Milo always fancied a walk in the country as the best use of his time. Growing up on a farm was hard work and finding moments to be alone and do what one wanted to do, instead of HAD to do, were rare and treasured.
It was returning from such a walk that young Milo discovered his homestead burned and pillaged, with his family slain. Bandits from the Stolen Lands had struck again and this time Milo would be the one caught up in the story. Finding his way to the nearest village he was taken in for a time by the local priest of Estaril who encouraged Milo’s bent towards nature and the outdoors. Soon, Milo was apprenticed to one of the Ranger bands that patrolled the borders of the Stolen Lands and attempted to keep the southern domain of Brevoy safe from incursion.
For the last ten years Milo has learned at the feet of his mentor Yegalash Longstride. Milo has argued time and again that he should join Yegalash on the longer scouting missions into the Stolen Lands, but his words have fallen on deaf ears.
Now Yegalash has not returned from his last trip into the bandit wilds. No other resources from the village can be spared to find out what happened to Yegalash and Milo knows he is no match for the wilderness on his own. Frustrated and afraid Milo has prepared to strike out in search of his mentor anyways when a courier from Restov arrives in the village chartering the exploration of the very area where his mentor has gone missing. Surely this is the will of Erastil! The hunt has begun…
