The door opens. The walls, ceiling, and floor of this room are coated with a thick layer of mold, with thousands of pale white filaments poking out like tiny fingers. However, the two rectangular objects in the center of the room are free of mold. The crystalline devices are marked with sharp-edged designs, and each has a dark computer console built into one side.

Ragabash Lupo |

"Mortals, our time on this Plane grows short. How else may we be of assistance?" The assembled Angels inquire of the Starfinders.
Since we aren't in rounds anymore feel free to call it whenever. The first group had 3 rounds left at the end of combat. The other three had 5.

Ellison "L" Wreg’lich |

L looks at the summoned creatures quizzically. Speaking first in common then Celestial if they don't seem to understand. "Uh. Grab the boxes and go outside? Thanks?"

Ragabash Lupo |

The speak Common.
The Outsiders do their best to carry out L's instructions with the time they have remaining.

What are you guys wanting the summons to pick up? If its the crystaline objects in the next room they are far too large to be carried.

Tiktik "Overclock" |

Tiktik sees buttons at last and rushes up to push said buttons.

Tiktik finds that the stations appear to be some sort of computer server. Unfortunately, the stations are unpowered. Using a high-capacity battery, however, Tiktik is pretty sure that a temporary power source could be jury-rigged. Requires an engineering check.

<To continue in Safe Mode, please enter password. In Safe Mode, the system is limited to D-Class operators and above. Consult your supervisor if you aren't able to access the system.>
This will require a Computers check to hack. I'm rolling your previous attempt over, but it fails to gain access to the system.

Talek and Tiktik are able to hack into the system.
It takes some searching, especially with the language issue, but eventually they are able to find what they are looking for: an admin code that opens a security entrance to the old military research facility--what the modern Kish refer to as the Temple Found. This will allow you to get inside, and--hopefully--figure out where the Cult of the Devourer has gone.
Before they get too much time to celebrate, one of the remaining patches of mold along the walls lurches out hungrily at Tiktik. Unfortunately, it takes a good chunk of wall with it. A tremor at your feet is the only warning you get as the building begins collapsing around you.
The heroes rush from the building just in time, a cloud of smoke and a pile of rubble the only thing left of the Securitech Systems building.
Congratulations! Level up!

Ragabash Lupo |

" 'Let's not listen to Rags. The building is fine' Some divine hand spared you all today."

Bepo Baloo |

What's important Ragabash is that we are all ok, but in the future might be better to listen to you a little more. Bepo chuckles.

Tiktik "Overclock" |

Tiktik emerges from the rubble with a nervous grin on his face as he looks toward Rags.
"You were right, but we got out safe! And Talek got the code we needed! Oh hey by the way, I found this crystal inside. It looks magical. Any idea what it does?"
reminder that we never detected magic/rolled mysticism to ID the item found here.
Also anyone want the scientist serums (+2 insight bonus to Computers, Engineering and Phys Science for 1 hour, and you can make the rolls untrained). They are insight bonuses, so they don't stack with mechanic's Bypass class feature or Operative's Edge, so they are no good to me or B-Bop.

Rags will investigate the crystal and cast detect magic.

Will cast Token Spell and clean everyone up now that we're back out of the building.
"We got the info we needed, so this should help out quite a bit. Plus, with as much contact as we've had with the native folks, I think I've picked up how to better communicate with them. Hopefully, it'll be helpful"

Thanks to a handy bit of magic, any remaining spores or dust are cleaned from the Starfinders.
The wide green patch of wilderness in the middle of Istamak blocks your view of the Temple Found, but its there, and inside, the secrets the Cult of the Devourer was seeking. Does information about the lost superweapon of the Kishalee lie inside?
What would you guys like to do? You can head directly to the Temple Found, if you like--the passcode you retrieved will get you in the Security Entrance, and with a little luck you may be able to retrieve the information you seek without any more bloodshed.
Or, you could continue to explore the city, return to the friendly Kish to inform them of what you've been doing and rest up, or something else.

Bepo Baloo |

Spending an RP to regain SP.
Now that we are all rested up, I think we should head directly to the Temple Found and get what we came for.

Tiktik "Overclock" |

"Sounds like a plan!"
Tiktik takes a moment to swap guns with his drone and load full batteries in each, then skips along with the others as they head to the Temple Found.
Updated my profile after swapping some gear around between me and Elliot now that I finally realized that it makes much more sense for me to use the ammo efficient Caustolance, and let him use the shorter range Thunderstriker.

Ragabash Lupo |

"I agree with the assessment and concur with the plan of action."

Going to give everyone a bit longer to finish leveling; post incoming tomorrow.

Map updated
The Starfinders move across Istamak towards the Temple, skirting the wide green belt.
The Temple Found is a brutalist structure of ferroconcrete and reinforced glass opaque from the scum and dirt of centuries. Outside the main entrance is an elaborate fountain with a hammer and anvil motif. The fountain is covered in Kish graffiti, as is the rest of the building, which appears to hold a significant ritual place in the beliefs of the Kish.
The security entrance you are looking for is down a side street, ending in a 20 foot high metal fence. Weeds poke through the alley surface, and a broken bench sits beside a door with no visible handle or hinges. An alphanumeric keypad sits on the surface of the door, its symbols written in Ancient Kishaleen.

Tiktik "Overclock" |

Tiktik will carefully approach the door and check for traps, while he sends Elliot up for a bird's eye view, to check for patrols, etc.

The area doesn't seem to have seen much traffic. Some Kish drawings adorn the walls here. There doesn't seem to be any danger here.

Bepo Baloo |

You want me to open the door and enter in first Overclock? Bepo will move forward towards the door.

Tiktik "Overclock" |

"Sounds good to me, Bepo."
"L, are we gonna try and talk to these guys? Or is it blasty-blasty time?" he smiles broadly at the second suggestion.

Bepo Baloo |

I think the first option is best Overclock. Bepo will wait till everyone is ready then he will open the door.

Tiktik "Overclock" |

Tiktik nods a little disappointedly, then turns to Talek.
"Hey Talek, I still can't quite make sense of the Kish alphabet. Everything just looks like a squiggle. Can you punch in the code?"

![]() |

The machine emits an alarming grinding sound after the passcode is punched in, and a severely distorted voice speaks in Kishalee as it opens.
"WEL-BZZT TO THE FOuuuuuuuuuuuu-CLK-CLK-CLK-CLK"
The air reeks of ozone. Inside, a faint layer of slime covers ever surface of several connected chambers. The largest open area contains a set of empty lockers, one of which seems likely to have contaned guns and ammunition in the past. There are several other rooms attached to the larger one, but you can't see in them from here.

Tiktik "Overclock" |

Tiktik will listen carefully for any reaction to the door opening and the welcome announcement, as well as looking for any signs of footprints in the slime.
