Vanna's rapier punctures the gnoll that struck down Mwikali...

"Mwikali!"
Anger building up, Volreg lashes out at the gnoll that downed the witch, next to Vanna.

earlier
Kicking the dead gnoll out of the way, Wulfgar tosses the lit bed roll into the cave, quickly stepping back, smiling "Now we wait."
Once a smoky fire has been lit in the cave entrance, the sounds of anxious barking and yapping can be heard from within, followed shortly by choking and coughing...While they wait for the inevitable, Wulfgar picks up one of he wooden shields, "This may be handy later." and tosses it over his shoulder by it's strap.
A moment later, two more gnolls emerge from the cave, gagging, choking and drooling!
Now
'Blast that girl is too eager' Keeping his weight on his good leg, Wulfgar holds his place at the end of the line, seeing the two gnolls run out of the smoke, he flinches when he sees the witch impaled on a spear, nodding in approval as the others strike hard and fast. Seeing the first gnoll go down and Volreg moving toward Mwikali Wulfgar shifts his sword as he moves forward slightly and slashes upwards at the coughing gnoll. "Here, let me put you out of your misery."5 ft step, attack: Greatsword

ok were in the same order as posted here. This may be a ticky-tack question. In game order we had Mwikali's attack, then the hyenas. But if we are attacking before the Hyenas would she have been wounded? the one that hit her was killed. I thought we were going in blocks of attacks. The ones who had init before the monsters, then the monsters, then the ones who had init after the monsters. The way this reads we are going in order of posting...

You are correct, Wulfgar... the gnoll that struck down Mwikali would’ve been struck down before it could attack her, so Mwikali is still up with her 6 HP back, and McGibel can take a different second action besides heal check... Sorry about that, all!

Blast! They finally got smart and decided to bull rush their way past. Time to get serious.’ Lifting his great sword, Wulfgar lets out a roar and begins to rage. ”Aaaarrrrggghhhh”, his appearance changes, the most obvious thing is the bright light from a halo that has formed; shining through the smoke. Less obvious, but just as disconcerting, his skin appears like pewter and his eyes turn white the same color as the halo. If one is looking carefully they will see his cast shadow has wings like a seraphim.
Slashing at the gnoll that he attacked earlier. He then steps back. "Step back give them a gauntlet to run!"

Altin Karela
Altin begins to sing a wordless, absurd-sounding Romani melody, drawing on the musical magic of his people. He releases the force, gesturing at one of the gnolls.
Casting hideous laughter on any gnoll that's still standing by my turn, Will DC 14.

To make a long story a bit shorter... You guys obviously have the last two at your mercy...
Seeing little hope of escape or mercy, and faced with a choice of suffocating to death, being slain by enemies, or taking their own lives quickly, the forlorn gnolls fall upon their spears, impaling themselves in gruesome suicide!
Altin Karela
I believe Altin still has his bow, rather than his spear in hand, so I guess he could AoO with his bow as an improvised weapon...?
As the gnoll passes, Altin takes a clumsy swipe at it with his short bow...
AoO: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (6) - 4 = 2
Ha! No need to worry about what die to roll for damage then :)

Loot on the gnolls: The party can loot 7 spears, 7 heavy wooden shields, 7 suits of hide armor, 35 gold shekels, 47 silver shekels, and 66 copper shekels from the bodies of the 7 gnolls...
The smoke from the fire fills the gnolls’ cave... It will take about an hour for it to dissipate enough to breathe safely inside...
Volreg Sundek
Same here, haha. Managed to take a look while getting ready for a delivery.
Waiting about, Volreg looks at the dead gnolls. "Those things were vicious! More so than some of the animals at home. The fire was a good idea."
Giovanna di Domenico
Well done, all! I think those last two gnolls took their own lives because of some honour code they have. I have heard of similar codes among fierce warriors from the Orient. Are we all well? We can celebrate with the bounty we just scored. Vanna sats as they fund the gnolls' hoard

The sandstorm that blew through the region several days ago uncovered an ancient tomb of the Mauretanians, an ancient nomadic Berber-stock people...
This might have been the tomb of a war chieftain, or a priest...
It has been buried for a long time under the sands of Morocco... perhaps for the better...
Michael Johnson 66
In fact, it is the crypt of Mauritanian King Bogud that has been unearthed by the sandstorm, unknown to the adventurers...
