Background
Menus was born in the city and grew up with his mother unfortunately his ancestry made many in the city to take one look at Menus and assume he was a trouble maker which pushed him to act out. Being large and strong for his age he was soon running with a youth gang that was known for causing trouble. Menus got into several scraps but was able to get out of them without more then a lecture until the group he was with, broke into a high end merchant's shop. Worried for her child Menus's mother begged Menus's uncle a full blooded orc that was working on a commission for the city to hunt monsters in the area to intervene on his behalf. The uncle agreed but demanded that Menus apprentice with him as payment. With the merchant payed off Menus was soon working for his uncles group who became a kind of surrogate family for him once they finished there work and left the city.
Menus worked hard to learn the trade and they offered him no slack. The training was difficult even dangerous but his standing was based on merit not his ancestry so he took well to the change. Due to his youth and inexperience the first several years was focused on supporting senior members as they needed it making him put ego aside and work as a member of a team. As Menus started to be recognized as someone that could be trusted by the team and started to learn what he was doing it became apparent that Menus had a uncanny intellect that had been overlooked in his previous life. Menus's uncle wasn't a fool and decided to encourage his nephew and asked the arcane caster of the group who was a Witch to teach Menus what she could. Between the magic he learned and the beatings he received by his uncle in the name of martial training Menus learned to use them together to form a fighting style emulating stories he had heard as a child of great heroes who would cut down there enemies with sword while raining hell fire on them.
Menus's uncle encouraged him to learn of orc culture and even initiated him as his apprentice and while he did not follow his uncles path he did learn some of the shamanistic traditions and even earned his scares as a warrior earning his adulthood. When menus was recognized as an adult by his uncle he also freed him of any dept left from his mistakes as a child. With this new found freedom Menus decided to explore some of the rumors and stories of ancient fallen civilizations that practiced long forgotten magic. His uncle and the monster hunting group bid Menus a good journey as he set off for the coast and eventually to the town of Sandpoint Where he hoped to find some clues to the nearby ruins.
Appearance
Menus has a certain rugged presences with coal black hair that includes thick side burns and chops that frames his face along with the extended canines typical of most half orc’s as well as the tribal scares that stand out under his right eye coupled with a lithe muscular build that can only be described as cat like with the natural grace of movement to match. This animalistic combination might be handsome on someone else but Menus seems to carry a kind of hunger in his posture and movements like a stray cat on the prowl that provides a more sinister first impression. Menus typically sports simple peasant garb but for a pair of well made if battered boots and a straw hat perched low on his brow to keep the suns glare from his eyes.
Personality
Menus is generally quiet but when he does speak he expects to be heard. He tries to think through problems first however he isn't adverse to bringing steel to bear if it is warranted.
