So, to confirm, the plan is to write a return note that Wolfgang has friends in the RHC (the five of you) and that you're aware of Officer Porter's untrustworthiness. Then, you'll send the messenger boy on his way, return to headquarters, and stock up on ghost-hunting equipment in case things get weird on Cauldron Hill.
If this is correct, go ahead and requisition your gear, and we'll advance to the next day.

I couldn't find the cost of all of it; firewall at work denies pretty much any gaming site except, for some reason, paizo itself.
I think that should be well within 1500 GP though, based on me getting some of the same stuff as others. Just to make sure I've got this right, the weapon blanches are the same as the oils, right? Can be used on either a weapon or 50 pieces of ammo?

Ghost salt works on 10 pieces of ammunition or a weapon (in which cast it only lasts for one attack). Oils are more convenient but less effective.
60 bullets are 6gp due to your Gunsmithing, 200gp for the ghost salt, 300gp for the lesser restoration potion, 75gp for the holy water (I had marked it half price above, my bad), 300gp for the spiritbane spike, 80gp for the climber's kit and 2gp for the sunrod, for a total of 963gp

Minor question: what are we using for fire (like lighting cigarettes)? Are there cheap matches, like tindertwigs? Or spark-casting lighters?

It seems pretty obvious that we should probably locate ourselves on of the two summits and set up decoys on the other.
GM, do the stones block line of sight? If they do then the one on the left makes more sense for us, since it'll be much easier to create a hidden little enclave. Otherwise the one on the right gives us more free room to work with.

If we went with the one on the left and the stones do block line of sight, we'd have to put the line outside the stones. Though I do like the idea of staying hidden in them. Decoys? Maybe, but I doubt they'd fool spirits.

Yeah, I think the only way we'd get decoys to (possibly) work would be to make more than one goat's blood circle, and I'm not convinced we have enough blood for that.

Yeah...I suppose nothin' says we have to use equal amounts of blood. A few splashes of it probably would work as a temporary decoy. As far as staging grounds go, left one sounds good to me.
Sorry about the delay. I'll have significantly greater availability for the next 10 days or so, though, so we should be able to progress fairly rapidly for a bit.
The stones break line of sight. They're only about 5ft tall, though, so standing creatures (except Azaghal, probably) will be able to see over them if they're close enough.

My ideas on preparations:
- Draw a circle of blood around the left hill, set a tent inside the circle and a fire inside the tent, possibly in a pit in order to shield as much light as possible;
- Use the last bits of blood to make a tiny circle on the other hill and set a small fire on it;
- I'll keep holy water and magic weapon oil on hand, you ready anything you may need, including treating ammunition with ghost salt;
- I say we stand guard in the tent, facing it towards Nevard so that we can keep an eye on him;
- Corynne could be on heavy divination duty, divining for undead and incorporeals;
- And of course, we're all putting on the amulets.
Any other ideas?

I would suggest instead of setting up a tent we use the tent canvas to form a partition from the rest of the hill, and to raise the stones so we can stand up. Our Skyseer is going to need to see the Sky, after all, and it won't be as easy from inside a tent.

The cold and stealth saves assume a fire (based on Alice's comments). If you'd prefer to go without, the cold DC increases but the stealth DC decreases.

Would my actions in my last post have had any impact on the DC of the saves? I haven't rolled them yet for that reason. If anyone else wants to share the blanket with Az, I'm sure a burly dwarf is a veritable human(ish) oven!
