GM Greenclaw |
Welcome everyone!
This is an Outpost II session and will be kicking off on 11 March. Recruitment list is HERE.
My basic 'rules':
1. Everyone's favourite rule...HAVE FUN!
2. If you have any questions or issues that are getting in the way of Rule No. 1 let me know and I am sure we can sort them out.
3. Please try to post regularly, at least once a day as a minimum during the week and at least once over the course of the weekend.
4. If you are going to be absent or unable to post for an extended time please let me know so that we can work around this, and ideally leave some 'botting instructions' so we can keep the game going while you are gone.
For chronicles, please post the following information now in this format:

Serres "Fade" Vahl |
Player Name: Greymore
Character Name: Serres "Fade" Vahl
PFS ID#: 133512-12
Faction: Dark Archive
Character level (for subtier determination): 9
Normal or Slow track: normal
Day Job check or Downtime activity: Sleight of Hand(Thieves' Guild): 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (10) + 26 = 36
Anything special you want to highlight about your PC: Fade is a social misfit that has little(if any) respect for almost all types of boundaries. Often seen as a curmudgeon, especially without his drink, Fade can be very sarcastic but he is generally good at heart and he always supports his team.
He most readily takes plays the role of a ranged rogue in a party, disabling traps from a distance and performing recon where allowed.
1)He is almost always invisible, as it makes things so much easier for him on a regular basis. Less running and hiding, more drinking and well... drinking. Since it doesn't take any burn to do, he just reactivates it when it would end. His TK invis is not full invis and only offers +10/+20 to stealth, but it also muffles sound so blindsight doesn't automatically work to find him.
2)He is always scanning for opportunities, as sharp eyes and ears bring home the best hauls. He takes 10 whenever he can for perception checks. Feel free to either roll for him or ask me to roll if you prefer.
3)He starts his day off with burn, bumping up his force ward, and then tries to remain free of further burn throughout the rest his day through various choices for actions. His current stats should reflect this.
4)He can heal with kinetic healer, but he always passes the burn on to the person he heals. For those that don't know, 1 burn = 1 NL damage per HD of the person healed, and it can't be healed until the person rests for the day. So if Fade heals a 9th level char it will cause them 9 NL dmg, but heal them for the same amount as his blast. It's a good trade off under the right conditions.
5)Fade loves to just take things. He even seems to absentmindedly pick pockets. Other times he fleeces people intentionally, via dice games and cheating or an outright TK pickpocket, but if someone is really down on their luck, he is willing to throw a game or reverse pick pocket some change into their pouches. He has exceptional slight of hand and uses it at a range of 45 feet(short range) via TK Finesse so it's fairly hard to catch him.
6)In combat he will usually stand in one place(preferably from behind some cover or out of reach of a melee attack at least), using gather power as a move action and attack with an empowered blast as a standard action, using no burn for the attack. He usually plays it smart and looks to maximize his position, but there have been moments where he has acted as a distraction/target to save a friend, though that is not his preferred course of action. If the situation really calls for it, such as very tough fight that needs a swift ending, he will use burn to empower and maximize his attack.
Malusha |
Player Name: Mindxing
Character Name: Malusha
PFS ID#: 212182-3
Faction: Scarab Sages
Character level (for subtier determination): 7
Normal or Slow track: Normal
Day Job check or Downtime activity: Profession(poet): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Anything special you want to highlight about your PC Nothing special
I'm a little late signing up for Outpost games but this looks like a great team to join. I hope you don't mind a humble cleric of Sarenrae joining you.
Ansha Saeralyan PFS |
Player Name: Ansha
Character Name: Ansha Saeralyan
PFS ID#: 16188-3
Faction: Dark Archive
Character level (for subtier determination): 8
Normal or Slow track: Slow track
Day Job check or Downtime activity: Knowledge (local) via Information Brokerage vanity): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Anything special you want to highlight about your PC: Ansha's prestige class allows her to covertly cast divination and enchantment spells (observers must beat both her Bluff and Sleight of Hand rolls to notice when she casts such a spell). Her Subtle Enchantments feat also means that any time someone succeeds at a Will save against an enchantment she cast on them, there is a 50% chance they do not notice they made a save.
Spackle McGapfiller |
Player Name: TriShadow
Character Name: Spackle McGapfiller
PFS ID#: 151777-3
Faction: Grand Lodge
Character level (for subtier determination): 6
Normal or Slow track: Normal
Day Job check or Downtime activity: Perform Comedy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
Anything special you want to highlight about your PC: With the Flame Dancer archetype, I can use bardic performance to allow the party to see through smoke, fog, fire, and the like. A strategy that has been useful in the past is to drop Obscuring Mist and use the bard in order to allow the party to see and act whilst the bad guys are visually compromised.
Dryden Nightember |
Player name: Codar
Character name: Dryden Nightember
PFS ID#: 150086-01
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Character Level: 8
Track: Normal
Day Job: Alchemy 9 Alchemy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Anything Special: He is a Bladebound/Myrmidarch/Spell dancer. Not so optimized but a fun build. Dryden is proud of his elven heritage. Perhaps too proud. He is often seen as being indifferent at best or downright rude to most others he runs across. His opinion has changed over the years as he has had increasing interaction with other races. Even he cant deny that there are truly exceptional people in the world that are in fact not elven.
Carina Villasani |
I saw your request and, since I wanted to play Carina, hopped in.
Player Name: Garon N, aka Blue Moose
Character Name: Carina Villasani
PFS ID#: 153161-6
Faction: Dark Archives
Character level (for subtier determination):7
Normal or Slow track:Normal
Day Job check or Downtime activity:Craft(Calligraphy): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
Anything special you want to highlight about your PC: Carina's Harrower prestige class allows her to perform a Harrow reading to give the party a buff to a stat, and 2/day allows her to draw 3 cards while casting a spell for a chance to buff a spell. At the moment, it's just for penetrating spell resistance, though.
EDIT: As this is important to my character: Here is the FAQ regarding using a Harrow Deck in Online Play.
Spackle McGapfiller |
As the lowest level here, I'm good playing up. I would hate for people to loose out on gold just 'cuz o' little ole me. That said, it may come down to the 8's and 9 to carry some of the brunt, and I get that too.
Carina Villasani |
I am leaving on a vacation with my family on Sunday, March 24th until Sunday, March 31st. During this time, I'll have limited access to the site. I will try to keep up on my games, but if you feel the need to bot my characters during this time, feel free.
Carina Villasani |
Umm.... Fade? I don't think you can do non-lethal with a kinetic blast without the Expanded Metakinesis feat to add Merciful Spell to a kinetic blast.
Ansha Saeralyan PFS |
Sorry, yes, it wasn't clear that you hadn't been able to move your token so I just assumed you'd already done so, perhaps just taking a 5' step. Happy for you to move (or describe) where you want Ansha to have moved to. Technically she shouldn't have moved until after the psychementals, but since it was my mistake to post that she was up, happy to overlook that and for her move to take place before their attack for this round.
Thanks! I went ahead and moved her map token. I assumed she could move 30' and that there wasn't rough terrain off the beaten path or anything, so let me know if that's wrong.
Seeing as Crowns was the dominant suit in this reading, The party gets a +1 insight bonus on all Caster Level and Concentration checks for 24 hours.
Also, I forgot about this, but all our Concentration and spell penetration rolls get an additional +1 thanks to Carina's Harrow deck reading earlier in the game-day.

We should be wrapped up in a couple of days, but in the meantime I need to report the game. If you need to update any of the details provided, now is the time to do so.
Also, everyone gets to roll a 1d20. If you roll a 19 or 20, you'll win a boon. Roll a 1d4 to see which one you get. Good Luck!
Sacred Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Ansha Saeralyan PFS |
1d20 ⇒ 8
Carina Villasani |
Before we finish, Ansha, would you be interested in a spell trade? Carina has a rather robust spellbook.
Ansha Saeralyan PFS |
I'm always game.
Carina Villasani |
Thanks for the run, Greenclaw. It was entertaining.
Ansha, if you don't mind, I'd like to scribe these spells:
1 Expeditious Retreat, Hold Portal
2 Acid Arrow, Adoration, Detect Thoughts
3 Slow
4 Greater Invisibility, Solid Fog, Stoneskin, Remove Curse, Secure Shelter
5 Feeblemind, Dismissal
With a take 10 on the Spellcraft check, I don't fail at learning any of these, and with my Blessed Book, I don't need to spend any money to scribe them in.
Feel free you claim what you need from me.
Ansha Saeralyan PFS |
You'll need to roll 1d4 too, to determine what boon you get, Dryden.
Carina, those spells are fine with Ansha.
As for her, she'll scribe:
1--Ant haul, vocal alteration, air bubble, floating disk, hydraulic push, liberating command
2--euphoric cloud, investigative mind, twilight haze, web
3--harrowing
She can't fail her Spellcraft rolls either, and it'll cost 414gp after her wizard's tower vanity.
