Seeing combat is at an end, Tirnel dispels the pit.
Well done Kentaur. I had no idea snakes would be so difficult to overcome!
Assuming the chest is now safe-detect magic and search the contents.

Quinray looks over the crystal, not ne'er standing its properties very well.
Ibram, does this work all the time? How much will it heal me?
Quiray takes the 10 +1 flaming arrows (+1d6 fire damage)

Tirnel asks Kentaur to cast a few light spells as darkness falls on Ibram and Milo's gear. We can make the hilltop and that will give us a good defensible place to rest. As well we will get a good view for tomorrow's journey.
He never thinks to tell them of the strange boar-It must have been a trick of the light and distance. No hog is that huge.
Marching order (unless someone objects):
Kentaur/Quinray
Milo/Ibram

Cast create pit and hope for the best.
If both the beast and Kentaur fall in I will cast levitate (using my bonded item) and get Kentaur out of the pit post haste.

Quinray springs to his feet and looses an arrow in one smooth motion, his arrow pierces the great beast's right eye, half the length of the arrow remains sticking out of its eye. Instead of dropping the beast as expected, the arrow just seems to increase its fury! His second arrow glances off the beast's head.
Milo's fires almost simultaneously with Quinray with his first arrow glancing off the boar's thick hide but his second arrow finds its mark and buries itself in the creature's side.
Seeing the boar gouge open a huge hole in Kentaur's side, Ibram charges forward and interposes his body between the boar and Kentaur. He leans close to the animal and chops into its neck with his falchion, opening up a good sized cut that streams thick dark fluid.
Kentaur's healing manages to close the gaping hole in his side.
Tirnel opens a pit beneath the boar, but it is so large that only its hind legs fall in.

Seeing the massive boar shrug off the deep pit (10x10x20!)-Well that did not go quite to plan...I guess we do it the other way. How is it with all these Erastil worshipers we are always being attacked by animals?

Quinray buries another arrow in the beast, while Tirnel pummels it with force missiles and Milo hacks into its side. Kentaur's and Ibram's wounds seem to be slowing down their attacks as they fail to penetrate the thing's defenses. The beast is bleeding from a half dozen wounds but shows no sign of stopping its rampage continuing to gore Ibram.
