Traits
Buccaneer's Blood - One of your ancestors was an infamous pirate captain, whose very name struck fear in the hearts of those who sailed the seas in search of an honest living. Piracy is in your blood, and you've always longed to follow in your forebear's footsteps and plunder the shipping lanes.
You went to a notorious pirate hangout tavern, eager to start your career as a buccaneer. While you were there, however, a dashing and flirtatious corsair caught your eye, and after a whirlwind night of booze and romance, you found yourself beaten senseless and stuffed in a sack, carried off to who knows where.
You gain a +1 trait bonus on Intimidate and Profession (sailor) checks. In addition, you gain a one-time +1 trait bonus to your Disrepute and Infamy scores.
Fencer - You trained with blades for long hours as a youth, either taking lessons in the genteel art of fencing from tutors paid for by your parents or being taken under the wing of a disenfranchised fencer who may have turned to a life of crime.
You gain a +1 trait bonus on attack of opportunity attack rolls made with daggers, swords, and similar bladed weapons.

Background
--------------------
Born and raised in the Shackles in Port Peril to a pirate mother and a father with oracular traditions. Outsiders in a land of outsiders, they were lucky in that Tengu are often taken aboard as 'lucky trinkets' to ward off ill luck. And it was these early years in Port Peril and the odd trip to sea that really ingrained into him that that was a life he could see himself in.
But he also had a good heart. Though obbsessed with the sea and the ships that sail her, he also saw the disparity of the folks in Port Peril: The well-to-do pirates, many of whom were pirates in name only, vs the common folk who often were used to fill a ships roster but would rarely have anything to them but their clothes and name. So Nicpic took to helping those close to him using his 'earnings,' making sure they were fed and clothed. He would, like most of the others on the crews, gamble most (if not all) of it away eventually, but for those short times, he would feel both happy in how flush he was in gold and silver (though nor rich by any means) and glad that he's helped his friends and family.
His mother and father have now 'retired,' having 'hidden their chest' away for long enough time. They are planning on heading to the Tengu 'homeland' of Kwanlai, and had hoped Nicpic would follow, but his home and heart is to be found among the broken chains of islands south of that never-ending hurricane. And who knows, maybe one day he'll be the Pirate King!
--------------------
Appearance & Personality
--------------------
Quirky and eccentric, Nicpic has been training since his youth to be a pirate, just like his mom. And like her, he's taken to having a laid back, geneal attitude. He sees himself more as an adventurer than an actual pirate, giving a portion (though nowhere near his entire hauls) to the 'needy', ie his family and friends.
His feathers are all solid black save for one right atop his head which is solid white which is where he gets his kenning-name. He stands 5', and is lanky, weighing in at a mere 90 lbs.
