Honestly there's not a lot I can find on The ramifications of the condition. I might have to resurrect my dumb question thread

Pat, typically these conditions will be as the result of a spell, or some ability or effect that resembles a spell; in that case, look at the spell duration. For example, if this effect is meant to emulate (or closely resembles) a cause fear spell it would probably last for 1d4 rounds as per the spell. If its something that radiates an aura of fear in a particular area, rather than a spell or spell-like ability, then possibly the effect would end once you left the area, but I'm not certain on this.

Yeah, it just seems kind of useless. The effect is temporary and doesnt reset for hours. I dont know why its in the module. Atmosphere? It's boggged down play anyway

Ah, sorry, I kind of let the side down here by not realising it was a haunt. I should have had Malden roll a Knowledge Religion check to recognise it when the whole dead, leering faces thing occurred, then channeled energy to destroy it - cleric's job. Sorry guys.

Nah, don't feel bad. Haunts suck. I hate running them. They should work like traps, but somehow never seem to work quite right.

Yeah, it just delays the game. It's not even a good barrier to overcome. It has a 24-hour reset time and you guys get over the effects literally in a minute.

Hi folks. I just got word we are losing Sahsara/Acorn to the game. The question I pose to you is this:

Should I have her disappear? She just took some damage, I could have her expire, or get angry and leave.

Would anyone want to run her?

Yes, that is the impression I got from his PM. Tordek, you might be able to confirm this.

Personally I'd rather either have someone else run her or her just disappear. I don't want to get into the DMPC trap this game was in a year ago. It gets tedious.

Yeah, I can appreciate that. A rogue is certainly useful, but we've got a pretty reasonable skill spread in the group, and unless the AP is particularly trap heavy we can probably survive without one. I'm happy to run the character if we decide as a group it's better to keep her around (or to defer to someone else if they'd prefer to run her) but also have no objection to having the character leave or be killed off if it doesn't look like the player will return.

Well, this AP is pretty lethal. A good trap disabler might be a good thing to have. If you feel up to botting her along, I have no objections.

Ok, I also don't want to step on anyone's toes - Treppa already has a bot alias set up for example, so Treppa, if you're keen to run our rogue, have at it!

Folks, things have been hectic during my run-up to Spring Break. My apologies that I haven't been diligent about posting. I will try to get things settled in by week's end.

OK, just schecking to make sure everything is going OK. I know I have been spotty with my postings, but I should be on point these next few days, and we are headed into some of the key scenes. After you defeat this mob, I'll move us forward, I just want to make sure we are all in, so just post up a bit of conversation or whatnot in the thread to let me know you are around and I'll get the next bit rolling :)

Just a heads up, I will be away in China for about two weeks from the 1st of April. During that time I’m not sure how much internet access I will have, how much time I will have to get on, and whether I’ll be able to get access to Paizo. Towards the end of the trip I’ll be in Hong Kong which might mean improved access. I’ll try to keep up with my pbp games if I can, but please NPC my character if required to keep things moving along.

Just a heads up folks. I am going through yet another round of personal issues. I apologize since it feels as if I am forever posting apologies, but these past couple of years have thrown me some real curveballs.

I am on track to graduate next month and start job hunting. Assuming that I can find a job quickly, I hope to have my life more in tune. However, I still have to get through all that.

Does this mean I wont post? Not at all. However, it might mean I am a bit slow on the updates. Please bear with me and hopefully I will have my life settled and rolling ahead in an orderly fashion by the end of summer.
