one of Nik's things is that he can control undead. Not just with spells like Control Undead or Command Undead, but also with a channeling ability ^^

Command Undead actually is more like Charm Person vs undead (except against unintelligent undead)

The channeling ability is like a permanent version of Control Undead, but intelligent undead get an extra save EVERY DAY

So in short:
Nik can order it to sit still while it's executed today, but that nat 1 will save was very clutch and it'll probably turn on us tomorrow.

Also, Nik has never successfully controlled an intelligent undead before, and may or may not have ever studied anything of the sort xD

This creature definitely has some sort of illusion powers. I think the one I controlled did some sort of mind-affecting thing that made us believe we were surrounding the enemy and we would've ended up killing eachother really good if it had rolld above a... 6? on the will save.

Also, it was 100% illusory shenanigans without innocent bystanders getting injured, hooray!
Nik only cares about collateral damage he has to pay for, but IRL I care for the health and safety of fictional innocents... for some darn reason xD

I wonder if Renik or whoever it was off'd himself because of some illusion O_o

TL;DR:
He's my minion (per Control Undead but gets 1 new save to break free each day, and we got lucky with Nik's ability ending the hard half of the fight.

Edit: something just occurred to me...

@GM: today is a day. Does he get a save to break free before he's been my new favorite informer for 24 hours?

Rinika got a number of fun new spells, but her big gain at 8th level is Wings of Shadow, which lets her fly. Fun!

Her priorities once we've wrapped this up are, before we leave Yggdrasil, go back to the lizard town and try to figure out what the hell is going on there, grab Akrynn's body, and check out the tower. With flight and invisibility, she's okay with scouting that out on her own.

Once we get back to Sigil:
1: Advance her Faction standing
2: Track down kyphi, a ruby, and some sort of small animal
3: get the chant on Lord Tenanbrous
4: Follow up on Stickbutt
5: If she has an afternoon free, some light burgling, perhaps at the residence of that guy who now owns that Church.

Also, our Dramatis Personae in the map sheets seems to have dropped off - I've found it to be pretty helpful since the posting rate seems to be slower than "realtime" and I get forgetful, if its something you're okay with putting back up, Delmoth. If its lost forever, thats unfortunate.

It doesn't matter much, since Nik can give you flight for mins/level, but we're only 7th level at the moment xD

Fixed that for you, not sure about your source. And yes that's what spell keys are for, to fix the weird magical effects.

Ok please be aware that pfsrd may lead you astray. Cannon Golarion has a different multiverse than cannon Planescape.

People native to Golarion will believe their interpretation of the multiverse is correct but are in fact not, which is why they as well as the other prime material natives are often considered clueless.

Yeah, definitely double moving. We can keep an eye out for the corpse and swing by where it fell on the way out.

Yep thats one purchase I want to make, either that or a magic weapon of some sort, I'll re-check I know there is a magic property that does the same thing (increase weapon dice) not sure if its more expensive though

Ooof. What an incredibly good idea. +1 size category from greensteel on top of titan mauler boosts to size sounds very smexy :3

Also, we're using automatic bonus progression, so we can all pick a single weapon to be +1

Impact is a +2 bonus that increases the effective size of a weapon, but I don't know if it would stack with greensteel.

@GM: assuming someone gets the feat to craft it, could we make a custom slotless magic item that helps the user put on their armor? :3
Probably should cost the same as a 1/day Unseen Servant item...
1x1x2000 would be the standard cost, over 5 for 1/day, x2 for not using an item slot:
Maybe 800gp is a good starting price point? (and half that to make it)

Yeah, Bed of Iron is certainly a possibility, one I had planned on preparing daily if we ever end up on a long trek through the wilderness, communal endure elements as well. With my low caster level, I view my spellcasting as a utility function over anything superpowerful, especially with the paladin list and not being Good.
