Ok, I'm getting frustrated with this. How do I upload anything?

Here we go, folks. You are all prospective members of the Starfinder Society, invited to meet with a dwarf named Duravor Kreel, who will show you around Absalom Station, and help you get settled in as new members of the Society.

Those from off-world will be arriving on the shuttle Okimoro, while those already on Absalom Station were instructed to meet Kreel and the others in Docking Bay 94.

Absalom Station glitters in its orbit about Mataras.

Several of you are crowded around the view port of the Okimoro as it approaches. Distantly, you can hear the comms officer receiving clearance to land in Docking Bay 94.

Nearby, a bloated human merchant chuckles mirthlessly.

"Look at the provincials, my friend, gawking at this ungainly eyesore like its the Jewel of the Pact Worlds. I suppose its nicer than anything they've seen on Akiton, though, so perhaps I should let the yokels marvel."

His bodyguard, a towering Vesk in Brigandine, gives a tight smile as he scans the area for threats.

"Yes, sir." he says tersely.

The ship pulls into the docking station, and with a pneumatic hiss the door opens, lowering a ramp down into the docking bay.

"Alright, folks, hope you enjoyed your flight on the Okimoro. Welcome to Absalom Station. Please gather your things and exit in an orderly but swift fashion." The captain of the Okimoro, looking eager to get to work unloading the goods the ship has been transporting, puts a good deal of emphasis the word swift.

The brightly lit docks of Absalom Station are abuzz with activity as travelers bustle by, preparing to board or disembarking from starships bound to or from any of dozens of worlds. Brash and swaggering starpilots, scurrying ysoki mechanics, and expectant colonists mingle with enigmatic kasatha mystics, hard-faced asteroid miners, imposing vesk mercenaries, and more, creating a microcosm of the abundance and variety of life in the Pact Worlds. New arrivals meet friends, loved ones, or business contacts, and are whisked away into the humming activity of daily life on the vast space station. Beyond them, ground crews tend to the docked ships, and dockworkers in mechanized cargo lifters load and unload freight and baggage. A sharp tang of ozone hangs in the air—a byproduct of electrical discharges from the docked ships—but underneath, the station’s atmosphere has a slightly used aroma. The docking bay’s deck plates thrum beneath your feet, though whether it’s from the passage of innumerable feet or the vibrations of the station’s power conduits and air recycling systems is impossible to say.

Feel free to introduce your characters and interact with one another.

A three-foot tall ball of gray fur covered in pouches haphazardly stuffed with tools bounds towards the disembarking travelers. With a wide smile, he greets them, speaking Common in very rapid fashion.

"HiI'mTikTik, orIguessOverclock, itdependswhoyouask. What'syourname? AreyougonnabeStarfinderslikeme? Ican'twait! Ooothat'sshiny! CanIsee?"

He begins touching and admiring any items the travelers are carrying, even going so far as to poke his head into any bags or pouches low enough to the ground for him to reach.

Volter hears the words of the captain and begins to make their way off the ship.

With their long duster jacket, fishnet shirt, cargo black pants and their synthetic brain in clear view on one side of their skull through its protective covering, they make their way to the docks and wonder to themselves, "Now what do I do from here?"

A 6 foot tall Android exits the ship and looks at the Captain "Thank you Captain for a perfectly adequate conveyance to the station."

Looking to TikTik "You may call me Talek, and I am indeed here to become a Starfinder. Which name do you prefer, TikTik or Overclock? also please refrain from rifling through my belongings."

A near 6 and a half foot Pahtra makes his way off of the ship with a sort of prideful stride. Everything he is wearing just screams to you either exotic or extravagant all the way down to his large plated, gold trimmed, jeweled boots. He looks to the captain and says, "As a captain of your own ship, I would have expected far better piloting skills. Why my grandmother could fly a ship more properly than you! At least, I believe she could have for I never knew my grandmother. She's probably dead after that Veskarium attack on Vesk-6. So even worse you're no better a pilot than someone's dead grandmother! Maybe you should visit Eox and she will give you a lesson! Aha-ha-ha-ha!"

After exiting the ship, Jax stumbles upon Tiktik, "I admire your energetic nature you little vermin, but as honest and innocent as your intentions may be, TOUCH THE BOOTS and it may be the last thing your little fingers will ever touch. As for everything else however, fell free to browse for I doubt I'll be missing anything once you've finished, if I make myself clear!"

Tiktik was overjoyed by the polite response from Talek.

"HiTalek! Youcancallmewhateveryouwant. Ohboy! Arewefriendsnow? Sorryabouttherifling. You'vegotsuchcoolstuff, andit'ssoclean!

Tiktik's belongings were caked in dirt, grease, and grime as if they'd never been cleaned once. They did however appear to be in working condition, although with a few makeshift repairs apparent.

After Jax spoke to him too, he couldn't believe his luck.

"Vermin? I'mnotvermin! I'maYsoki! Weareaverydignifiedandrespectab--" Tiktik caught sight of Jax's boots and got completely distracted. "Whoathosebootsarepretty! Dothesejewelscomeoff?Itseemslikeaweirdplacetoputyourjewelry."

Before Jax could even respond to Tiktik most definitely touching his boots (although failing to remove any jewels at least), the alarmingly short attention span of the ysoki was once again redirected, this time to the inner workings of android in clear view. He darted over to Volter and even rapidly jumped up on their shoulder to press his face up to the android's translucent head.

"Wowwowwowwow! Isthatyourbrain? Thatissofascinating! Icanseeyouthink! Youwerebeautifullymade! Icouldlearnsomuchfromyou! I'mTiktikbytheway." he said peeking around Volter's head to wave in their face and offer up a giant smile.

"Um, hello? Excuse me, why are you climbing on me? Who are you?" and Volter tries to pick the Ysoki off of them.

Squirming like a mouse in Volter's grasp, Tiktik took a moment to realize what had happened, then turned back to Volter and waved again.

"Didn'tyouhearme? I'mTiktik, orOverclock, that'swhatsomepeoplecallme. Oh...Maybeyouraudioreceptorsaredamaged? Icanhelpwiththat! I'mreallygoodwithmachines! Isn'tthatrightElliot?"

A series of beeps sounded from a figure that had blended into the background until it began jumping up and waving excitedly. Slowly the shape became a clear: a small two legged robotic figure with a large seat for a head that looked reminiscent of the child seat on a grocery cart.

Jax wonders from the party for a moment to the merchant stalls in search for a zipstick and a pair of mechanics fine leather gloves. (roughly 15-20 credits) "Here you go Tiktik. A little something to add some flair to your outfit. Oh, and you can call me Boots if you'd so wish."

You see big lumbering over 1000lb Uplifted Bear that is rather nimble on his feet for his size. His fur that's bright white other than a few black patches stands out very much. As the 10ft 6in Uplifted Bear gets closer he looks to be wearing everyday clothes nothing fancy.
As he begins to talk you notice right away he is hard to understand even though he is speaking common. Hello, my name is Bepo Baloo. Are you guys gonna join the Starfinder Society like me?

"To you, Talek, you may call me Jax. You may also want to find a way to secure your gear too as well as your brain if its not locked up well inside your head for our Ysoki friend seems keen on tinkering with it."

Tiktik's energetic squirming came to a sudden halt. He slowly turned and looked at Boots holding out the gloves for him. Timidly he approached looking up with wide, fearful eyes like a stray dog being offered food.

He spoke much more slowly now "For me? To keep?"

"Bepo Baloo. I am pleased to make your acquaintance for I have never seen an uplifted bear this close before. It has always been from the view ports of our ship whether they were on the opposing ship or floating in space. Hopefully you're just as cuddly as the not so animated stuffed toy I saw in the marketplace. More so than other bears I have encountered."

Volter addresses the bear, "I'm sorry, whats the Starfinder Society?"

Jax looks back down at the Ysoki, "Yes Tiktik! Ha Ha, they are yours to keep. Also I believe that zipskick will come in handy with your tinkering or should you find yourself in a jam."

Addressing Volter, You never heard of the Starfinder Society, they are great my dad is in the Exo-Guardians. He helps protect different places.

Addressing Boots, Well depends on how you are if I am nice or not so nice you see his teeth show just a little. Then telepathically in your head you hear. Don't ever refer to me as stuffed toy again....you hear me

With a thumbs up, smirk and a wink "I guess we'll find out now wont we, Tedd."

Tiktik's eyes welled up, as he jumped and wrapped his arms around Jax's leg, and began sobbing uncontrollably.

"Ohyou'rethebestthebestthebestinthewholegalaxy! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!"

After thoroughly soaking the fine materials of the pahtra's posh clothing, Overclock stepped back and quickly slipped the gloves on and off repeatedly, stunned by how well they fit. Then he began playing with the zipstick, and promptly shocked himself. His eyes went wide with excitement, and he quickly started dismantling the device. After a minute he quickly reassembled the device, popped it into his mouth, and trotted off proudly.

I would much appreciate you not call me that please.

Addressing Bepo, "I believe I heard you say your name is Bepo? I am Volter. What else can you tell me about this Starfinder Society?"

I don't know too much just how my dad protects people and it's for a good cause

"I see, I feel this is in need of more investigation and understanding as this may coincide with my interest. Are you heading there now and can I accompany you?"

Turning around, Tiktik finally took notice of the massive bear in their midst. He ran over and began stroking and petting Baloo's fur.

"Holywhiskers! You'rehuge! Andfluffy! Andyoucantalk! Ohboyohboy! Youmustbeanupliftedbear! Doyourememberwhenyouweredumb, Imeanbeforetheygaveyouintelligence? Wowwhatamarvelofbioengineering! What'syourname? Doyouhaveaname?"

Distracted by a new thought Tiktik jumped out in front of Baloo.

"WannaseewhatmybestfriendBootsjustgaveme? he said as he spat out the zipstick into his hands, a small string of saliva stretching between his mouth to the tool, and promptly soaking into his brand new leather gloves. He waved it around like a wand, occasionally activating it and lighting up the tip with sparks.

Then catching the conversation between him and Volter, he joined in, "WhoaStarfinders? Iwannabeone! Iwannaseedistantplanets! Pleeeeeeeeease?"

With a look of disgust on his face, Jax somewhat smiles after looking at his boot and then back to the Ysoki muttering under his breath, "You little s+~@... (sigh)."

Jax then turns to Bepo and leans on him, stealthily wiping his boot across Bepo's hairy leg and saying, "Bepo, everyone gets a nickname every now and then whether the like it or not. It's a way of life. It's how you roll with it. Like how I got the name "Boots". I was annoyed at it first but with time I took to respect the name and gave it meaning and soon all my friends would call me Boots."

Addressing Volter, Yes I was about to head there now. We could definately go together and any other if you guys want to.

Addressing Overclock, My name is Bepo Baloo. I have always been this way but I have spent a long time finding out how we become the way we are now, us Uplifted Bears. I met this Boots fellow.

"as we all seem to be interested in the Starfinders, perhaps we should attempt to make contact with them? Time waits for no being."

"BepoBaloo? Whatagreatname! I'mTiktikbutyoucancallmeOverclockifyouwant."

Turning to the group as a whole, Tiktik blushed like a bashful child, and said, "Todayisthebestdayever! Imadesomanyfriends! AndIgettobecomeaStarfinderandgoonadventures?" The next noise he made sounded like a squeal although it could have simply been a string of words rattled off even faster than his normal hyper speech. Tiktik himself couldn't say for sure.

"The Starfinders are great and all, but nothing close to the Free Captains. On your ship, you set the rules and break them as you see fit. I have seen a many planets on my journeys with many tales to tell of them. I have also experienced many creatures of these worlds both intentionally and unintentionally for reasons of business and pleasure. Where ever you can rest your boots, I've been there or have at least heard in my many travels."

Well after all the other passengers have disembarked from the shuttle, a slouching half orc with a purple mohawk haircut disinterestedly shuffles down the ramp, his dark shades covering his eyes as he stares at his communications device and works his thumb casually on the touchscreen. He's dressed in a distinct "street" style of ripped leathers accented with occasional metal spikes and pins and patches that display various antiestablishment epithets. On the back of his leather jacket in a stylized font similar to dripping spray paint reads "B-Bop". He eventually comes to a stop near the conversing group and without lifting his gaze from his handheld device, grunts slightly and mumbles, "Huh, yeah, Starfinder."

Anyone noticing what's on the half orc's screen will see he's playing "Doot Doot Magic Flute", a simplistic mobile game app geared for children.

"If I were you, green-skin, I'd hide that device as fast as you can. There's little fingers about and you might just "lose" it unexpectedly." Jax says eyeing over at Tiktik.

As apathetic and aloof the young half orc's demeanor looks and appearing decidedly not interested in paying any attention to small talk type conversation, he reaches down with his free hand to a holstered laser pistol to brush the handle at the mention of an overly tactile ysoki in reference to his comm device.

Jax, noticing this slight gesture, gives a slight nod to the half-orc and thinks to himself "Going to get along nicely with this guy." Jax leans down towards Tiktik and whispers to him, "If you'd like to make sure nothing happens to your nice gloves, I'd give that guy a little space. Besides, he doesn't have many shiny things on his person."

"Does anyone know where the Starfinder Society building is located?"

"Ha, I'm a member and I dont even remember where it is. Too much time out on the fringes can do that to you, or I just dont care. Both are valid statements."

"Perhaps we should look for a competent individual who knows their way around this place, unless you know the way TikTik? as they gesture to the ysoki.

Tiktik eagerly ran over to meet the last one off of the transport. When he saw he was playing an app on his comm, he got even more excited.

”Ooo! IsthatDootDootMagicFlute? Ilovethatgame! What’syourhighscore? Haveyoubeatlevel37? TheSpaceMonkeyswatsdownmywatermeloneverytime!”

"Hey now. I know a subtle insult when I hear one! I happen to know where many of the crime syndicates are held at and their dealings as well as a few shady operations. Not that I'd disclose their whereabouts. You can say I have a delicate relationship with them." Jax says annoyingly, turning his head towards Volter in distaste.

"Congratulations, I'm sure someone is proud of you." They turn back to Tiktik, "Tiktik, do you know the way?"

"As a matter of fact, with my short time on this station I've come to know many individuals and contacts, whether or not they knew of my or know of my existence. Like a "certain young ysoki" who I have known about for some time now. There's a bright future for that kid." Jax says with pride.

Tiktik took a while to notice Volter speaking to him, he was so engrossed with the video game.

”Tiktik? That’sme! I’mTiktik! OhyeahIknowtheway. I’vefoundmywayintoeverywhereonthisstation. Andlotsofplaceswayhardertogetinto. Manthemobbosswassomad. Thetrickisthatnobodyputssecuritysystemsintheirsewerline.”

Accosted by the overly energetic mechanic, the half orc snarls and raises his device up high before pocketing it in his jacket pocket.

"Sprockin' hell, you sprockin' little drek! Sprock, if I wudn't out on probation I'd be poppin' yuh head off an' rippin' out yuh soul and takin' a drek down yuh sprockin' neck hole..."

The angered half breed trails off as a well-practiced sneer curls over his tusks.

"Mess wit' my game, yuh sprockin` sprock..."
