ok were in the same order as posted here. This may be a ticky-tack question. In game order we had Mwikali's attack, then the hyenas. But if we are attacking before the Hyenas would she have been wounded? the one that hit her was killed. I thought we were going in blocks of attacks. The ones who had init before the monsters, then the monsters, then the ones who had init after the monsters. The way this reads we are going in order of posting...

DESCRIPTION

A vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from your hand, causing creatures to become stunned, perhaps also blinded, and possibly knocking them unconscious. Each creature within the cone is affected according to its HD.

2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)

3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.

5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.

Sightless creatures are not affected by color spray.

He then goes to MWIKALI and pulls off her Head Scarf, and uses it to stop the bleeding.

You are correct, Wulfgar... the gnoll that struck down Mwikali would’ve been struck down before it could attack her, so Mwikali is still up with her 6 HP back, and McGibel can take a different second action besides heal check... Sorry about that, all!

To make a long story a bit shorter... You guys obviously have the last two at your mercy...

Seeing little hope of escape or mercy, and faced with a choice of suffocating to death, being slain by enemies, or taking their own lives quickly, the forlorn gnolls fall upon their spears, impaling themselves in gruesome suicide!

I believe Altin still has his bow, rather than his spear in hand, so I guess he could AoO with his bow as an improvised weapon...?

Everyone gains enough XP to advance to 2nd level! Congratulations! You must first rest to recover lost hit points and refresh your minds for preparing new spells, but once you have done that, you immediately gain 2nd level benefits...

Loot on the gnolls: The party can loot 7 spears, 7 heavy wooden shields, 7 suits of hide armor, 35 gold shekels, 47 silver shekels, and 66 copper shekels from the bodies of the 7 gnolls...

The smoke from the fire fills the gnolls’ cave... It will take about an hour for it to dissipate enough to breathe safely inside...

The adventurers explore the gnolls’ lair once the smoke has cleared...

The place is foul, stinking of rotten meat and unwashed beasts...

Same here, haha. Managed to take a look while getting ready for a delivery.

Waiting about, Volreg looks at the dead gnolls. "Those things were vicious! More so than some of the animals at home. The fire was a good idea."

Well done, all! I think those last two gnolls took their own lives because of some honour code they have. I have heard of similar codes among fierce warriors from the Orient. Are we all well? We can celebrate with the bounty we just scored. Vanna sats as they fund the gnolls' hoard

Back at Anfa, the adventurers celebrate their victory over the gnolls at the caravanserai with drinks and feasting.


The goatherds of Anfa soon hear that their gnoll problem has been permanently solved by the daring adventurers feasting at the caravanserai, so they quickly cobble together a respectable reward of 1,000 golden shekels and 4,000 silver shekels, which they present to the adventurers that evening.
