Don't worry about it. I'm trying to post at least once per day, but my pace will wax and wane depending on external factors, and I wouldn't expect any different from the rest of you. Nobody's perfect, not even Vin Diesel.

Same; work was really busy the last few days and so my posting has been a little erratic. I'll get something up soon :)


It's all okay. I was out for most of the day anyway, I just panicked a little when I realized how long it had been since anyone had posted.

Mackenzie, are you alright with someone extracting poison from defeated venomous foes? Its an houserule written by James Jacobs, so its not 'official', but its fairly reasonable.

Regardless, you have the standard 5% chance of poisoning yourself unless you have poison use. Poison harvested in this manner remains viable for 24 hours before it spoils—making preserved poison that lasts longer requires Craft checks.


Gave this some thought and yes, I'm okay with this, especially since I like the talismanic components from Ultimate Campaign, so we'll go ahead and use that.

You can even go ahead and take 20, but remember that taking 20 takes a VERY long time (I'd say at least half an hour in this case), and you have limited supplies down here.

We all make mistakes, don't worry! ..I used to think they had official rules on critting/critfailing with skills. Nope! My group houseruled it apparently but I hadn't known it was just a houserule. Boy did that cause an argument when I tried to DM Skull and Shackles on roll20 a while back. I mean sure he flubbed his climb check and fell to his doom at level 1 extremely early on in the adventure.. not my fault I didn't know nat 1's weren't autofails XD

You can't take 10 on aid another or during combat/stressful situations. Other than that I think you can pretty much do it any time.

Some skills you can't take 10 or 20 on. Unless it's houseruled, like diplomacy. As a single failure has an effect and you can only effect the same target once per day. But thankfully those skills are very few and/or narrow in situations.

Is it wrong that I am now envisioning the holy water animating as an elemental and jumping out of the bowl to attack Malzii?

Malzii is a....personality and relatively intelligent, but with average wisdom so there will be some 'seemed like a good idea at the time' moments :D

Hi guys, I would like to apologize in advance. I had to terminate my chef, two cooks, and a server in the last 24 hours. As such, I am very short staffed at work and my posting with probably dip for the next week. I will try to get on as much as possible, but if I have not posted in a timely fashion, welcome the GM or another player to post on my behalf.

Are we on the second round of combat now? If so, it would be helpful to have some sort of notice along the lines of "Players Up" or "X, Y, & Z may act" or whatnot :)

That's cold for level 1's like us.


Yeah, but you outnumber him and it's not like he can channel negative energy or anything, it just keeps him alive longer. Sorry I've been slow on posting, work has been crazy this week, and I need to also tally up xp because I've only awarded xp once so far and should be doing so at a minimum every time we change maps.


Okay, new post up, and just a quick reminder, I'm often applying the Advanced simple template or using a similar but higher CR monster to make sure that everyone gains the same amount of xp from each encounter that would be gained if there were only 4 PCs in the group. Generally I prefer to stick to simple templates, since they are the least likely to result in a creature gaining powerful abilities beyond the scope of what characters at your level should be able to handle. (It doesn't grant or improve DR, SR, etc.)

Apologies for the lack of posting on my part everyone! School has been really hectic this week (and almost every week to a certain extent, ugh), and I've just been swamped. I'll have a post up tonight for certain.

On another note, how are we doing on resources? Do we even need to stop and rest? Dra'zaak is injured, but with a quick spell, extract, or charge from his wand, he'll be good to go.

I'm running out of bardic preformance, and so far, that seems to be most of what I can contirbute.

Oh, and I'm also holding a healing spell intended for the dwarf.

What makes the loss of your chef and two cooks and a server worse? Having to have two more employees (one host, one server) removed in handcuffs for larceny. Yup, its been a grand last month. But now the house has been cleaned, and we are running lean and tight with a positively motivated staff. Posting will now return to regularly scheduled volume. My appreciation for everyone that has put up with my absence over the last couple weeks.

Really excited to keep this game going!
