"Sorry that there isn't something more interesting going on," Auric apologizes.
"Not your fault, though I wonder if Pharasma knew this was gonna play out like this? Makes me wonder why I got sent here?" Toska thinks aloud.
"No idea," Auric offers. "The gods are mysterious...that's what people usually say when they have no answers."
”Silly gods.”
"Maybe Pharasma didn't know this would happen," Auric says as they walk back to the house. "We still have free will and all that, I think."
Toska nods. "And crazy evil noodles to contend with."
"At least, that's not a permanent problem...I hope."
”Hopefully not.”
Auric opens the door. "Do you have everything you need for your trip tomorrow?"
”I guess so?” Toska thinks aloud. ”I’m probably forgetting something.”
"I suppose you have some time to think about it and figure out if you're missing something," Auric says.
Toska nods. "Suppose so."
"Welp, anything you want to do?"
"Not that I can think of, how about you?"
"We can stay here and enjoy the books we bought yesterday or we can try some fishing down by the beach," Auric suggests.
"What would you rather do?"
"I always prefer fishing," Auric says. "As long as there's light out."
”Then let’s go gather some fish,”
"We'll have to buy some poles and bait," Auric says. "Maybe Halfpocket will have that."
Toska nods, then begins wandering off to Halfpocket’s shop.
Halfpocket is dusting off shelves as Toska and Auric walk in. "Good morning, gentlemen. What can I get for you today?"
"Two fishing poles and some bait, if you have those."
"I have some poles, but no bait," Halfpocket says, a look of disgust crossing his face briefly. "You might want to check the fishmongers at the docks."
Auric nods. "Sure. We'll take those poles, though."
Halfpocket heads off to get the fishing poles from the backroom.
"We can probably scrounge up some worms," Auric says to Toska.
Toska arches a brow at the gnome having no problem with selling fishing poles... but being repulsed at having bait for said poles.
When Auric mentions worm hunting he nods.
Auric glances up at Toska. "Some people just don't like worms, I suppose."
Toska shrugs, "Point."
Halfpocket returns with two poles and two small boxes. "This'll be one gold."
Toska fishes up the gold from his purse and hands it off to the gnome before taking the poles and boxes.

Auric takes the smaller pole and box from Toska. "Let's go find some worms."
Auric has no luck finding any worms as he and Toska scrounge around the town.

Toska not only manages to find some choice worms, he also unearths a small stone chest. A small iron lock, which is covered in rust, keeps the vessel closed.
Not wanting the food to get cold, and not hearing any response to Laenid's knocking, Jin sighs and walks over to the base of the stairs.
Looking up towards the rooms she hollars out a little loudly, "Hitome and Malyoxa, breakfast is ready. "
She then goes back to the kitchen to finish up preparations in there.
Toska tilts his head back and forth and looks over the box after having unearthed it. "Do you want to look for a locksmith now or after we finish fishing?" he asks Auric.
"You might be able to break it since it's so rusty," Auric suggests. "Anyway, it can wait."
The halfling heads towards the beach and finds a quiet spot at the docks.
Toska nods and stowes the box under his arm as he follows the halfling to the docks, watching him set and cast his line the Duskwalker attempts to do so as well.
Toska catches a fair amount of fish, while the more practiced halfling ends up with more than the two can carry.
"Hmm, guess I got carried away," Auric says. "We'll need a basket or something."
”We probably should have gotten one from Halfpocket when we were there,” Toska thinks aloud.
"I guess I can ask around for one," Auric says. "I wasn't planning on catching so much."
Toska nods. "The fish here lived plentifully and in harmony, unsuspecting that a cruel tyrant would soon emerge to demon away their loved ones. But a fabled youth will yet emerge from the waters and slay you to avenge their parents."

Auric looks at Toska for a moment, before shaking his head and going to ask some of the people at the docks for a basket or two.
Auric returns with two baskets a few minutes later. He begins loading them up with the fish he and Toska caught. "I can't eat all these, as much as I like fish. You think we should donate them to someone?"
”I’m sure someone would appreciate them as much as you,” Toska muses as he helps load up the fish.
