moving on from whether he disrupted the spell or not..he dmg. the mage 7hp and runa and hjort 4hp each..pretty good round. bottom line if ; u want to disrupt a spell with dmg. u gotta either ready an action (and then hit) or do something with continues dmg. (like alchemist fire or the spell acid arrow)

Craggark tosses his alchemist's fire at the spell casting figure.

"Hjort, the Blood Ram tribe that you claim to represent is looking on your legacy with shame."

in Skald:
"Cavorting with devil worshippers is not how the people of the west coast raised you. Claim weregild on those that would mislead you and leave this fracas. We will end the Asmodean."

Thrown Attack at D3: 1d20 + 3 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 2 - 2 = 201d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 I'm assuming that the spell caster is human.

"Torvald, I had no idea that this was so much fun! Remind me to stock up on these in the future."

Craggark then cracks his neck and performs a kata move.

Martial Flexibility to change combat feats to Deflect Arrows. 5 foot step to close the gap.

male Snows of Summer

The alchemist fire strikes true and the wizard is immediately engulfed in flames. His hands go to his face trying to put the fire out in his beard and hair. the screams are awful. Runa and Hjort also both scowl as some of the fire licks up on them.

male Snows of Summer

Runa steps up behind Hjort and summons the dark energy of her God.
Runa channels negative energy neg chan: 1d6 ⇒ 4
DC:15 will for half dmg.

None of her compainions seem to feel the awfulness of their life essence drained but it hit's your entire party!
you all must save to only take 2 dmg. before u ask she has selective channel and a chr. of 16

male Snows of Summer

Hjort spews obscenities as he moves in front of Jamir directing his off hand dagger at Jamir and his hand axe at Craggark. axe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15dmg: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21dmg: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Hjort is not evil and posses the feat "double slice" that's why his dagger does +4dmg.
Craggark steps aside the mighty cut but Jamir is not so lucky as Hjort's blade bites deep.

male Snows of Summer

The 1/2 elven Monk moves almost death like quiet foward and attempts to slip past Craggark's guard without risking being hit. DC:21(Craggark's cmd:16+5{difficult terrain}=21acrobatics's check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 However the clever Craggark picks up the motion of the lithe 1/2 elf and doesn't waste the opportunity ...
need an AoO from Craggark on to the 1/2 elf Monk

elf:
assuming the elf isn't "one shot", he moves to square B6 and attacks with an unarmed strike. punch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7dmg.: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Alas luck is not with the Half elf as he slips just before throwing his jab. Craggark easily turns his head from the blow.

Question for GM:

PFSRD Sense Motive Option wrote:

Analyze Prowess: You can read a foe’s body language, movements, words, and other cues to guess its prowess and likely abilities. The DC is 10 + target’s base attack bonus + target’s Charisma modifier or 10 + target’s Bluff modifier, whichever is higher. If you succeed, you learn the target’s base attack bonus. For every 2 points by which you exceed the DC, you learn of one combat feat the target possesses. Analyzing prowess is a move action. If you fail this Sense Motive check, you can make a guess at your foe’s abilities, but are aware that it is unreliable. The GM secretly takes the higher of the foe’s base attack bonus or ranks in Bluff, subtracts 4, and adds 1d8. You learn only the result, but know that it may be as much as 4 points different from the true value and could represent either combat training or the ability to fake it well.

So all of my live games (as player & DM) use this rule but the PFSRD says "use at your discretion"--is this allowed in PFS? I'd like to target it at Runa to get a feel for how dangerous she is, UNLESS it would take longer than a Swift Action b/c otherwise I can't bomb. Obviously if it's not allowed then it's not allowed. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Will vs 15: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 +2 if dwarven resistance applies

GM, I made an error. I erroneously applied my 'Dedicated Adversary' feat to the attack on the sneaky one after I had already changed it to "Deflect Arrows". The AC that I hit was 20, not 22, and I did 8hp of damage, not 10hp. Sorry about that.

"Jawhar! Close ranks! Right behind me and next to Torvald!" the half-orc suggests.

Jamir shrugs off the worst of Runa's profane energy, but it affects him enough that he is unable to dodge out of the way of the barbarian's dagger, which slices through his armor and leaves a bloody gash across his chest.

It's too solid a hit for Dodging Panache to help. Down to 3 hp. Jawhar, you're up, then Jamir. More in Discussion thread.

For several reasons, I would prefer to be in B7 (protect Craggark's flank, 5-foot step would allow me to exclude the mage from a channel). Unfortunately, I need to get close enough to touch Torvald with the wand... I'd also like to Channel this round, but I would end up healing (at least) one of the enemy :(

5-foot step into C7, zap Torvald with PvE. Drop wand as a free action.

Jamir spits blood through his teeth at Hjort and grins at the big Ulfen.

"How many of your countrymen have you killed today? Your misguided quest for revenge against an imagined enemy ends now, murderer!"

Jamir draws his rapier, and hacks at the big man.

Rapier: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 171d4 ⇒ 2

Fyi, Jamir is likely to drop if Runa channels again, so you should all be ready for that. Torvald, you're up, might want to target Runa straight off - the wizard is already on fire and has to deal with that on his turn, and if she channels again you wouldn't be able to interrupt her anyway. Craggark, when it's your turn, you might want to five-foot step into B7 to avoid the flank.

Edit: if Hjort attacks Jamir on his next turn, as an immediate action Jamir will use Underfoot Assault if Hjort misses, and Dodging Panache to convert a hit into a miss if adding Jamir's +3 Charisma bonus to AC would make the difference.

male Snows of Summer

Torvald I can't find if it's allowed or disallowed right now so assume it's disallowed for now. I can tell you she's plenty dangerous. The channeling ability alone is very dangerous to your party. It's your turn Torvald

Craggark lands a solid blow on the monk..He hears bones crack the monks eyes widden at the skill of the brute 1/2 orc. Jaimr lands a painful blow on Hjort while Jawhar hits Torvald with a protective wand.

Well , well, guess I don't get to slaughter you guys after all...Runa's touch AC:9! that's a hit!

Torvald disgusted at being pushed around by Thugs and particularly angry at having dark magics used on himself and his comrades, reaches in his bag for one of his last precious alchemist fires. Because of his position high on the sacks he has a clear view of the evil priestess. He grasp the familiar weight of the clay flask and feels comforted. The impact is horrific...Runa dances around screaming completely immolated by the flames and the wizard Lazar burning himself, has yet more flaming liquid splash on him reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16. The wizard avoids the worst of it but his clothes are still on fire. He immediately drops to the ice covered ground and tries to extinguish the flames...reflex: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 2 = 4 but the sticky liquid fire is too resilient dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 3, and soon he lies still on the ground, his face burned beyond recognition. Runa continues to scream...yet her struggle soon ends..she struggles to maintain composure as she drops to her knees..engulfed in flames..you were to be my servants in the hells?.. her voice trails off in a rasp as she falls into the snow an unpleasant odor drifts towards the group.

obviously I incorporated the wizard's turn into Runa's because of the splash dmg. Runa is out and still burning. The wizard stop burning but is un-moving. It's Craggark's turn!

Power Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 1 = 211d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7

I can't heal Craggark anymore, as he moved onto the spellcasters, so I'll just move adjacent to Torvald and draw my scimitar.

Jamir delays, and shouts:

"LIGHT HIM UP, TORVALD!!!"

Hjort staggers to his feet suffering a vicious cut from Jamir for his troubles. He moves toward Craggark and takes a wild swing that Craggark easily dances out of reach of. Jamir tempted to run in and finish the barbarian off with another thrust, instead eyes Torvald from the corner of his eye. The Dwarf is balanced on the shifting grain sacks with his arm cocked back ready to thrown more burning death.

Instead of blocking the Dwarf's shot,

The Dwarf who's eye, was following every movement of the Red Bearded savage, immediately lets the vial fly. It arcs thru the air majestically, striking Hjort right on the pate of his head. A wave of heat and fire rolls over Craggark who is also touched by the flame but, not nearly so much as Hjort. Hjort's screams and wails are uncharacteristically sad and soft. The flames lick up his body like a dry bush. When he stops moving even Craggark cannot help but feel a little pity for the way of the man's death.

No need for Craggark to make a save as Jawhar can just channel everyone to health. Congrats guys, you won! Look for an epilogue post over the weekend. I'll post something about purchases and inventory tracking sheets in the discussion form. For now know that all the Trollheim guards(that u met out front) are alive and in your debt.

Holy damn, by my count, Torvald left Hjort at -13hp. I'm assuming, given the dated nature of this scenario, that he's not an Unchained Barbarian, so that's at least another -2hp now that he's done raging, leaving Hjort a very crispy critter at -15hp. Well done, fellows.

Under his breath, Craggark watches the fireball that once was Hjort's body. "Gorum awaits those who die in glorious battle. This was a pathetic display by a craven man. No one waits for this spirit in the afterlife." He spits on the ground beside the burning corpse.

Craggark moves to the forms of the fallen soldiers of Trollheim, helping to revive them. Once assured that they're not dead, he moves to examine the bodies of Hjort's comrades, leaving the Asmodean for the last.

If any of their enemies cling to life, Craggark pauses over them, and gains Jawhar's eye. He addresses the priest. "Abadar preaches balance in all things, but payment for services rendered must be given. What does Sarenrae say?"

I want to end these villains. Abadar, please let me collect the taxes.

In the meantime, Craggark searches their persons, looking for potions that might be healing, as well as other loot.

None of these have shown any signs of penitence. Pharasma can judge them now."

Jamir stalks over to Runa's corpse, crouches down, and whispers in her ear.

"I do not know if you can hear me, or if you are already on your way to Hell. But I know this was your doing, Asmodean. And whatever your torment is in your master's realm, it is no more than you deserve."

He spits onto her lifeless face before he stands.

"That is for my mother's father, Kepli Galonnica, of the Westcrown Galonnicas, you devil-worshipping murderess!"

Oh, we are playing for keepsies!

GM:
After getting the nod from Jawhar, Craggark surreptitiously makes certain to permanently end the threat of these cretins by breaking each of their necks.

Abadar, the tally has been sorted and the taxes have been settled.

Craggark then places copper, silver, or gold pieces over the eyes (or where the eyes were) of each body, using coins that he finds in their possessions.

As the battle resolves the guards begin to stir from their stunned slumber. Many thanks are offered to the party for their bravery. Your group finds several incriminating scorched documents on Runa's body. Most of the documents are in some type of cypher (DC:20 linguistics) you resolve to bring them back to Venture captains Bennary and Drandle Dreng. Your first stop is back to the Inn to pick up Skagni's chest. You leave Trollheim as soon as you are cleared of any wrongdoing in the attack on the armory.

When you arrive back in Kalsgard you find out that Venture captain Dreng has returned to Absalom to try and recover from his illness. Venture Captain Bennary takes the cyphered papers and sets about getting them interpreted. She gives you a week off but, tells you to stay in Kalsgard. A week later you are summoned back to the Grinning Pixie. Venture Captain Bennary has grim news. It seems Skagni might have been abducted and taken to the interior of Irrisen! What's worse, Runa white may have been a part of the Shadow lodge organization!

The papers in her possession indicate that not only was an organization very similar to the Shadow lodge responsible for giving Runa orders but, they also may have organized the attack on Hjort's village under the guise of Pathfinders. Bennary is clearly enraged she stalks around the desk like a predator. we're going to hit these so called Shadow lodge fiends back for the trouble they've caused mark my words! she slams her first to the desk. But, first we've a comrade to rescue....are you all ready for another mission?
