The stables seem to hold little more than rotting wood, death and decay. This large stable could easily accommodate dozens of horses, although it is empty now and its wooden dividers are shattered. Dozens of blackened horseshoes are scattered across the stone floor.

    Actually, Can I have a couple minutes to work on these strange horseshoes?
    Atium starts to collect the horseshoes and put them in his bag of holding.
    I want to see if I can reshape these things. I have my forge with me, it'll take probably 5 or 10 minutes to see if I can reshape these into crude stakes. At the least, the pounding will attract whatever dangers might be on this level.

    If given the go-ahead - Atium goes to a defendable spot and pulls out his Anvil of the Skyseeker and begins work on one of the blackened Horseshoes. Reshaping it.
    Heck- might as well get a small use out of one on my magic items!

    Givena few minutes Atium reforms one of the blackened horsehoes. A memento of sorts in remembrance of home and why he is doing this task set out by the Gods.

    The thick wooden doors that protected this winding ramp crumbled to gritty powder and splinters under the force of the Radiant Fire, leaving only the lowered iron portcullis at the top of the ramp to bar the way. Arrow loops along the walls allow defenders to rain missiles on attackers ascending the long ramp, but no attackers remain to do so.

    All except for Atium and Tess notice the trap set forth here. One of Hammer Rock’s magical defenses uses holy power and raw force to strike anyone approaching the inner gate, killing or incapacitating them long enough for the castle defenders to rally. You can easily by pass it with the phrase yu collected.

    The two buildings to the south used to be the Smithy. These buildings house the forge, cartwright, and other craft operations necessary to maintain the castle and its occupants. Although there are sufficient discarded tools to deduce each room’s purpose, nothing of value remains.

    Vanyan points off to some of the smaller outbuildings first.

    The first is a bathhouse. This facility includes a large bath wide enough to accommodate half a dozen people, two smaller rooms with individual baths, and a fireplace for heating water.

    Next building appears to be the outer kitchens. This extensive kitchen serves most of the castle’s soldiers and visitors, and it boasts a large bread oven.

    Lastly is the large tower to the southwest. Built to accommodate the bronze dragon Ptemiazrol, who resided within the ruin when crusaders came to construct Hammer Rock, this broad tower has thick interior columns supporting its upper level. The knights used the tower’s lower level for storage, and it still holds the remains of timber, quarried stone, and bags of grain (now reduced to gritty ash). No stairs reach the upper level of this aerie as it was Ptemiazrol's personal aerie.

    Obviously you could still fly or climb up there if you wish.

    Vinas and Vanyan make their way to the top of the tower where it seems Ptemiazrol did indeed leave behind a few useful items.

    The dragon’s aerie contains what little treasure he carried from his previous home. This includes bracers of armor +4, a potion of haste (CL 10th), a crown of conquest, 13,400 sp, and 2,110 gp.

    Unfortunately you have little time to grab anything as a massive dark shadow blots out what little bit of the sun was shining through. Shielding your eyes you look up to see the dark shadow of a dragon quickly approaching.

    What do you do?

    Vanyan does indeed catch glints of golden scales among the dragon, though as it draws closer something seems terribly wrong. This ghostly, skeletal creature appears to once have been a dragon, but it is now something far less noble. "Deriliction of duty! You have caused the deaths of all these noble defenders!" The dragon's voice booms.

    Being the object of this things attention is the kind of thing that Atium wants. He's made of hearty stock.
    The green beam hit him and Atium instantly knows that the powers that flow through Baba Yaga are using this dragon and coming for his soul!

The negative energies hit the hammer's head and dulls the magics. Still, the magics are too powerful to be fully denied and a painful streak of pain his his hands. They spasm and he loses his grip!

    The hammer falls 40 feet to the ground.
    While the hammer falls, crossbow bolts streak upward. A beam of light- like Arazni's smile --also zooms upward to strike the dragon. Ending it.

    This was its lair. This was the bronze dragon Ptemiazrol who resided here at Hammer Rock. It seems the dragon was present when the Radiant Blast went off, killing it.

    Gathering the gear and making sure Atium is somehow still alive the group only has one last building remaining uninspected.

    This imposing stone gatehouse stands as the only entrance to the forty foot-tall keep within Hammer Rock. Its two doorways to the east and west are both sturdy wood, although the western door is broken and hangs awkwardly from its hinges. As the sole means of entering the four-story keep, this imposing gatehouse’s two doorways represent the last line of defense for Hammer Rock.

    As you open the door a spectral half-orc ghost wearing full knight regalia marked with the the rank of Captain etched upon his armor hovers in the middle of the keep. It glances at Vinas holy sword. "Have you come to defend the keep or have you come to loot what remains?"
