Seeing the feeble attempt of the human zombie, Torean barks out a laugh. "Ha, you'll break against me like a weak hammer on a forge of steel!" He turns back to the bugbear. He raises his axe high and shouts, "Torag, cleave this undead flesh like the decaying meat it is!" The axe comes down, but suddenly changes course, dipping under the bugbear's guard.

Activate Undead bane on the axe. So does Rolando's song instantly make the axe (which is now like a +2 Axe) frost too?

The Megaraptor takes all the hits but answers every blow with claws and bites, wounding severely Gunnar.

The spirits rise up menacingly around Rolando as he sings and he sends them back to the depths again with a grimace.

When called upon too often, the spirits become more bold, believing they have a rightful place in the mortal realm. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold sway over them, Rolando says gravely, drawing another chakram and hurling it at the monstrosity.

Most witches are notoriously poor against mindless creatures. It's their single real flaw. Basically, you end up just using misfortune like you have been. White-Haired witch and gravewalker are the exceptions, but those play very differently.

Ok, since we're taking a little hiatus I had time to look at the number of CLW charges everyone used ;-) Gunnar has used a whopping 12, but he says he's about to retire so I removed him from the equation. Torean already spent 4 earlier this scenario, and Eladrian 1. Does anyone have a wand I could borrow? I have forgotten to buy that, and it would be nice if I could have a backup in case the BBEG is undead (so I can melee the wand charges). If not, that's fine and I'll continue to misfortune.

The witch coughs roughly and says, "I have had enough waiting around and doing the sitty-sitty for now. Let us find this beast!" She pauses for a moment and says, "I do have one trick against these undead. If we need to funnel them out of an area, I can cause webs to erupt from the ground. Very useful, but also very sticky. Stay clear unless you're trained to escape such sticky situations.

She strides over to the west doors and tries them.

As you search the theater, you find stairs in a room beneath the stage. Climbing them down brings you surprisingly in a cave-like chamber were boxes and crates lie on the floor in no real order. After a few moments in the room, you can tell that the slick walls and floor glistening with water were recently carved from the thick bedrock beneath Oppara. The room is well lit by standing lamps. There is a tunnel on the eastern wall.

Eladrian, my buffs are 10 minutes/level, but I think that Torean's are 1 min/level. If it's more than a door or two, we should probably just do a move action perception check rather than spending two minutes examining the door.
