yeah the ants have DR 5/bludgeoning; Immune undead traits, and Burst when they die, creatures adjecent need to make a save. Your character would think it odd that they're undead and not genuine living ants.

Sothkoro, I could heal you but that would only leave you prone directly in front of the queen and the ant. Let me try to clear things a bit.
Untir grunts when he sees Sothkoro fall. He pauses briefly considering his options, but bringing Sothkoro back now does not seem wise strategically. Thus, ignoring the ant directly in front of him, Untir releases his spirits in a burst of divine energy, bursting through all the undead ants. He then pulls a scroll (cure serious wound) out into his hand just in case.

Searching the area, the party finds the amberhollow relic.

Bujune the gremlin lifts the curse on Stuinvolk. He is notably less tense, on the return journey and with his curse removed, sometimes even segues into something that approaches happy. He still has traumas to work through, of course, as he isn’t “cured” of his past, but this expedition helps to put a lot of his ghosts to rest. He mentions that while he doesn’t see himself doing fieldwork again, he might consider working in a supporting capacity at the lodge level.
