No conflicts here. I didn't plan anything for Dawn in part 2.
I frequent Google Hangouts regularly, and I'm testing out Myth Weavers for some 2e playtesting. It's not too bad so far, but I'm fine with waiting.

I like the idea of hangouts and slides since you can roll dice there and also keep logs that we could copy-paste here when the site comes back?
Also sorry for not posting so much these last few days, new semester is always crazy around town for work and school.

The chances I had friday to post, the site was down. :-/
Pulled two heavy shifts this weekend. (both over 16hrs) Since the site is currently up...Ill try to post through my list quickly.
The World's Most Interesting GM
I feel you. No 16s, but 13 10s in the last 14 days. Gotta pump out those auto-parts before our Tangerine-in-Chief deep-sixes NAFTA. ;)

Always fun! Today I did a 19. Right after posting in Gameplay, my relief called me....she's sick. /le sigh....
I'm safe. On my second beer since I got home...but had to call around and wake subordinates up until one agreed to go in.
At least I get tomorrow off. Even short shifts that many days in a row wear on a person. Best wishes for ya GM!

So Razka, on reading Razka's bio I'm not really getting a 'lawful' vibe from him (LN). Maybe N or CN (or even *gasp* CE) but nothing particularly screams 'law'. Does he have a personal moral code of some sort? I noted the deference paid to the Paracountess but that was about it thus far.
Razka Croyle
|
He does have a moral code. He won't break the law, though he'll bend it a great deal.
He won't break his word, but will be careful not to give his word, either and doesn't mind deceiving people through omission or suggestion.
Basically, he's a letter of the law/rules sort of guy. He'll follow them all but if there is a situation that is iffy or not covered by law or rules, he'll take full advantage.
He's as close to being LE as possible without actually actively oppressing people.

The bio makes it sound more like everything is about 'me' for Razka. The 'make the rules work for me' is typical to most rich or powerful persons, which are in majority, ultimately in it for themselves. This can be applicable to any alignment to a certain degree, but Razka's bio as written makes it clear that Razka is number one, that people are from his perspective drawn towards him just cause he's awesome.
A typical LN guy will have genuine drive or focus on improving civilization, himself (Irori followers), or focus on rising within a strict hierarchy for a large organization steeped in traditions and codes of conduct.
Basically, CN is 'in it for myself first' and LN is 'in it for everyone else then me last'. I'd recommend adding some additional perspective in the write-up to demonstrate / showcase his code and how he strives to popularize this code in the world he lives in (what is Razka's cause and how does he fit vis-a-vis others who share his ideals?)

Sorry for being MIA yesterday. On top of work beating me to a pulp, found out some trouble news about my grandfather.
Working on getting caught back up this evening.
The World's Most Interesting GM
No worries. Bob was hypnotized anyhow. Now Abaal though, Abaal is worried. Hope life treats you and your grand better in the future.

I too have concerns about poor Abaal, but I respect your choice with him. Thanks for the good wishes

I had a rough few days and I thought I posted in the discussion of every game I'm in but I clearly forgot this one. Totally my fault sorry!
Dawn, I *love* your posts! <3

Dawn's a real joker at heart. (Her fey blood is driving her insane.) I hope I was able to entertain you, at least a little.
The World's Most Interesting GM
Psst! Don't tell anyone I said this, but they're giving out boons (ba-boons in Vina and Lakadee's case) so please roll a d20 over here when you get the chance. Don't let anyone know I told you.

ba-boon: 1d20 ⇒ 3
The World's Most Interesting GM
You now have all the pieces of the puzzle. Some of you, I know have played this before and some of you have probably read the scenario to run it for others. There are a couple of riddles (or riddles with in riddles) hidden amid the fragments.
If you know the answers because you have had previous experience with the scenario let us know and please refrain from answering directly. If you haven't you have until Saturday morning EST to discuss and give the answers. At which point I will make with chronicles. ;)
The World's Most Interesting GM
Elianna, I still need your boon roll.
Dawn Verda

I don't remember the answer from when I played this in core, but...
*zips mouth shut*
*tapes "do not open until Saturday" on mouth*
*realizes this was a terrible idea*

I probably won't get a chance to post again before the deadline, tomorrow (it seemed so far away when it was given...) so here are my OOC guesses that someone can use as their IC guess, depending on what people think is the most likely (which may not be either one, of course.)
By the most straightforward reading, I think it's the birds eating out of the crocodile's mouth (not the owl and albatross) because they seem to be the only ones I can see who definitively ate after someone else and were not then eaten by someone else.
But, I'm caught up on the 2nd line...the "Knowing what you don't know you know", you know?
If that's the case, I think the answer is, literally "I don't know." Meaning that the answer is not actually in the riddle and it just requires someone to admit they don't know and thereby "lose."
That answer resonates with me more because it also seems to me that, like Razka, Mr. Caught would never admit he didn't know something so that's why he didn't strike upon the answer.
So, there're my 2 coppers for the discussion. I don't know what the answer is so I'm good with whatever anyone else guesses.

Sorry, thought I'd posted this.
I have run this and played it in core, so I'm leaving it to you guys...for now.

Thanks TWMI GM!

What was the answer to the riddle, anyway?
.
.
.
.
All the riddles between the sub-riddles between third line and the last line are superfluous and should be removed from consideration. Each is there own beast, only there to confuse the subject. Now with your riddle reduced to three lines and a title (itself mostly superfluous as well) who eats last?
The World's Most Interesting GM
Mine looks good. It would have looked better if I'd found that book, of course...
I tried for it once with a character that really could have used it and failed. Later, I realized my best chance to get it would be to GM the scenario. ;)
The World's Most Interesting GM
My chronicles look good. Thanks GM!
Oh my, Dawn is level 3 now.
Thanks TWMI GM!
Chronicles look good.
Thank you!
Thanks for playing. Hope you all had fun.

No problem.
I'm shutting the thread down tomorrow. The game has already been reported to The Powers That Be.
See everyone on the boards!

Normally I'd tell you to stay thirsty, but I think we've had our fill of water for a lifetime!
Stay Dry, my friends.
Which is something I'm saying to people IRL, too since it's been raining four about 36 hours straight, here.

I'm not always a pretentious jackass but...no wait...I am.
I guess that should have been "I don't always play a pretentious jackass, but when I do, it's Razka Croyle..."

Don't worry, either sentence work fine! :P :P :P
