"Yeah, I know, you want to get this over with," Auric says. "Anyway, I'll go with you to talk to Toni but that's all I'm doing. I'm done with the Summoners."
Auric pauses. "I didn't mean to sound rude or anything. It's just that I have no power or...desire to have anything to do with all this."
Toska takes the empty tankard to clean and returns. ”Understandable,” he tells Auric.
Auric finishes his sandwich and brushes his hands on his trousers. He takes his tankard to the kitchen and cleans it out. The halfling walks back into the living room with a sigh. "Alright, let's go see Toni."
Toska nods then heads for the door. Then to Toni.
As the sun starts to slowly creep over the horizon, Jin stretches andc slowly starts to wake up.
Laenid murmurs in her sleep before turning over and pulling the covers over her head.
Feeling Laenid turn over, Jin scoots closer to her and puts an arm over her.
Laenid curls against Jin.
Jin smiles and sighs happily as Laenid curls up against her.
Laenid turns her head slightly. "Is it time to get up?"
A stern looking woman opens the door to the tailor's shop and looks at Toska, Escaline and Auric. "I guess you're here for Toni?"
”Yep-yep,” Toska replies in a friendly manner.
"Come on in," the woman says. "I'll go get her."
Leaving you in the main room, she heads to the back.
Jin yawns, "Mmmm...I guess so."
Toni comes out of her room. "Good morning."
"I guess I could go for a little breakfast," Laenid says. "Maybe Hitome and Malyoxa would like some too."
Jin stretches before turning over to face Laenid, "Hmmm....so, what do you think you'd like for breakfast?"
”Good morning, Miss Toni,” Toska greets the... whatever she chooses to go by now.
"Some eggs and some meat, I figure," Laenid says. "You can make anything else you like to go with it."
Toni turns to Escaline. "You're the one from yesterday, right?"
"Yes, my name is Escaline," she replies. "I have come to offer my aid in stopping your former eidolon and destroying the mana well."
Jin thinks for a moment, "Some waffles and fruit maybe? I feel like a little something sweet to go with the eggs and meat...I just can't decide on what." She says with a pouty look.
"Is Ytias...alright?" Toni asks.
Escaline nods. "We lost a number of people freeing him from his possession."
"We can have both," Laenid replies. "There's no law against it."
"I see," Toni says. "Well, you're help will be appreciated...but I'm not planning on leaving today. I'd like to be with my family for now. I think we'll head out tomorrow, if that's no trouble."
Jin smiles, "I can put the fruit on the waffles with some honey to make it really yummy...but if we don't get out of this bed soon, I'm gonna be starving." She says, sticking out her lower lip.
Laenid pushes the covers off. "Come on then. Can't have you dying of hunger now, can we?"
Escaline nods. "As you wish. I'll be ready tomorrow morning then."
Auric gets off the couch. "I think I'll head back to bed myself."
Jin giggles, "Okay."
”Tis a sleepy day,” Toska muses with agreement.
"I will find you at your home tomorrow," Escaline says as they head out to leave. "I will try to stop by at a more reasonable hour."
Auric nods and heads in the direction of home.
Laenid gets dressed in her warmer clothes and waits for Jin before going downstairs.
Jin bounces around the room, trying to let her bare feet touch the cold floor as little as possible. After getting her warmer clothes and boots on, she goes to Laenid and gives her a kiss, "Okay, I'm ready to go make the food now."
Jin giggles again and nearly bounces down the stairs on her way to the kitchen.
”Okay, see you tomorrow then,” Toska replies as he waves goodbye to the half-elf before following Auric home.
Jin starts by making the batter for, well...since she couldn't find a waffle iron, she supposed that pancakes would have to do for now. She would definitely have to see about getting a waffle iron though if they were going to stay here. After she makes the batter for the pancakes, she whips up some eggs as she starts frying up some breakfast meats. While the meat is cooking, she slices up some fresh fruit to put on the pancakes along with the delicious honey to sweeten them.
Jin puts on a pot of coffee as other things cook, "I hope Hitome and Malyoxa like this stuff too. The smells of everything down here should start making their way upstairs soon. I don't really see malyoxa as a morning type though."
As Toska and Auric head back home, they see a carriage flanked by a few soldiers coming into town.
Laenid sets the table. "Drow usually aren't active during the day."
Auric looks at the approaching carriage. "They don't look like locals."
She seems thoughtful for a moment, "Hmmm...I guess they'll have to have an evening wedding then."
"Malyoxa's trying though so I wouldn't assume anything about her just yet."
Jin smiles, "I think an evening wedding would be romantic. Out on the beach beneath the setting sun. The sky that pretty pinkish bluish color...wouldn't that be pretty?"
”Not in the slightest,” Toska agrees as he watches the carriage.
"Maybe we should let them decide what sort of wedding they want," Laenid remarks.
Auric looks to Toska. "Do you want to see what it's about or mind our own business?"
”I’ll admit I’m curious, especially if there’s a chance we’ll get involved after the fact anyway. What do you say?”
Jin shrugs with an innocent look on her face, "I know, I know. I was just saying it would be pretty." She retorts.
