Okay, so Altin's pretty much going to play dice and cards the entire trip with whoever will play. He loves to gamble, thinks of himself as lucky, is pretty clever, and has magic fingers. The only question is how much everyone is willing to lose to him ;)

Oh, except no fey allowed. That means you, McGibel! Keep your tricksy magicks away from my coin!

An old Portuguese seaman takes out a braginho (a small Portuguese guitar-like instrument) and begins to play a sea chanty... He is soon accompanied by a younger sailor on a squeezebox... A third sailor produces a drum to keep the beat, and the music helps the time pass...

The music has him, and soon he is singing along with the Seamen, to learn their song for his king. Another entertainment to add to his list.

Don't be so sour Lord McGibel will lose, he too has magic's and he's a fey. So let's say even-stevens.

Finding a spot to put his things, the newly appointed adventurer comes to the top deck to watch the sailors move about and man the ship. The wind felt good, and the rocking of the boat was quite the new sensation. Stretching and looking around, his balance seems to shift and his stomach drops. Runni g to the side of the boat, Volreg begins purging the contents of this morning's breakfast, and the previous night's contents.

Talking between vomit fits he apologizes to passer bys."Sorry about this! First time on a boat, so I didn't know what to expect."

Two Questions MJ66, how many 'bunks' per room? How long should our journey take?

knowledge: geography: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

'Good we are underway, the castle was nice, but it's not real, not for the likes of us.' Standing motionless on the dock until the others have boarded, Wulfgar then turns and marches up the gangplank, as he climbs aboard he stops just long enough to inform the captain. "I am a trained Navigator and a competent sailor. I have no desire to be underfoot, but if I may be of service please let me know." Following the captain to the cabins, he unloads his gear then causally moves about the deck, inspecting the ship. Eventually settling beside his friend Altin.

Altin Karela wrote:

...Atlin just nodded agreeably to himself and made his way to Wulfgar's side.

"How long till we get where we're going?" he asked his friend as the captain showed them their quarters. "I hate being on ships. There's nowhere to go, nothing to do." He searched his pockets, and found them empty. "Do you have any dice?"

'No where to go? Nothing to do?' Shrugging, "Let me think about it for a moment." that means let me see how the geography roll goes.

Blurting out a Laugh Wulfgar looks at Altin. "You are wrong my freind, the point of the ship is we can go ANYWHERE and if you want something to do; you could fish, you could mend ropes you could swab the deck. There are always things to do. Oh and there is the gambling, but no, I have no dice. did you ask our lord Sprite? I'm sure he can come up with a game for you to play."

Volreg
Leaving Altin to his search for a game, Wulgar is moving toward the aft of the boat, he sidesteps just as the Spaniard rushes the rail, and looses his lunch. Slapping Volreg on the back he encourages the young man. "Don't worry, this will only last for a couple of weeks, then start again when we hit real weather."

Feeling he has comforted his new comrade as best as he can, he moves to the quarterdeck and observes the operations of the ship.

Mwikali wrote:

"Thankyou you are a very gracious host. I will set up my things in there. I have much communing to do on this trip." She says as she slips inside and watches the men clean it. once clean she beings to shut the door and slip form her dress.

"I really do appreciate this Commander" She said from a crack in the door letting her dress slip right when the door shuts.

lol I am awful

Cabral grins at the brief, enticing sight of Mwikali’s alluring figure as her dress falls to the cabin floor... How lovely are thy works, Oh Lord!

The captain then hurries off to offer his first mate’s more spacious cabin to Lady Giovanna, and to see how that lovely dame might reward him for it...

As the sun reaches its zenith at noon, a pair of ravenous giant crabs, attracted to the Sereia by the music of the trio of sailors, clambers up the starboard side of the hull, near where Sulayman and Giovanna lean against the siderail, watching the green waves roll by...

Volreg leans over the rail on the port side, seasick...

Wulfgar and Altin stand nearby, the tall Northman to Volreg's right side, the Romani archaeologist just behind the retching farm boy...

Lord Perpireen is hovering above the forecastle, singing along to the sea chanty played by the trio of sailors...

Mwikali is inside the captain's cabin, within the aft castle, meditating on Kiku's mystic instructions...

Captain Cabral and two sailors stand atop the aft castle...

Wulfgar is not surprised, so he can act in the surprise round. I will always roll initiative for all combatants, but I'll let Wulfgar keep his 15 this time... Rolling initiative in next post...

Sulayman and Giovanna can also act in the surprise round, as can the two giant crabs, of course... Remember, only a single standard or move action in the surprise round (plus a free action)...

Sulayman 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Altin 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 (surprised)
Volreg 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 (surprised)
Wulfgar on 15
Lord Perpireen 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 (surprised)
Mwikali 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 (surprised)
