Spell away, Spec clutches his rifle to his feathered chest and waits with bated breath to see if his trick will result in poorly positioned punks, or significant quantities of hot metal flying in his general direction.
After the sounds of jackboots pass him by, he decides to play make-believe-sniper and shoot at the patrol cadet on drag (Red).

Just realized I gave a surprise round action, but not a Round 1 action! Here's round 1:
With the angry-sounding cadets awfully far-away sounding, Prosper drops his flare rifle to the group and advances towards them carefully. He bumps into Dalinar and Rush and whispers "Where are they" before the green azlanti suddenly shouts out in alarm.
"Oh. Right there, got it!"
He draws his survival knife.
(Can't move and draw weapons yet! How embarrassing :>)
------
Botting Pon:
Pon moves on in and draws his baton during the moment of surprise, then turns to use it on the green azlanti cadet (in round 1).
trick(bluff): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
baton attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
baton damage (B): 1d4 ⇒ 1

Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 84

Wint |

Its been a long day and I'm off to bed, so I'm going to post out of order. Botting myself :-)
Wint would, as usual, sneak into the mist and then try and stab the Pink Azlant.
stealth for trick attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
tactical baton (KAC): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Wint is concentrating so hard on hiding that he pays almost no attention to his own blow, missing by a country mile.

GM Hmm |

As Pon lunges at him, he barely bruises Green, and then Green laughs at how many times he was missed.. "कोई बात नहीं, ये दयनीय हारे हुए हैं। हम उन्हें मोप करेंगे, और उन्हें ओलाजरा दिखाने के लिए वापस बेस पर लाएंगे।"
The others nod grimly, and begin striking into the fog.

Yellow misses Dalinar, but Red and Green both hit their quarry. "हा, हम दोपहर का भोजन करेंगे!" Red boasts, and then calls out playfully in common, "Surrender now, rebel scum. If you do... We won't kill your families after we kill you. Don't make me get to three. ONE....
GM Coin Flip: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Pink stumbles deeper into the graveyard. "इस दिशा में कुछ शॉट थे, और वर्तनी भी... हा! मैं तुम्हें, मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया!"
Pink stumbles right past the quiet skittermander to aim for the larger and louder Minos. Because of the concealment, there is no attack of opportunity.

Pre-posted actions:
Rush slices deep into the Red soldier with his bone blade, but Wint, startled by the Pink Azlani soldier passing him by, misses in the fog! Red gasps as he holds his side. "I changed my mind. We'll kill your families. Slowly. While you watch."

Love the "Azlantis Nullified" statistic in your stat bar HMM.
Prosper is momentarily frozen in shock and horror as the Azlanti he scratched suffers an acute case of 'exploding head syndrome'. He stares down at his survival knife. Could it be that his dagger is really a bloodthirsty cursed blade, empowered by the Devourer to slay the living? Or was his Legion training really that effective?
He turns in a daze towards the final azlanti cadet and plods towards it.
'Even on an azlanti- Should I use such a fearsome weapon? Such a terrible death like your head exploding... it probably hurts a lot. And that's gotta be against the Eoxian Convention Laws, right?'
Nevertheless, with the azlanti trying to kill his allies, he resolves to use the evil blade once more.

What do you do?

Pon looks to the professor with a serious face. "Professor, you need to reply with, 'These damned mudballers organized and attacked our squad at the cemetery. We dealt with them and are checking on our people. Orders?'" He drops his baton and grabs Spec's face in his hands and says in a semi-soothing low voice, "Professor, you have to sound angry but collected. Imagine all of the people that have died to the Azlanti. Imagine all of the terrible things that the Azlanti have done and will do. Remember your people. Don't shout or yell, but hold that anger and fury in the back of your throat as you speak."

He picks up the comm unit, and just for a moment, pictures what it would be been like to have parents... Or to be more than a racial footnote. If not for THEM!!
The timid little professor squares his shoulders, and in his vivid orange eyes floats the predator that might have been.
He keys the comm and snaps into it (using heavy breathing and angry bosses to mask clicking noises) "इन शापित मडबॉलरों ने कब्रिस्तान में हमारे दस्ते को संगठित और हमला किया।" . He shouts muffled squad orders into the distance
"हमने उनसे निपटा है और वर्तमान में हमारे लोगों पर जाँच कर रहे हैं। आदेश?

Pon smiles and pats Spec on the shoulder warmly. "I'm not sure exactly what you said, but that delivery was on point. Well done Professor."
Pon then begins scavenging the soldier's ammo and maybe other things. As he is scavenging he begins rambling to no one in particular, "It's funny. So many people give me a hard time because I lie and such. I mean, in an ideal universe I wouldn't have to. I wouldn't have had the garbage life that led me to be here now. But here I am." He rolls over an Azlanti body unceremoniously as he continues, "Turns out, this isn't an ideal universe. And, personally, I am glad that the people who were me before me did what they did so that the good things about this universe were protected." He is ruffling through the body's pockets and pouches when he pauses for a moment. He cranes his head down next to the head of the body and stays there for a few moments. "Huh," he muses as he rights himself, draws the survival knife from the body, and slits the body's throat. "Anywho, " he continues nonchalantly, "there are rough and nasty jobs. Undesirable roles. Those that have to deal with the literal or figurative feces so that the whole system remains working and good. This is that. You just have to realize that this is your lot in life and how you get to help things run. And yeah, some people will see the literal or figurative feces that gets all over you during the process and shun you for it. And, though it may be frustrating, you can take solace that you have dealt with it so well that the aforementioned person hasn't had to ever experience what you have to regularly. By doing something 'bad' you have protected something good."

Prosper stands there for a few more moments, staring wonderingly at fiendish evil dagger that had come standard-issue from his training with the Legion. He shakes his head and sheathes it.
'I hope I'll never have to rely on it again. That kind of power is seductive! A docu-drama said so, so it must be true.'
"So I don't know what Spec said over the comm, but shouldn't we, y'know, get out of here before someone comes looking? And we should probably try some of the other missions before they get organized. That's rule 44. 'Take advantage of the enemy's contusion while you have the initiative.' Wait, no. Rule 14 'Take advantage of the enemy's confusion'!"
He steps over the Rush and pats the wrikreechee on the back reassuringly "Yeah, you totally, uh, totally protected us. Now lets split- wait no, I mean, let's go!" He chooses his words carefully to avoid agitating him during his post-bloodlust cooldown.

Minos the Techno-Philosopher |

Minos collects himself. Nods at Pon's suggested response. "The will know soon enough, but we can have the respond where we are not. To wit, let us secure the water tower while we have the advantage."
He looks over a prosper. "I can not tell if those are the rules of the oracle Gib, or the teachings of the Sun Warrior. You source seems, inconsistent. "

GM Hmm |

The looting of the bodies produces more armor, Azlanti comm units, hunting rifles and survival knives!
I heard no mention of what was done with the bodies. Are you leaving them or dragging them somewhere?
Meanwhile, Pink's comm unit crackles back. "मडबॉलर्स? ... मुझे वह पसंद है।" The voice that comes on is older, and more authoritative.
Also can I have some bluff checks?

Pon looks over to Spec, "Yes sir, on it sir." He then begins dragging one of the bodies north toward the woods.

Prosperity "Prosper" Starr |

To add authenticity to Spec's response, Prosper groans in the background. He adds "मड-बॉलर ने मुझे गोली मार दी..." after briefly transforming to match the first azlanti cadet in the ambush, using the fellow's diaphragm to better match the right accent.
Bluff (aid): 1d20 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 5 + (3) = 11
Even mangling the pronunciation, it seems a little helpful.
Hey! Spec's earlier Azlanti phrases are coming in handy!

![]() |

Spec's Bluff is not great, since for some idiotic reason I don't seem to have put a point in a core character concept skill.. :( Maybe he's forgotten how until next level?
Spec's tenuously budding confidence abruptly shatters as the challenge comes over the line. He fumbles the comm unit and tries to press it into Pon's hands.
"Aaah, I can't do this Pon, I can't lie to him! I haven't... I mean it's been so long ... But I..." He gulps audibly and only just barely manages to stay slightly this side of full on hyperventilation.
Assuming that the voice needs to be the same, and Pon says as much (if not, he can feel free to take the lead)
One deep breath, and a clipped "रोजर। तुरंत तैनात करना" is communicated in the hopes that a short acknowledgement will be harder to become suspicious of.

"Roger. Deploying immediately."

GM Hmm |

There is a long pause on the other end of the comm unit. "समझा। लगे रहो।" The voice is clipped and brusque.

Dalinar wipes down his blade, even though he didn't get it very dirty in this fight. "I agree with Mister Starr, we need to keep rolling before we are discovered. What are we going to do with these bodies? I can think of two options, either hide them is the bushes or leave them to be found. It depends on whether we prefer stealth or phycological warfare."

Minos the Techno-Philosopher |

"I suggest keeping them out of sight. At least delay any actual discovery. But I suggest we move with the assumption that time is now a valuable commodity."
