Vina Sitha

Vina points to the wall, whispering something in Lakadee's topmost branches.
She casts guidance on Lakadee before the treant sapling starts its ascent.
Lakadee
|
Lakadee's branch-like arms dart out towards the wall, taking firm hold within the structure and spreading into dozens of little crevices. Moving up and sideways, Lakadee clears the waterline and moves all the way to the strange creature with webbed hands and sharp teeth!

Before Edwin can drop his bow, Dawn brings the glaive down heavily upon fairy. *SPLASH!* It doesn't come back up.
The feral fish-woman on the wall of trophies screams in frustration.
Since I did not have a chance to hit tooth fairy, can I then make a double move?

Shaking his head to clear it, Bob looks around. 'Whats goin on 'ere? Wait wasn' I jess in the hall o'er there? OYE! We's a fightin!'
Raising his musket, he aims for the strange woman. "Yas needin ta learn you sum manners, m'lady! I...." trailing off as he sees the water glistening off his musket, he frowns. "Ruttin...dun messed up me powder! That aint gun do me no good."
Quickly the man empties the barrel and sets to reloading it. Tugging the stopper from the powder horn, he dumps a few grains down the barrel and begins packing his wad as he returns the stopper.
Holding a finger up, he advises "Be witcha in a moment."

Razka continues to sway gently even after the singing stops, a blissful, mouth open grin on his face.
"Hey! I was listening to that!" he says with a scowl when it stops.
Then, his eyes open wide with shock and post dated fear and he claps both hands over his mouth, muffling what comes out next.
"My teeth! You were going to take my beautiful teeth!"
Anger makes it easy for him to summon up the power to fling magic at the toothy woman.

Smiling broadly, Bob raises his musket and takes aim. "Now be my turn ta join the shindig!"

Sorry for not posting, rough few days.
Seeing her party closing in and knowing her crossbow isn't effective anyway, Elianna moves to the door and tries to close it to prevent escape. If it doesn't look like the door will move due to the flow of water she will instead draw her bladed scarf from around her waist and ready an action to attack enemies of the party if they approach her.

"Man, what a pain." Dawn sheathes her glaive and climbs towards Vina.
"Hey Vina." She pulls out a tooth. "The tooth fairy pulled out my tooth and I'm bleeding everywhere. Could you help me out a bit?"

Like a troll's limb the healing magic reattaches the tooth to Dawn's gum.
Good thing you put it back in the right place. Dawn could have been the saddest elven unicorn in all of fantasy.
Razka Croyle

Razka is just about to begin the traditional, insufferable gloating over a fallen foe when something in the cage catches his eye. He wades toward it, stopping just outside to examine the contents.
"Dunno, yet, Bob. But you might want to have that fancy boomstick of yours ready, just in case," Razka answers his companion.

Nested among a few dozen floating taxidermy birds of various species is a seemingly paralyzed humanoid form. The figure is still breathing, but unnaturally immobile.
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
Virml is up to his neck in water, his hands grasping the bars, his mouth fixed in a nearly toothless scream. Only his tear-filled eyes move. They dart about imploringly as the party members draw near.
At the current rate of fill, the water will completely submerge the cage in about an hour's time. The cage has a small door with a keyhole set in it about two feet beneath the waterline. The cage itself is about 5-feet in diameter and a little shy of six-feet tall. It has thick gilded bars that are probably iron underneath. The door is small big enough for a human child to pass through, but a tight squeeze for anyone bigger.

"Hey, it's Virml the... Helpless? What are you doing here?" Dawn seems confused.
"Careful where you swing those, little shrub. Unlike you, Wirml won't grow back his arm if you smash it off."
She pulls out her warhammer. "That being said, let's smash a hole in those bars and get Virml out of there."

If it has been less than 2 minutes since Lady Gormandelle attacked, Dawn's Monkey Fish spell is still active. She'll swim underneath and haul Virml out of there.

Lakadee steps cautiously forward. Tentatively the trent raises his keg-sized fists suddenly slams them down on the cage folding it into a more envelope-like shape somewhere beneath the waterline. Tiny stuffed birds with glass eyes bubble up to the surface.
There's a long pause as everyone just stares.
Dawn monkeyfish is still active.
Dawn determines where Virml is pinned by prodding about with her warhammer. The second a huge gout of air bubbles to the surface rises to the surface (as if it had been forced out of someone by a walking tree having stepped on them) Dawn dives down and hauls the paralyzed man out of the wrecked cage.
The man emerges senseless, paralyzed, nearly toothless, with bleeding gums, and with birdcage grill marks impressed into his exposed skin.
Dawn Verda

Swimming. Dawn wishes she were good at it. Anytime she tried to practice, some kind of joke would kick in and she'd think about how inconvenient webbed feet would be. You can't wear socks, you'd tear the front of the sock. And even if you did, it would get soggy when you'd go swimming (because you have webbed feet. Of course you would swim all the time!) so why wear them? Watching Foremother swim as well as she walks just made Dawn more jealous, so she never learned how to really dive deeply.
Wait, Dawn lost her train of thought again. Look for Virml.
With the spell still active, she dives down, grabs the guy and swims back to the surface, plopping him atop one of the book cases.
"Hey Vina, can you use my wand again to stop his bleeding gums? It's amazing he's still alive."

No bookshelves in this room, but there is a stuffed rhinoceros missing a pair of big grinding molars, and some cropping teeth up front.
The magical healing seals Virml's bleeding gums, and improves his general greenish pallor a bit.
After a while, his ridged muscles soften enough for him to unbend and speak.
"Thwang goodbehs you are heay, who-ebbah you are." burbles the man though his ruined mouth. "Ah it was howwahbhul, simpwee howwahbhul."
He begins to explain how he came to be imprisoned, unfortunately this takes a while as he goes accustomed to his newly acquired lack of teeth.
Folks can listen to Virml, and try to understand, or do something else with the intervening time.

I don't think I've ever laughed so much after reading a post than that last one by The World's Most Interesting GM. And I checked the boards at work, so now I'm that guy that's laughing alone at the far end of the office... well done Sir.
