The Worldwound tore reality apart at the dawn of the Age of Lost Omens, murdering the nation of Sarkoris and unleashing a ravenous demonic horde upon the world. Only the quick action of several other nations of knights, barbarians, and heroes stemmed the demon army and contained it within lost Sarkoris, and for the next century, crusade after crusade tried to defeat the demons only to fail time and time again. Their greatest success, the line of magical artifacts known as wardstones that stand sentinel along the Worldwound's border, barely manages to contain the demons. So when one of the wardstones is sabotaged, a city falls and the demons within surge out in a massive assault like none before. Even before the Fifth Crusade has begun a city has fallen and some of the crusaders' greatest defenders and heroes are slain. Can anyone rise up against the demon host to prevent the armies of Deskari, the demon lord of the Locust Host, from swallowing the world?

Andlat will take the cloak and 2 scrolls and attemt to identify eath of them.

This cloack and these scrolls are magical, I will attempt to identify them, would anyone be able to deterime what the potions are? I've never been very good at potions.

Everyone take a breather, and get something to eat. Hegron looks like he is scouting ahead, let's wait till he gives the all clear and press on.

You come around the corner and find two creatures digging away at the earth. They are strange indeed, as one seems to be mismatched from multiple races and the other is covered in boils

The cloak is a cloak of resistance, it would increase your protection against poisons, magical explosions, mind affects and other things. I would take it, but I am sure others would see more use out of it than I. I am unsure on the scrolls though, Aravashnial could you determine their use? And do you know anyhting about potions?

The elfish looking one turns to face Hegron. When he turns you see that his second half of his face appears like a lizardfolks, with a goat's horn coming off of one side of his head. “If your intentions are ill, we ask you to move on and leave us in peace. If they are good, then perhaps you can help. As you can see, misfortune has befallen us.”

They appear to have dug down so that only one rock remains between them and their friend. Lifting away this rock will require a 25 Strength check, with up to 6 people lifting.

Nossac gathers the others and moves up to the rest. Seeing the pinned figure, he immediately moves to help but feels that it would be best to make sure these creatures need is genuine.

Moving to the boulder and taking a deep breath, Hegron starts pulling - his muscles bulging with effort. However he does not seem to get a good grip on the massive stone, and is unsuccessful in his efforts.


i suggest having someone make the check with the others make aid checks to lift the rock

He turns to the new comers and begins questioning gently.

Can you tell us more about how you got down here and the events that led up to your companion being trapped? Were any of you injured when the demons attacked?


Lann looks confused, "Demons? We have encountered no such thing." The boiled one gargles a bit. "Yes Dyra you are correct, that would explain all the shaking the caves have been doing latly. Crel here was trapped inn an...'aftershock' I believe is what our chief called it. He is more knowledgble about your surrface trems, but he tries to keep us educated in our ansestors ways. We were sent here by our villiage. This is a place where guards from our villiage are posted to watch for intruders. And as for you earlier question, our villiage is in the caves."
