Ok, more details for the search:
Every house has four rooms where it could be hidden:
Kitchen, Common Room, Foyer, Sleeping Room
You tell where you search and how, and I decide how good your bonus to perception is based on that. And how bad your malus to look unsuspicious. This malus can be countered with other actions. Preferably with rolls.
For Brina for example Perform, or Acrobatics.

That's my concern. The punishment last time wasn't harsh for what we did. Made me nervous waiting for "the axe to fall"! Did they leave the key where it was to catch us breaking the rules again? And when they find that it is missing they'll know right where to go to catch us!!! Or am I just being a Nervous Nellie.... ??
Note: I also considered cutting a hole in the pocket so Dad might think that it fell out somewhere. I decided against that just because I don't like the idea of deliberately damaging things.

Ah, sorry! I'll let Tobar try to talk to it first, see how it goes

I have no problem if you cast the spell. You DID do it before I posted. But I figured Tobar would have no idea that you'd just cast a spell. From his point of view, you just muttered something and waved your arms :-).

Um, there is an issue that I need to raise.
At least twice now I've explicitly tried to put Brina into a position where she is intended to protect other characters. She is meant to be the target, meant to be between the bad guys and the children.
And, at least twice, it seems to me that this intent has been completely ignored as the bad guys just ignore Brina.
Maybe I'm misinterpreting things? Or maybe we need to move from theatre of the mind to actual maps?

I'm okay with either option. Level up would give some better combat options that I didn't take because I was building a smart kid living on a farm that just also happened to be a witch.... Having experienced combat now she would want better options for confronting enemies. (If/when she does gain those options.

Like Jewel, I'm really fine either way. I built Tarjun to hit hard, and That's Exactly What He Does. Levelling up would maybe open up more possibilities (I'm a bit limited when it comes down to magic), but he's been doing pretty good so far.
I feel like levelling up can wait -but I'll be fine with whatever you judge best! :)

Not levelling says the guy with th epowerful cat. ;)
I agree with your point. I'll think of a different levlling system first.
Because as a caster you're basically screwed, as soon as the second combat for a day comes. Also our healing is rather limited.
But for now we go on as is.

            Ok, level up analysis:
A level up gains you BAB, Saves, Skills, HP, Caster Level, Spells Known, Spell Allotment and Class Abilities.
As the goal is to keep us kids and not make us size reduced power mongers, the HP option is out of the window. As a level up you'd get to choose two from that list. If you got more than one Class Ability you'd like to have from level two, you'd have to take that selection twice. Like evasion and rogue talent for a second level rogue.
Before you do that, I'd like to get an opinion from everyone if that would be fair in your eyes and from Tobar, if it solves the too powerful issue for you.

Sounds fair to me! Regarding saves, do we also have to choose the bonus separately?

First, let me make it completely clear that I'll just about always go with the majority. I'm not trying to have a veto or anything :-)
So, I'm in the fairly strange position that a great deal of my characters power comes from the Kitty cat of DOOM. So, you also have to decide how he gets levelled up :-).
Or does levelling him up count as one of my two features? Or is he already powerful enough and so he just stays as he is?
I'd probably go for skills and BAB or skills and cat if that is an option
Edit: I should add that I'm fine if you decide that the cat is already powerful enough and I shouldn't improve him. But, if allowed, the Power Gamer in me will likely take over and I'll probably improve him :-)

As you were the one talking about too powerful, I'd say you get the two selection for you and kitty cat. So like skills for you and saves for kitty, or something like that. ;)
Original thought was kitty would get his own two from the list to choose from his progression table. So your choice if you want to share your two chices with the cat or if she gets her own.

Hmm.... Tough choice, but I'm thinking caster level and a hex.
And after this adventure I'm thinking that Clara and I need to work together to try and learn each other's spells. But we don't have time now.

Actually Clara, since you have Cackle you could take the Protective Luck hex. It's like a reverse of Misfortune but works to protect the target rather than harm the enemy. Only works against attack rolls, but for that it makes the target almost untouchable!
I want a spear before we go back.... Best weapon available for a witch once the enemy is napping!
