Firearms aren't all that common amongst the normal townsfolk though if you need one it is relatively easy to find one if you have the money and the know how.

Hi all - life is still bad. Please - if you can - bot me. I feel bad not contributing but work is a nightmare (16+hr days).

This may continue (on and off) for about 3 months.

IF you want me to back out I will do so but if you want to bot me around I'd be very grateful - E6 is something I really enjoy and its hard to find.


I will bot you for now, if you can post once in a while it would be cool but I understand life can get in the way. I won't do anything to get your character killed or perma damaged while you aren't here. Hope work isn't too bad.

Will update character sheet later but with 20 hps and a +4 to hit with my rapier (or dagger) I can now fight my way out of the end of a sufficiently wet paper bag.

That said, the BEAUTY of E6 is that as most mooks, people etc remain the same, I can be considered a 'competent' swordsman now by the average reckoning.

I have several scrolls I will attempt to learn later.

Whoever has the highest UMD should probably be the one with the wand of Bless, since I don't think any of us can use it.

Beren's the only one who would benefit much from the Bull's Strength, so having Trogg drop it on him before fights should probably be our new SOP.

Residuum is a 4e thing I think. In that you use it for ritual components and I think magical item crafting? Not sure. Maybe Davachido got his editions mixed up :)

I can use it once I learn my Masterwork Transformation spell... But one thing at a time.


I'm actually reconsidering my skill selections, I will go with:
Spellcraft (2 ranks), Linguistics (1 rank, Draconic) to continue expanding Jazz's language repertoire and open up for secretive communication with Rikaku :), aaand... Perception (1 rank). Acrobatics and Stealth are high enough already for now, I think.

Feat-wise, I was thinking Arcane Strike. But does anyone know if Arcane Strike stacks with the Magus' Arcane Pool ability? If it doesn't, I'd look into something else and would appreciate anyone's advice... I've never played a Magus before and there seems like lots of interesting options! Combat Casting is another strong contender.

Arcane Strike is a typeless bonus, so it stacks with everything! The only problem is that activating Arcane Strike is a swift action, and Arcane Pool is ALSO a swift action, and you can only make one of those in a round. But considering that Arcane Pool lasts for 1 minute, you can certainly use Arcane Strike every round after activating it.

Depending on how long this goes, and the amount of combat we see, the amount of combat *I* personally get involved in I am wavering between weapon focus and arcane strike at level 5... I like 'Gish' concepts and at the upper levels of E6 play a wizard/witch can make a credible combatant (assuming E6 remains true to its principal concepts on how enemies scale). I love where Gandalf gets into it in LotR... At level 5 Orcs and Goblins make good foes for wizards, the warriors can handle any cave trolls ;)

Decided to move the point in Spellcraft to Linguistics (Terran), so we can use earth elementals to scout.


Some of you have guessed, yes getting names mixed up here. The residuum is meant to be for Variel's spell so if he wishes to enchant or masterwork items later in the campaign.

@Jazz: I'll let you learn the first few spells from Magus by 'rote' so you can prepare them normally. By the time you get your 2nd Magus level I should hopefully have worked a way into you getting a spellbook into the story.

@Variel: The way I've hashed out the rest of the campaign you should deal in a fair few combats (provided you don't find another solution which you could,) in terms of levels you should get to the level cap and 3-4 feats past level cap before the campaign ends hopefully.


Alright I'm going to guess "normally" means w/out a spellbook :P so should I choose the spells I'd like to know based on what a starting magus knows? I'll plan for that and do otherwise if you tell me!

Yes so the 3+Int level 1 spells you start off with I'll consider you can prepare from memory until you get your spellbook, that will hopefully be before you level next.

Hey everyone, at some point in the next 3-4 days I will be returning to a tropical island I was at a few months ago where internet is hard to find and expensive by the minute. I'll probably only be getting access for maybe an hour every few days (that was what I averaged last time I was there). This will likely last until around the 20th. Hope that it's not too much trouble, and if I'm ever slowing the game down please DMPC or somebody feel free to run my character if necessary! I'll be around, but I'll just be there slowly.

Okies... I am really enjoying the story running here. We're just on the surface but its sure creepy.

That said, I wouldn't mind having a 5th player if you want to do a new recruiting drive for a spare so to speak... just in case we lose another.


I can run another recruiting drive for 1-2 more players, what do other people think? I will do the same thing with them linking them to your backstories so they will feel more involved instead of just random townsfolk that decided to join.

The only reason he isn't screaming is he can't feel his body. If he could oh by god would he be screaming. Imagine waking up in the middle of an operation.

I'm up for recruitment. I almost think it'd be easier if the new characters' integration be more story-based than backstory-based, if that makes sense, but whatever works is fine with me!

I suppose we'll be wanting another beefy melee contender to replace Beren, and we don't really have as strong of a divine presence, do we?
