Malak Wavecrasher

I've really liked the thread. A lot of different personalities and players. Makes a great side story and character bonding for the real campaign. Good luck to all, it's been fun reading all your backgrounds and seeing how we all interact. Fortunately, Malak didn't didn't have to kill anybody for cheating him out of money. Haha!

Without a doubt I think some of these characters are the most intriguing and genuine. A ship doctor looking for excitement, a barbarian cannibal, a sea elf, a monkey that strangely resembles Luffy from one piece in background and personality, and so many druids. Makes me feel like Malak is just a raging pirate, wanton revenge, with nothing but the sea in his blood. Oh wait, he is.

Heh. Strangely enough, Malak, I only became aware of the connection to Monkey D. Luffy after I created the character. Granted, I made some modifications to the character to strengthen those connections, because it amused me, but Ajani has always been a Vanaran druid who was rescued and inspired by a benevolent pirate.

Actually, taking on extras would be difficult. I'm running this for my tabletop group of eight, and it's really stretching the capacity of the adventure to handle. I've had to modify a number of the encounters to adapt.
Personally, I fear for my acceptance. Among such luminaries as are assembled here, Isabella just doesn't stand out. I could hardly blame the GM if he chose more flamboyant characters than her.
In any case, good luck to all.
This is my 5th attempt. I have enjoyed running it so much that I feel it would be a blast to play.

*HUGZ Isabella*
Hey! Dun't be down! (^_^)
As for number of people? Running a face to face game though has a very different pace than to that of a PbP. Some times, having more in a PbP is a good thing. Sadly, I've been other characters in other games where real life has reared its head and people have been forced to drop out. :(

Alright, update time! One of the two spots that I was holding decided that he would drop so that I could let more people in, giving one extra spot (and helping me make my decision).
Maera- Undine Watersinger Bard- Easy decision, this one was in before I ever made a post. Real life player of my tabletop game.
Malak Wavecrasher- Half-Orc Sea Reaver Barbarian- I really this character and I liked him in another recruiting thread, so he had a head start once I saw him app.
Aramis Steele- Human Musket Master Gunslinger- Once I read this character, I knew she was going to be on my boat.
Diabolito Stormbeard- Dwarf Shark Shaman Druid- I liked Diabolito in another thread too, but he was a barbarian at the time. When he switched to a hungry shark, I was sold.
Nissa Alami- Human Bladebound Kensai Magus- Much like Aramis, I read the fluff and nothing else mattered. This character won me over immediately.
Ossok the Scarred- Half-Orc Scarred Witch Doctor- I like this character a great deal and I think it will be fun to have them on board.
"Doc" Williams- Human Everysort of Alchemist- I love the concept and for the longest time I didn't think I would have this character on board. I still think I'm crazy, but I'm going with it anyway.
Alternates:
Sasha Killigrew- Half-Elf Cleric of Besmara & Zaketta Flynn- Human Cleric of Besmara- Zaketta and Sasha presented a huge challenge for me because I wanted to have one of them in the party and I couldn't decide. I liked the both for VERY different reasons and I have waffled and each of you were in one of the drafts, but I couldn't decide which one to pick and then "Doc" came in and I started looking at a different way to build the group. I'm still not sure I'm happy without having a cleric, but I'm going to go with.
David Longstar- Gnome Rogue & Isabella D'Rosini- Half-Elf Pirate Rogue- Much like the clerics above, I had a hard time with the decision not to include the both of you. Also, like them, at some point each of you was in the draft of the group, but I could not bring myself to pick one over the other. I love the exuberance of David and the passion of Isabella and I wish they could both come on board, but I couldn't decide and rogue didn't feel like a required class.
To everyone else, I'm glad I got to read your submissions and really enjoyed the interactions in the tavern, but at this point, recruiting is closed, and the tavern will be shortly.

Good luck to those of you who got in, have fun!
Well it seems like one of the games I was going to run poofed so I might be able to run this AP if I can't get in at all. I'm missing the 5th one though so I will have to wing that one.
If you guys are interested in a slightly modified version of the AP I might be able to run it. Anybody interested? Should I make a thread?

The seas area tumultuous place with a great deal of problems. As such, this game has been going for over a year and we are in need of refilling our crew.
I am looking for 2-3 new players to fill the rest of the crew for this Skulls & Shackles group.
The group just finished book 1 and are level 4. I will want backstory, but character creation rules haven't changed from the first post in this (though newer books are going to be allowed, as well!)
That being said, let the games begin and lets put new wind in the sails!
(YES to the ACG, btw)
| Andrea1 |
Okay let us try this.
Andrea is a neutral(yep) priestess of Urgathoa who has been sent on a mission to establish a toe/foothold in the Shackles for her faith. For this purpose, she is not to spread undead or disease, preach to the masses or engage in atrocity but hopefully act as a gateway for others to arrive and settle.
Andrea poses as a priestess of Pharesma who handles aiding the group with spells and harming foes with negative channeling.
Will get a write-up done.

The group has not earned much in the way of funds, so we'll say 1150g and I'll outfit accordingly. Send me a small wishlist and I'll give what I feel is appropriate!
Yes, I have Advanced Class Origins sitting next to me, so that is fine. Be forewarned that the current party make-up is as such: Shark Totem Druid, Gunslinger, Watersinger Bard. Access to a cleric is also available, as needed, and there MIGHT be a monk.
| Allie "Cat" Calico |
