I'm not a brony (is that how you spell it?) But I appreciate D&D enough to say: WFT, that is just like my party IRL.

I've got it down to ten. Results should be up tomorrow.

EDIT: Make that eight. But this is severely testing my will. I want them allllll.

The suspense... is...

so many things could be that last word...

The suspense is, indeed, pizza.

Brunner, holding his wooden maul in one hand tapping the palm of his other with it, looks down his long ugly nose at the adorable red kobold. "Juist mind lizard, that ony faries selected wull need tae be gawked dead carefull lik' by a representative o' th' accords"

hey, he doesn't have to be in the party. He just has to go along to make sure any fairy in the party doesn't break the accords ;)

Good luck guys!

GM_Panic, love the Aasimar!

The kender's name will change, but I'm too busy atm to come up with a decent one.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I was thinking "exciting, nerve-wracking, ect"... Pizza? Oddly appropriate. One does often experience a bit of anticipation when waiting for it.

FINAL LIST
thegreenteagamer: "Pixel", sprite rogue-sorcerer
lucky7: "Callum Younger", human ranger
Zayne Iwatani: Corgyn paladin
The Pale King: Human monk/dwarf kineticist/wyrwood arcanist/gnome summoner
YoLlama: "Kamali'i wahine Lanuola Bancrof", painterlily summoner
Almonihah: "Nakano Isamu", kitsune paladin/swashbuckler
KingOfAnything: Baylily Kettlewhite, half-elf leshy warden druid

Congratulations to those who made it in, and to those who didn't: This was, as I've been alluding to, a pretty difficult set of choices. The last few options in particular had me rolling dice to make decisions easier (it didn't help). I had to call in an outside opinion to finally settle things.

Let me know now if you'd like to be considered for bonus slots!

To those who made it in: Proceed to the Discussion thread!

Nice work to all the people who got in. I see some of my personal favourite submissions got in as well. And at least one painterlily! This is good.

Liberty's Edge

Yeah I'd be up for a bonus slot. The kindercloak is probably better than that for the dwarve.

Great job all, this is a cool setting and I hope you have fun. Definitely interested in the bonus slot.

Good luck and have fun!

"Weel done tae they that git in!"

I am interested in a bonus slot. My submissions all would work swimmingly for that.

Have fun, you lot. :)

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Congratulations to all who got in and have fun! As to the bonus slot, I'd be more than interested.

Congratulations to all who got in and Good luck guys,

Butttt.... I was kind of expecting more from the preparation of @You can play any race, no really" Cuz to me it seems odd that so many core races made it V the dice to the Finale Pick.

Pathfinder spec races
Human + Human + Human + Half-elf + kitsune

None-Pathfinder spec races
sprite [Small Fey] + Corgyn [Dog like Fey]

GM was it just the luck of the dice or was there a resin for the roll back on the Monster and Race builder Races in the party to just two? I was kind of hoping to see a fully mixed bag of Races for the fun of seeing something like that for a change. Looking at it now it seems more a sort of a normal party with a Familiar and monster dog pet-follower. Not saying that is a bad things just seems less than I expected, or I'm I missing something.

Well he did say he was picking people more than specific character concepts.

If you find yourselves in need of a friend, just light the spider-signal and Lily Shadows will find you! (I'm up for a bonus slot if you need/want peoples)

Actually, there are three non-Paizo race PCs, one non-Core race PC, two core race PCs, and one undecided. This wasn't a competition to see who could come up with the weirdest races. It was a typical Recruitment thread, and weird races were allowed. :)

Oh, and there seems to have been some lack of clarity. No dice were involved in the final decisions. That said, nobody was discriminated against for having a character race that was too weird or too generic. That was never a parameter for being chosen here.

Liberty's Edge

From my reading KC tried to use dice to help make decisions, but in the end he ignored whatever they said and only used human judgement ("[the dice] didn't help"). At any rate I think your math, GM_Panic, is a little off?

Here's the rundown of races that were applied:
Paizo races (19):Bukka, tengu bolt ace (crossbow-toting guard native to Barlily)
Ispthd, kasatha rogue (knifemaster from across the Styx)
Zeladaris-ad-Pellipardus, human wizard (with a living spell familiar)
Wyrwood carried by a human.
Dhampir Human cleric of Flicker (Barlily native who made it across the Styx)
Nakano Isamu, kitsune paladin (swashbuckly sort)
Callum Younger, human ranger
Gnome summoner (vintner manipulated by eidolon)
Kalamir the ______, half-elf monk (wayward prince)
Dwarf kineticist (home blew up in volcano)
Wyrdwood arcanist (awoke in tomb or temple, now follows Styx)
Alara Shinrin, elf ninja (travels from land constructed from corpse of giant, looking for mother)
Glendos Vialli, dwarven monk in search of unpleasant fey mentor.
Yeldrid, catfolk gun scavenger (gunslinger from distant land seeking "tanks" and similar devices)
Dingo, grippli toxicant (doomed his people with experiments and now seeks to atone)
Baylily Kettlewhite, half-elf leshy warden (native to Barlily)
Otto Miller, sylph phantom thief (curiosity-driven Barlily native from the wealthiest family in town, unknowingly tied to a sinister organization from birth)
Zalazra Qlinzra, drow investigator (drow gumshoe spying for the drow kingdom)
Lady Naliea Inceene Lorenzz, aasimar synthesist summoner (survivor of a destroyed noble house)
Roran Rydell, half-elf dragonrider (just an ordinary farmboy; also, has a dragon)

Non-Paizo races (23):
Arkhenos Illudary, xindi sorcerer (half-incorporeal learner from a desert across the Styx)
"Pixel", sprite arcane trickster (familiar or guide to another PC, potentially)
Centaur travel cleric/barbarian/archaeologist bard/bloodrager (roving wanderer with a leg injury)
Words-of-Power painterlily sorceress
Painterlily fighter/words-of-power sorceress/cleric ("innocent looking to explore the world, avenge themselves on their creator and have children")
Brunner Hammerfell, trow inquisitor (crotchety moth-winged dwarf for the Unseelie Court with a mallet)
Blinker, kindercloak mesmerist/investigator (weird shadowy critter looking for reason a town got Pied Piper'd)
Dryad ranger (a bit greedy, curious, and lover of nature)
Garid the Turpentiner, painterlily necromancer wizard (resents the dead their picturesque burials)
Gherz, warforged kineticist (wood-focused, awoke in forest with no memory)
Xiz, taninim draconic exemplar (cloud dragon-themed adventurer)
Zirix, quillick witch (ley line guardian cuttlefish person)
Reaper ranger (psychopomp planetouched with the guide archetype)
Ennell, astomoi psychic (shadowy smoke creature seeking self-perfection)
Zyxebrax Weaver/ Lily Shadow, arachna vigilante (self-proclaimed guardian of Barlily)
Dahlyndor/Chymchym, wyrdwood wand sorcerer (monkey-brandished wand imbued with the soul of a mage)
Agostina BanCroft, painterlily bard (paper-themed cursed daughter of deposed noble family) [i]Might be renamed to Kamali'i wahine Lanuola Bancroft.[/ooc]
Drytun, entobian hunter (verminous hunter recently hatched, protected by a motherly mantis)
Old Hobbs, uzamati magus (wayward warrior of a destroyed city seeking clues to his people's fate)
Gnorc fighter from a village north of Barlily
Echo, obitu monk (skeletal product of a monk killing a powerful undead)
Sckhold Fey Kineticist? (would-be evil overlord)
Corgyn paladin (corgi-person paladin)

Sprite, corgyn, and painterlily: all non-Paizo
Human, human, half-elf: all Paizo

The races applied were 45% Paizo, and KC selected 50% Paizo - and since he selected based on players more than characters, this is about what you'd expect. 50% non-Paizo races is way more than most PBPs I've seen on these boards.

e: Well, I guess I should've expected a ninja.

Congratulations to all those who were selected! Enjoy the game!

got you, as I said, wondered if I had missed somethibg.y

Isamu gives everyone a bow. "To those whose paths lie elsewhere, I bid farewell. Perhaps someday our paths shall cross. To those whose paths now intertwine with mine..." he grins, "I look forward to getting to know you."

Aww, shucks. Better luck next time, I hope!
Have a great game KC :)

I'm up for a bonus slot, if available.

Alright, lucky7 isn't going to have time to play, so it's time for a midnight hour replacement. Like Dumbledore here to assign some last-minute points to Gryffindor, here I am to choose one last player.

Garbage-Tier Waifu, of the catfolk gunslinger/grippli alchemist/painterlily necromancer, proceed to the Discussion thread!
