"It's more of a dance, really. Anybody can swing a sword." Nissa tries to smile in what she imagines to be a mysterious manner, but mostly she just looks confused.
*Proceeds to throw self about the place in an enthusiastic, uninhibited flurry of arms, legs and body shaking. Kind of an Elven equivalent of 'Snoopy'.*
This is Wolfman. I believe everything is in order.
Cawin is my zany, off the wall dream character. I don't have any idea if he will work as a character, but I'd love to find out.
If his alignment is an issue, I'm debating whether he should be NE or TN. Suffice it to say, he likely doesn't have so strong a personality that he will be antagonizing anyone by his attitudes.
Nissa, I thought there was something to that effect, but I was tired after a 12 hour shift at work, so I was glossing over Kensai and missed it. Cool deal, moved you over to the complete category.
I SHOULD have the next wave stuff up tomorrow evening after I get home from work (Yes, I work weekends), at which point there will be something more for people to do that have complete their characters. I hope it will be fun, it was in the game I got into.
After a little bit of checking - I think you're implying a pre-selection RP tavern? If so, and if selection is dependent on involvement in same, I'll respectfully withdraw my application now.
Just really isn't a hurdle I'm willing to vault, though I wish you the best otherwise.
That is what I'm suggesting, however, selection is not dependent, or else I would have to cut off recruiting a week before I made any announcements. If I made it dependent, then people who apped at the last minute would have no chance, it is more a chance for people to get a chance to see how I post and to flesh out their characters personalities AND keep the recruiting threat from being crowded with such things. I think it is a good way to keep things flowing. Though that isn't all I have planned *cackles*
Is it ok for us to use class kits (like a Druid kit) to make purchasing of some items? Also, as an aside, I think that the idea of mistletoe and holly for a pirate Druid is so strange.
Oh yes, because after all the death and destruction and chomping of enemies, I must chew on mistletoe and holly so that I have minty fresh breath for my next victim...errr, I mean "friend I've not met yet"?
As far as HP, I'm assuming max first level. From there...no clue.
GM Hills - appreciate the clarification, but I'm still going to withdraw as it wouldn't be fair to others that did engage if I asked for special treatment.
Jus' wonderin' if'n I can has somat like Lamellar Armor but made out'a say shells and stuffs? Aiming for the equivalent of 'Leather' or tha' light version.
Turtle shells might make good armor especialy if you separated them into smaller pieces. Also shark hide or cetacean hide might be turned into a leather like substitute although I'm not sure if it would work any better or worse than normal lamellar. Also you could simply decorate or have made fasteners and studs that are shells or metal shaped like shells. A decent jeweler could probably do it maybe even a tailor.
David is pretty much spot on, though it would really have to be a tortoise shell and would still have to be treated similiarly to leather to get it to work properly since a dried bit of turtle shell becomes very brittle (grew up with lots of snapping turtle stew).
I'm thinkin that the Shark hide might even make it painful for you to be grappled but you'd probably have to be careful to not scrape your own skin off while wearing the bloody thing. Though that would depend on the species of shark.
Also if you really want to keep turtle shell armor you might be able to get away with soaking it everynight that might keep the shells mosit enough to avoid becoming brittle but it would be a real hassle.
I din't want to change anything 'mechanically' (As in simply use the stats of leather Lamellar as written) just the image of wearing all lacy/stringy shells and cords and stuffs.
Yeah, I'm totally ripping of a certain comic book character...
*facepalm* Guess I asked for that one for not being specific... Which "comic book" character are you trying to make? Please don't say Aquawoman, Aquaman's wife...
I am not thrilled with the entire built in fly speed on a PC. I think having potentially swimmers, land lubbers, and a flyer would be a great mess to handle, not to mention that it will trivialize a good bit of some of the encounters.
But...if'n they molts...We can has feather pillows! XD
For Cawin:
While I do wish to see you succeed in joining the game, just a thought. The DM a allowed me to make this 'Sea Elf'. Perhaps ask the Dm about such rules if you're seeking something'Exotic'?
Discussion is up. Feel free to enjoy and wow me. To Cawin, I won't say any character is off the table, but you would have to blow me away to make it with that race.
I'm expecting each entrance post to try and one up the ones before them, until the 25 entrance has to write something that would put Robert Jordan to shame if he were still with us.
I'm sure it is, but I've seen quite a few "RP before decision" posts and they all turn into who can write the biggest and most descriptive block of text.
The good thing is no one knows if Hills wants that in his PC's. Not every GM wants to read 2000 words to know you swung your sword at the enemy. I'm sure you aren't out of it yet.
Here is Menus If you have any questions let me know. I am still looking to improve the background but wanted to put something up before to long. I was thinking of taking the Nemesis Story feat later and tie it to the background if I get the chance to play.
