Jamir does a somersault to avoid the kick of the seventh Brawler while moving across the room to jab the fourth Brawler in the side

LoL Torvald, I too have never heard of a new player re-roll. However, look at your original throw of the bomb.Bomb to F14!: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9; see anything wrong with that? You rolled a D10 not a D20! We'll take the 2nd roll and move forward...LOL you guys kill me

The quick toss reflx: 1d20 ⇒ 2is on the brawler in a split second. with a loud concussion a plethora of debris is blown back in Torvald's direction. When the dust settles the seventh Brawler is lying on the floor motionless.

Brawler 7 is down unconscious, Brawler 4 has been wounded. Torvald is on his feet has a wand of cure lt in one hand and a spiked gauntlet in the other, It's Brawler 5's turn

male Snows of Summer

Giving Craggark's body a little kick(no dmg.) as he moves forward, the 5th brawler tries to go for Jawhar's legs and trip him cmb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Jawhar's defense is spectacular against a blade and not bad against other maneuvers, however he is totally caught off guard when the 5th thug comes in low pulling his legs out from under him.

Brawler#5 moves from H10-H9 does the combat maneuver trip (no AoO by Jawhar because he is fighting full defense) against Jawhar's improved CMD of 16, and succeeds in tripping Jawhar. Jawhar is now prone and flanked, it's thug 2's turn

male Snows of Summer

The second Thug's eyes light up as he see's Jawhar fall. His axe comes down quickly att: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 15dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 however, Jawhar keeps his wits about himself and despite being prone his defensive style enabled him to bring his shield up in time to deflect the thug's blow.

Jawhar's full defense and prone condition essentially cancel each other out with regards to melee attacks. Thug 2 stays put; it's Jawhar's turn.

And thus the comment about no AOOs...

Well, that is certainly not good.

So, 3 AOOs from a prone position, plus 3 attacks to come next round or just fight while prone and take 2 or 3 attacks from a prone position?

"Good for you, sir. You finally did something useful. Your mother will be very proud when you make your way home to her basement later"

Attack while prone, targetting Brawler 4.

The second Brawler stands up wobbly over the still body of the first thug. The forth Brawler starts kicking Jawhar while he's down Ya gota big mouth talking to me friends like that! kick: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 1 + 2 = 12dmg: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Jawhar is fortunate however that his armor adsorbs the blows as the Brawler screams and kicks.

Brawler 2 stands up (G10) Brawler 4 stays put (F8); it's Jamir's turn: beginging round 8!

"Rest now, warrior of the North, and know that you have been defeated by none other than Jamir Montajay, of the Cassomir Montajays!"

Jamir regains a point of panache.

The Brawler who was attempting to kick Jawhar, eyes suddenly widen like saucers his hands start to flail wildly at something in his lower back. A second later he coughs some blood out and wipes his mouth. He stares at the red stain on his hand as his knees give out under him and he crumples to the floor. Jamir stands proudly in back of the crumpled form his rapier raised in salute.

Torvald I just went back and double checked. Your last bomb was thrown at the 7th Brawler in F14..I'm ruling

that you drew one of your 3 alchemist fires and threw that instead..since it's 1d6 dmg; we'll keep the 3 you rolled Thug#2, Brawler#2,Craggark, Jawhar, and the body of Thug#1 all take dmg. and if they were stable are now bleeding out again; btw feel very sorry for Brawler#5 he's drooped and will auto fail his reflex save to put out the fire next turn he'll just lay there and burn to death..

Torvald scrambles in his pouches for some alchemist fire. Satisfied he's grasping the correct flask, he hurls it at the 5th Brawler the one who tripped Jawhar. The flask flies true splashing some its sticky searing hot substance on both friend and foe alike. The unfortunate Brawler dances around for a moment fully engulfed in flames, then he drops to the ground, un-moving, still on fire. The second Brawler who just got up is knocked back down by the blast his clothes smoldering he appears to be knocked out again.

The second Thug still has some fight left in him and swings at Jawhar on the ground att: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 He seems scared however, none of his companions are left standing and he looks around frantically.

guys I'm ruling this combat over. The thug was injured enough that Jamir's AoO slowed him down. Jawhar unless u want to wake a bunch of brawlers I'd stop using the channels. Thug 2 surrenders pleading for his life. There's no need to play this out because you'll garner even more info from the red- haired decoy. As far as useful equipment you retrieve : up to 4 throwing axes and two potions of cure Lt. wounds can be gotten off the thugs, the brawlers have nothing of interest. Craggark or Jawhar please keep track of health and resources of the entire party and just tell me what resources you used to get the party to full health on the discussion form ( no need to roll play healing) you will not have time to rest b4 your next encounter as you'll soon discover. Also will need a. Breakdown of who is carrying what ( there was a mention of giving Torvald splash weapons)

male Snows of Summer

After securing all the brawlers that, could potentially wake up and cause trouble again, your party ushers the Red haired decoy out of the Horned Helm to a nearby alley. You then strip him of his coat and begin to interigate him; Don't kill me! I needed the coin! brrr!

Torvald should take the two potions of CLW if he is giving Jawhar the wand. Jamir has one potion of CLW on him already, and if we can use the protection from evil wand again before the start of the next combat, that should get us each a few rounds of protection at least - I have to believe that Runa and Hjort qualify. As the group walks outside, Jamir hands Torvald two flasks of alchemist's fire and two of acid, leaving one flask of acid in his bandolier, along with potions of CLW and shield of faith.

Jamir marches up to the fake Hjort, grabs the frightened man by his shirt, and yanks him down so that he is forced to look the halfling in the eye.

The. bartender for all his bluster before is nothing more than a one armed sniveling coward. It soon becomes apparent he knows nothing of the ambush and that the brawl was instigated by the two thugs. When one of the non- combatant patrons mentions the guards are coming fake Hjort speaks up if you want to know where Hjort is you better not let the guards get involved; otherwise we'll be stuck in a cell all night while they figure out who's to blame and you don't have that kind of time if you want to find and stop Hjort. Hjort and Runa hired me as a distraction. My name is Johan I ain't nobody of account. The Helm is one of Hjort's favorite hangouts. He hired me to distract you from what he's really up to! He told me he'd leave two men to supposedly guard me in case their was trouble in the Helm.... He looks around frantically as if someone was coming to get him now.

DC10 sense motive:
again the look alike seems genuinely afraid and telling the truth

The look alike continues blurting out his story; I didn't know they men were their to attack you or start a Bar brawl I swear! The look alike actually has tears running down his face.
DC10 sense motive:
His story seems genuine..this guy probably didn't know the thugs were ordered to start a Brawl and encourage the patrons to kill you.

(going on the assumption you promised not to kill him; if you don't promise this, he has no reason to talk, as he fears death is imminent, and why give his executioners anything they'd want? Nothing short of promising him you won't kill him or extended torture will get him to talk;)
Decoy's story:
Hjort and Runa hired me to "throw you off the trail", they said. They think I don't know what they're up to but their stupid Thug minions talked in front of me! he says this proudly looking for approval from one of the party members. It seems Hjort is from some tribe on the coast..the red goats ..or something another...I guess he was in line to be the next Jarl according to his goons. his expression displays some doubt about this last fact.
Anyway, guess he thinks some of you Pathfinders came and raided his village and nearly killed the whole lot! He even found one of your compass thingies... he pauses to catch his breathe. Anyway, guess he's been hating Pathfinders something fierce. He met this Runa here in Trollheim and she hates Pathfinders too! Maybe something to do with her devil God Asmodeus. Don't really know much about religion myself. But, I think she just wants to cause trouble. That's why they're over at the Trollheim armory right now! He says that as he points in the general direction of the armory. You see, I heard them guards talking last night when we was waiting for you at the Horned Helm. It seems that Hjort and Runa think by dressing up as guardsmen and attacking the Armory that they can blame it on Pathfinders by planting evidence like those Wayfinger thing a mi-jigs!
Johan pauses to see that the party is understanding what his story means. After one or two confused looks he continues. Hjort hopes that, a raid on the armory by Pathfinders, along with the Pathfinders raiding his village, will trigger a mass purge of the Pathfinder’s Society from the Land of the Linnorm Kings, with every Society agent in the country hunted down and slain! he looks some what exhausted after blurting this out.

Assuming you promised not to kill the decoy and hear his story any of you from the Linnorm Kingdoms(can make an untrained check) or anyone of you with a rank in knowledge local may make a DC:10 check to know the following flaw in the Decoy's story.

story flaw:
In truth, the Lands of the Linnorm Kings lacks a
unified government between the various city-states that comprise it, and it is unlikely that the Pathfinder Society would be banned from the entire region, even if Hjort’s plan is successful in getting them banned from Trollheim. However, this doesn't help you find Skagni and/or give him the chest.

Jamir lets go of the decoy's shirt with a disgusted shove.

"Gods, man. We are not going to kill you. How many chances to stop the fight did you see us give those idiots in the Horned Helm? And they attacked us without provocation."

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Jamir can't get a read on the fake Hjort, and looks to the others to see whether or not they buy his story.

"When did they say that they were going to attack the armoury?"

Johan looks at Craggark frantically, I told you! they are there now! Most likely killing in the guise of you Pathfinders!...The Gods as my witness that's what I heard! He looks pleadingly at the party members settling on Torvald, I'm sorry I never heard of this Skaggi person..was he kin of yours? I hope Hjort didn't get his hands on him! he breaks down at this point sobbing profusely, I swear I don't know nothing else! All I know is if that Hjort and Runa succeed they'll challenge castellan Darkwine's power in the region. That could mean bad things for you Pathfinders...now I've done all I can...can I go? he wipes his nose and stops sniveling for a moment. A look of hope upon his face.

I've got nothing to use to identify the story flaw. Craggark, can you make the knowledge check untrained as a Linnormer? Anyone else have a point in knowledge (local)?

I'm not sure what you're referring to by "story flaw", Jamir, but the Nat 20 should do it.

"Enough questions. He doesn't know any more. Let's go. We have a few S!*+ birds to deal with."

Craggark makes to head in the direction of the armoury.

Johan looks astonished at Torvald's lack of understanding, I know you're not from around here but, I'm sure you must have heard of the Ulfen's reputation as warriors? If the leader of the Blackravens and Trollheim, can't protect his own armory that, would almost certainly perceived as weakness and invite challenge from others. If for no other reason than embarrassment, it would force his hand against the Pathfinders.. Johan looks down the alley and his eyes widen, The guards are heading this way! If you don't go now.... he trails off his eyes dropped dejected. Resigned at being caught by the guards.

In the distance 3 guardsmen are asking questions of people outside the Helm one of the civilians points towards the alley where the party is and the guards look up and start a slow trot toward the alley.
The party realizes they have mere seconds to depart or face interrogation of the guards.
