Sorry for any confusion - it's not critical to the scenario by any means. Goodness knows Craft (alchemy) has come up much more. We might just not know what fun toys are available in the scenario - not that any of them are game-breakingly amazing.

Hey, sorry this is taken me so long to get back to you for.
But Kyras gets +2 from Dual Minded racial trait, +1 from trait, +1 from Cloak and +1 from a Scarlet/Blue Resonate Power inside a Wayfinder.

This is a heads-up that I'm going to be traveling tomorrow through Monday (26-29 Oct) and will likely not be able to post while I'm away. Please bot me if I'm holding anything up.

Sorry for the delay getting back after the weekend, and thanks for the bot! I had a migraine yesterday and just couldn't do screens.

So I want to roll high for Qillian but low for everyone else?
Moving this out of Gameplay, to Discussion.
You can use Bluff to pass hidden messages along to another character without others understanding your true meaning by using innuendo to cloak your actual message. The DC of this check is 15 for simple messages and 20 for complex messages. If you are successful, the target automatically understands you, assuming you are communicating in a language that it understands. If your check fails by 5 or more, you deliver the wrong message. Other creatures that receive the message can decipher it by succeeding at an opposed Sense Motive check against your Bluff result.
So, if you want to pass a secret message, you need to make a DC 15 check (DC 20 for complex messages). Your intended target (which could be all of us; it doesn't have to be just Quillian on review, "another character" does seem to imply only one target for the secret message) understands the message if you succeed. Anybody else who observed the message but wasn't the intended target needs to make a Sense Motive check; if they meets or exceeds the results of your Bluff check, they can also understand the message.
If your Bluff check fails by 5 or more, then the intended target misunderstands your message.

thanks, that's helpful

Rizzok, you can make Acrobatics check (DC 15) to remove first d6 of damage.
That's a common misunderstanding:
Falling: When you deliberately fall any distance, even as a result of a missed jump, a DC 15 Acrobatics skill check allows you to ignore the first 10 feet fallen, although you still end up prone if you take damage from a fall.
(emphasis mine) So unless you somehow deliberately fall in a pit you didn't know was there, you can't soften the landing, unfortunately.

Alright folks, we're getting close to done - and just in time too, since Gameday finishes on Nov. 19.
To that end, it's time to roll for boons! Roll a d20 - if you get a 19 or 20, roll a d4 to determine which boon you get. Example below:
Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Which boon: 1d4 ⇒ 1 This isn't needed if the previous roll is < 19, but it's here for thoroughness in the example. Feel free to leave it out unless needed.
I'll be reporting the scenario today or tomorrow, but we're fine to continue playing to the end of the scenario. Thanks for joining me on my PbP GM debut!

boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Thanks. I rolled that like 3 times, i guess the post kept getting eaten.

We're approaching Thanksgiving here in America, so this is an early heads-up that I won't be available starting Wed afternoon through Sunday evening. I won't have access to either my home or work computers, so I don't expect to be able to post at all during my absence. Please bot me as needed! (Feelo is still just 1st level; I haven't written a Bot Me spoiler yet, so please use basic tactics.)

GM Hawthwile |

Alright, working on Chronicle Sheets now. Feelo, can you let me know if you're earning gold or doing something else with your Day Job?

![]() |

Feelo doesn't have any of the right trained skills to attempt a day job check.
Did we either defeat a divine spellcaster who worships an evil deity, or rescue or collaborate with a good NPC divine spellcaster who worships a good deity?

![]() |

Since I hadn't used it during the adventure, I'd like to use my folio reroll on the day job check.
Craft:Alchemy: 1d20 + 12 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 12 + 3 = 21 Well, a little better thanks to my GM stars.

GM Hawthwile |

Woo! Nicely done everyone!
Chronicle sheets can be found here - please give yours a look and let me know if anything needs correcting.
And since this is my first PbP scenario as a GM, I would welcome any feedback you might have to offer - what was good, what was bad, what was fun, what was frustrating, etc - either here or via PM.
Thanks again everyone! May we play together again someday!

Thanks a bunch, GM Hawthwile. I thought it ran rather smoothly and your adjudication of rules very fair.
That's a solid chronicle sheet. WOW

![]() |

Thanks for the run, Hawthwhile! The Chronicle looks good. One thing that I noted during this game--a simple thing, admittedly, but it worked well--was your inclusion of What do you do? at the end of every post. It really kind of puts the emphasis on the fact that you're not just expositing, that the Pathfinders need to respond. I think it's a good tool for PbP games that can sometimes get off track.
Thanks again!

Thanks, GM! Excellent work running this scenario :)

![]() |

Thank you for a very exciting scenario. I had plenty of fun, apologies for the slow responses at times. This was an interesting taste of the new season.

GM Hawthwile |

Thank you all for the kind words and feedback. I will be closing this thread at the end of the week - if you have not gotten your chronicle sheet by then, send me a PM and we'll get it figured out.
