Thras Thestia |

Thras takes a swipe at the one crow who stayed too close.

He remains next to Sarela, prepared to take any attacks the crows allow him to.
At end of turn fatigue is over.
Possible AoO Naginata Attack (PA, TR): 1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 21

Aira Windsinger I |

Listening to Mith's suggestion, Aira rushes in to get close to her allies, before attempting to swipe at the lower witchcrow with her staff.
she shouts out to her allies "They took my component pouch! I can't cast more spells today without it!"

Listening to Mith's suggestion, Aira rushes in to get close to her allies, before attempting to swipe at the lower witchcrow with her staff.
she shouts out to her allies "They took my component pouch! I can't cast more spells today without it!"
Ah, a rare tactic but an incredibly devious one. There's a reason all of my spellcasters carry two spell component pouches: one on their belt, and one strapped to their inner thigh underneath all their clothes :P

Sarela Falrin |

Sarela grimaced as she got slashed by the talons, then stepped from the remaining Witchcrow before hexing it as well and cackling as she did.
Misfortune Hex on Blue, DC 16 Will, Cackle as a move action.

With the tree dispatched, fatigue gone and Sarela's hexes beginning to add up on the crows, Thras and Mithralline prepare to strike the crows once they come within striking range. After crows fall, the third retreats and flies off to the southwest.
We're moving on. Don't forget the loot hjere.
Continuing on, you come to an arbor where several large trees grow along the north edge of this long swath of greenery, and beds of dark purple flowers have been arranged to resemble a giant spider web. You move through a gap to the south and come to a long pond of inky, still water stretches across the north end of this large clearing, just south of a gap in the high hedges. A wooden bridge crosses the pond at its central, narrow point. A large, dense knot of shrubbery carefully pruned into a triangular shape eight feet high stands south of the pool, with another clearing beyond it. A few stone birdbaths stand around the pool.
A tall, thin woman in a crow mask stands on the bridge, with several gravestones floating in the air around her. Near her, perched on the railing of the bridge, is a giant raven the size of an eagle.
"I am Aydie," she calls out upon seeing you. "I take no joy in confronting you here, but you are defying the natural order. The shards of some unknown, dangerous substance are lodged in your hearts--likely, these are the cause of your strange condition. Yet that is besides the point--in order to restore the natural progression of your souls, you must die. Submitting to me is your best option. I will kill you mercifully. You have raised Mictena's anger--she is unlikely to be so kind."

Samalgee Dorn |

Sam also stands defiant "Yeah, that's right! Besides! It was really unnatural for our whole town to die like that in the first place! For no reason!"

Thras Thestia |

"Blah blah blah, I'm so high and mighty, blah blah blah, I know what's best." Thras mocks. "Lets skip to the part where you're choking on your own blood."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

Sarela Falrin |

Knowledge (planes): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
"You are an ahmuuth psychopomp. We are no renegade souls to be ushered on to Pharasma's judgement, and will submit ourselves to her when the time comes. However, we are not dead, and we show no scars or signs of injury from these shards you speak of. Allow us to return to the world of the living and find out what happened for ourselves. We will be back eventually, I am sure, and in a more appropriate form for facing judgement."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Thras Thestia |

Although Thras looks ready for violence, he does not seem out of control or out for blood. His position seems more to be "If you're going to attack us, I will take you apart."

GM ShadowLord |

Though she doesn't necessarily voice her opinion to each member as they chime in, it is Sarela's words she keys in. She nods along as if in agreement with her as she speaks. "It is not my place to allow you to return, unfortunately. I've been asked by Mictena to hold this bridge and to not allow you to pass, and I cannot turn a blind eye to her request. It is with a heavy heart that I must stop you from moving further. If it is of any significance to you, you have my apologies."
She looks to Thras and gives him a solemn nod, understanding. Turning to her giant raven, she says "Do not allow them to cross."

Aira Windsinger I |

Probably too late but...
"I beg you to reconsider. We have fought our way this far, and do not intend to stop. We are just trying to get home to figure out what really happened. I am sure Micenta is behind all of this. She is using you for her own agenda."
diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
"But if it is too late to try to settle this with our words, then we will be forced to defend ourselves, yet again."
Aira raises her staff high in the air, once again summoning a flaming sphere to drop down on the raven across the bridge.
fire dmg: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8 dc17 ref negates.
Flaming Sphere rounds remaining 3/4
If the GM would be so kind as to drop a flaming sphere again for me, on the raven, that would be fantastic. If there is a way I can do this myself, please let me know. Thanks!
