Wrath of the Righteous (Inactive)

Game Master Schiffer

The Worldwound tore reality apart at the dawn of the Age of Lost Omens, murdering the nation of Sarkoris and unleashing a ravenous demonic horde upon the world. Only the quick action of several other nations of knights, barbarians, and heroes stemmed the demon army and contained it within lost Sarkoris, and for the next century, crusade after crusade tried to defeat the demons only to fail time and time again. Their greatest success, the line of magical artifacts known as wardstones that stand sentinel along the Worldwound's border, barely manages to contain the demons. So when one of the wardstones is sabotaged, a city falls and the demons within surge out in a massive assault like none before. Even before the Fifth Crusade has begun a city has fallen and some of the crusaders' greatest defenders and heroes are slain. Can anyone rise up against the demon host to prevent the armies of Deskari, the demon lord of the Locust Host, from swallowing the world?

Battle Mat

Im looking to run a Wrath of the Righteous campaign right here on the forums. I'm looking for four players who are un able to play this campaign but want to, however anyone with an interesting character is welcome.

All heroes must be good alignment (but i wont get too hung up on law vs chaos), 15 point buy and use one of the six backgrounds presented in the players guide. NO GUNS! or samurai/ninja. You can play any core race, Tiefling, or an Aasimar. Other than that just make your characters normal.

please put your description and stats on this forum for me to look at.

So what information am i missing?

posting time?

Being the whole campaign is'nt out yet i'm not too worried about posting a lot throughout the day. ill be posting once in the morning except for M/W/F and at least once every night.

-Thanks

EDIT: no third party content either pls

I have a concept for an "apprentice wizard" with a natural gift for magic but a block on control.
Looking to do Archmage and play the monomyth start straight.
Will try to get something in quickly.
I'm in the Australian time zone. I can generally post 1-2 times in a 24 hour period, but more frequently on weekends.

Maybe I could make an old fashioned sword and board fighter. Plain old human should work.

You didn't mention traits.

Grand Lodge

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Dotting for interest.

campaign trait +1 more. sorry

Also i should say: your character meta wise doesn't has to be a big deal, the story and the way you play your character is what are what will help you get picked!!

I'm curious, GM Schiffer, if you would be open to a bard, heading down the marshal path. The catch is that I would like to re-flavor the bard's performance abilities as inspiring words and orders, like a battlefield officer. He would focus on aiding others and would serve as the party face pretty often. What do you think?

Interested!

Just so happens I have a human cavalier who was created for Wrath of the Righteous. First campaign went under before the first combat ended, and I've applied for others with no luck. He's basically a gruff old bastard who's lost everything and seeks a glorious death. Eventually he'll end up taking the guardian path and fight to defend the party. Let me know what you think.

so basically a 4e warlord? It would fit well with the story so as long as you didn't change anything mechanically i wouldn't mind it at all

Here is Elros.

Harakani here with Mekel. Hope this is okay - not sure what format you preferred everything in GM Schiffer.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 32

Interested, thinking of making a bard, maybe bard/cavalier heading for chevalier. More focus will go to bard since someone has posted an interest in playing a cavalier already.

Might I present Thomas Vinland, Shield of Desna going the guardian path. His stats are listed as 20 point buy. His stats at 15 points are 12, 12, 12, 9, 16, 14.

err, I meant battle herald, not Chevalier. Not sure what I was thinking when I made that first post, lol.

OK, we'll try this.

Dennis the tainted

Dennis was born to members of the Medavian Crusade. From an early ages he was drilled on the physical as well as mental skills he would need to oppose incursions from the World Wound. His parents, both Paladins, had the highest expectations of him, raising him in the church of Iomedae and preparing him for a life of sacrifice and virtue.

Then something went horribly wrong. He was kidnapped by demonic cultists who subjected him to vile rituals in an attempt to corrupt him. Eventually his parents and some fellow crusaders tracked down the cultists and put them to the sword. Luckily the rituals did not take and he was not corrupted. He was, however a bit tainted. Once on a path of moral purity, he went astray. As he entered his teen years he took up carousing, wenching, and developed quite a taste for the sauce. His parents tried to put him back on the straight and narrow, but to no avail. Eventually he gave up the church of Iomedae and took up worship of Cayden Callean. This was the final straw for his parent, and he was disowned.

Finding himself on his own, he decided to use his high level of martial training, and level of expertise in otherworldly threats, he joined a mercenary company based in Kenabres, the Rampant Gryphons. The mercenary life fighting demons has suited him well, even if he remains a relative neophyte.

Right on. I'm on my phone right now, but I'll have him posted tonight.

Dorotea would would like to apply.

Awesome characters so far guys. everything looks good and i can't wait to see how this is going to turn out

CN tiefling sorcerer.

Understands too well that the hordes of evil cannot be allowed to win.

This GM_Jacob.

Isaac's stats are a work in progress. I'm close, but not quite done yet.

Kel was originally made for another WotR game, and actually made it through recruitment, but the game was DOA.

He's fully fleshed out and ready to go. I'd love to have a chance to play him.

Mechanically, he's a Teifling Fighter focusing on guarding other characters. Eventually I plan on having him become a Paladin.

Please let me know what you think.

Same here. This looks to be a very unique AP.

For your approval, Hope you like it. I am not sure what the different Mystic Paths are, but Marshal sounded pretty cool.

Nossac is an Elven Paladin (Divine Hunter) of Erastil. He has had his fair share of bad luck throughout his life, but has a unique perspective on silver linings.

Sometime tomorrow i ail decide on the four heroes. it will probably be in the after noon closer to 7 central time. so anyone that whats to submit a character please do so soon. As for the day we start playing i'm thinking friday/saturday would be a good time to start, and would give everyone time to get to adjust characters based off of the party (if you want to of course)

Fomiel would like a shot at redemption.

When he is redeemed, I was hoping his bloodline arcana could be changed to give his summons DR/evil to represent his summoning of celestial creatures to fight evil.

Bloodline Arcana: Whenever you cast a spell of the summoning subschool, the creatures summoned gain DR/good equal to 1/2 your sorcerer level (minimum 1). This does not stack with any DR the creature might have.

Thank you everyone for applying to me campaign!

Of course I can't take all of you (although i wish i had the patience to run a 1 man WotR).

I've decided to take Nossac the Paladin, Dorotea the Fighter, Thomas the Cleric, and Mekel the wizard.

To everyone else thank you for applying and im sorry i couldn't pick you.
