounded to the wall with manacles. They seem to be either unconscious, or exhausted to the point where they've given up on life.

F6 are unoccupied, F7 are cells with the imprisoned dwarves. What do you do? Also feel free to make heal checks to identify the dwarves conditions.

They barely regain consciousness although they are in no way in good health as you retrieve them from the cell using the keys. The doors make loud screeching noises but it seems that there are no guards to react to the ruckus.

By this time it is certain that these dwarves are the missing persons you seek.

One of the dwarves by the name of Rakuska, musters up enough strength to whisper the envoys' ordeal: they bypassed Xer only to be waylaid by a faith barge and have all their funds extorted from them before they were captured—though not without a fierce fight. The three were brought to this place with hoods over their heads, which their captors removed only when the party arrived at the inn’s gate. They’ve been interrogated twice by a “merciless Razmiri cleric calling herself Holy Ahendile,” who she reports is convinced the dwarves are in the country for some subversive, nefarious purpose. A mute boy brought them food infrequently and that they saw some smiling old ladies only on their arrival here.

For the record, I prefer if players rolled miss chance, low being miss is normally how I do it.

Sulana and Tanbu quickly react in hopes to catch the enemies off guard! But their vision is stinted in the dark of the night. Following closely, running out of the from the barn is the tiger and his druid master. The Huntress pounces and bites the sorcerer! She scowls at the creature.

Huntress, how is it considered a flank? It would hit without the +2 bonus but probably good to clarify the flanking. I don't see any teamwork feats on Huntress or Tanbu to allow flanking adjacent.

"How dare you attack!" She responds by taking a step back and casting fire upon her enemies.

Burning hands!: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) = 8 DC 14 reflex halves, Tanbu, Huntress, and Aulurius are in the area of effect.

Each guard takes aim at the closest enemy, shooting bolts from all directions! Huntress is badly injured.

light crossbow vs Aulurius: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 P: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Miss chance?: 1d100 ⇒ 58

light crossbow vs Huntress: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 P: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Miss chance?: 1d100 ⇒ 72

light crossbow vs Huntress: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 P: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Miss chance?: 1d100 ⇒ 37 Retcon vs Tanbu, but missed regardless.

Looks like huntress is going to be unconscious either way :(

Retcon is in order, seems like huntress position didn't sync from the google slides app. Also I forgot these guys have point blank shot so damage updated below.

The sorcerer moves back. Provoking from Tanbu and Huntress. And Aulurius is no longer a target of burning hands.

Bahram emerges from the stable, hearing the ruckus, and moves toward the closest enemy. Seeing that the threats are spread out, he applies a swift action of arcane strike to hopefully drop him in one swing.

Bahram's gamble pays off as he knocks out one of the thugs with a powerful strike of his axe.
