Detect magic on the area, especially on the chest.

Mayhap you could inspect the chest for deadly traps Quinray. I would do it myself, but given my streak of luck lately I'm sure I would release an evil genie or some such that would lop off my fingers.

Milo should focus his keen-eye on the words actually written rather than imagined!

Ibram's massive swing is unable to connect with the elusive snake.

Kentaur's blow strikes true but does little damage, much less than expected.

overcome SR: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Tirnels's magic missiles fail him for the first time encountering some sort of magical resistance.

Milo leaps forward to Quinray's defense but falls flat on his face in front of one of the snake's provoking an attack of opportunity. Luckily for him the snake strikes THE chest (NOT HIS CHEST) instead, stunning itself for the rest of the round.
bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Quinray lands a solid blow to the closest snake, but it does less damage than he would have expected.

dam: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7

Quinray owes 2 Fort saves, from this round and previous round.

In order if possible:

Use my bonded item to cast web if I can get both snakes even if it catches up other party members excluding Tirnel.
Exit the tent.

Everyone but Tirnel is in melee with the snakes and the pit is 10'x10'. You can exclude one party member in addition to Tirnel from the area of the pit, the other 3 will have to make a save to avoid falling in.
