Vinas stares into them Sense Motive: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 31
"It seems to me that you're actually glad we're here." At the mention of needing masks, Vinas backs up. "Toss us spare masks if you have them. Then we'll talk." Wait.... I feel like we do have them. Am I misremembering?

![]() |

You do have masks. Just have not put them on.

Aishe Danior |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30 vs DC 20
Aishe, wearing his mask, waits for the group to tell these two to sod off as they have the others. He keeps his crossbow handy in case they draw those weapons of theirs.

![]() |

@Tess - You would have had time to review the book.

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan waits for a bit, then saunters down to the next doors, waiting more.

![]() |

The group looks to Aishe wearing his mask and then back to Vinas. "Put yer damn mask on or Umbarno is going to be pissed." One of the men tosses Vinas a spare mask. "You just come here cause you lost your mask?"

Vinas uth Antimanes |

"Right. Hey, where is Umbarno anyway?"

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan pulls out all the masks and makes sure everyone is wearing them, adjusting the straps as needed.
"Ah good, yeah...make sure it's facing right side up Tess, there you go," he says.
And then we waits for the answers before moving forward.

![]() |

"He's downstairs working." The man oits down towards the floor. "Sealed himself in tight with tree roots and vines from that central room upstairs. You must have been a part of the assault on the city when he went down. Didn't miss a lot here, Umbarno set us to guarding this room, but that was a few days ago." One of the men yawns. "It is so boring."

Aishe Danior |

Aishe looks at the others and sighs, "You lot can clear off. We're taking this place over and putting it under new management. You can go quietly, or we can kill you for what your group has done to the town."
He hoists his crossbow until it's aiming at the pair, "It's up to you."

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan's head quirks as if he just heard Aishe fart semi-quietly, but he's really not sure. Something happened, but not what he was expecting.

Tessenarin |

Tessenarin inwardly sighs as he hears Aishe. Clearly Aishe needs to pay more attention to what I have tried to teach him.
"we do highly recommend you depart immediately unless you would like your head parted from your body."

Vinas uth Antimanes |

Vinas shakes his head, expecting the worst...

Atium of Varg |

Atium hears the flatulance from Aishe and laughs.
Aishe.. come on now. You needed to tell them how badly your mask itches when you wear it, and that human brain paste smeared around the edges might get rid of the itch! THAT might make them think twice about messing with us.
He turns to the guards that really should be begging to leave with their lives.
Don't you think you'd want to just leave peacefully, and NOT be the brains we crack open to test if it makes the masks stop itching? I'm mean, and nasty and *I* want to test this idea out.
intimidate: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23
I guess his intimidation was too long winded. But Aishe's intimidation had stinky wind!

Aishe Danior |

"I care not." Aishe says without passion, "Stay or go, we shall prevail for there are few of them. But if they go, perhaps evil will be done elsewhere. So perhaps we are wrong in even giving them an opportunity to save themselves."
He shrugs and awaits their decision, growing somewhat curious as to what it might be...

A bit hungry Aishe's squeaker seems to break the tense silence as Atium and Tessenarin convince the men to leave with no harm done to them. One of the men holds his hands up. "Back blast area was not clear. No need to crop dust my man." Lucky for most is that the masks seem to mask the foul smell permeating the room. The men squeeze past and leave you to your foul plans.

"I.... with everything we've seen...." Vinas just shakes his head. He looks about the room, not sure he believes how that all went down, hoping that no bard ever gets hold of that part of the story.

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan waits at the next door, never wondering what happened in that room.

![]() |

Searching the room Aishe finds little more that small saplings and sprouts. Joining Vanyan in the next door down the hall you find it to be securely locked.

Vinas uth Antimanes |

"I meant a Pathfinder once, not Vanyan, who told me that behind locked doors are answers."

Vanyan Kaleseder |

”True. True,” Vanyan agrees. ”Beyond the Green Doors have the most interesting answers.” Vanyan only states the lore he’s heard, not that he knows.
If Aishe is unable to unlock the door, Vanyan will use the staff to passwall a way in.

Beyond the Green Doors have the most interesting answers.
Atium recalls stories from his clan about the amazing and sometimes odd things found beyond green doors.
Yes. I heard people have found moose beyond the green doors. Some found kegs and kegs of root beer and regular beer beyond the green doors! Sadly, they never do find kegs of Whiskey or Mead beyond the green doors. He listens intently to hear what other mystical things might be beyond the green doors.

Aishe feels the resistance and hears the audible click of is job done right as the door swings open.
This unpleasantly warm room is in a shambles, with shattered glass, dirt, broken trays, and overturned shelves strewn throughout. Large vines and other plants grow throughout the room, overgrown and uncontained. A few piles of bones, decomposing body parts, and the relatively intact carcass of a large goat lie in the center of the room. A wooden door opens in the eastern wall.

Aishe Danior |

Aishe smiles to himself as the lock comes free to his picks.
He puts them carefully away and picks up his crossbow before entering the chamber and looking around.

He'll then move on to the next door and ready for hostilities.

I think, in general, you still need to make a grapple check (CMB vs. CMD) to have a grapple yes? First is the to hit, then again for the grapple. I assume the plant has a monster CMB, but still, it needs to be rollt.

That sword and fire proved perfect for such a creature that obviously wants to pick us up and toss us in it's gullet.
I can trade out a Belt of Mighty Constitution +4 for the Monkey belt. Seems fun and animal like! Anyone need +4 to COn and a belt slot?
Or, is the monkey belt better for anyone else. one other question, are the two spells still active? Barkskin and MC against Evil?

But Vanyan says none of that, nor would he ever. He’s not a braggart or anything, just a quiet hero quietly doing hero things.
Because he is not being smug or self-satisfied at all, Vanyan has time to search the room for magics.
