Also, Randtam is totally correct-it was a box not a book and you did return it to her.

As for lycanthropy it is actually a curse (FORT save; remove curse to clear). The readings say that wolvesbane and similar herbs as well as silver holy symbols will help the affected resist it for some time but there is no real documentation of this working. Also, when bitten there is no way for the victim to know they have been infected. Until the next full moon that is....

I would think you could create a wand at your caster level or any level lower than yours, the caster level you picked would dictate the damage of the magic missile spell.

You could have a wand that casts magic missile like a 1st level caster for 1d4+1, or 3rd level caster for 2d4+2, or 5th level caster for 3d4+3. or 7th level caster for 4d4+4. The one for 7th level caster costs more because it is a much better spell doing 4x the damage.

At least that is how I would interpret it.

It's only half the cost of purchase? so 375 GP not 750.

Also, no the wand works at whatever level the maker was at the time of making not what level you are.

Humble opinions below:

Randtam fills the void and you have a knack/talent for e-mail gaming when you aren't trying to kill 9 year old boys that just lost their fathers.

IRL gaming Gabe or I (sometimes John when his Paladin character hasn't died yet) tend to be the party 'face'. Example-"But I have diplomacy!"; insert mental image of Gabe using his hands and starting a sentence with 'Oh mighty such-and-such...'.

In this campaign John designed a surly lil' river rat, Clint has his traditional tactician role (with some nice touches of RP), and Alamin who is the natural 'face' of the party is the NPC. So for me to write the scene plus super-dialog Alamin to MYSELF is just not going to happen as I'm not that at that level of Sybil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sybil_(1976_film)

Randtam reminds me very strongly of our Dornamic e-mail correspondance. You were very descriptive and innovative with lots of goals and directions as to what was happening politically, economically, and socially.

Plus Randtam really is clearly the 'brains' of the party as well as being human in a human-centric adventure so it is a natural for him to be the mouthpiece vs: 1. Viscious Vraxel the Dagger Dastard; Alamin the 'Hot One'; or Uuranx SMASH!

I really enjoy/appreciate you not just playing a class that is not a 'go to' for you but also creating a real persona around the character that gives Randtam very defined breadth and volume. I'll go all the way back to Alamin and Randtam debating about 'good' vs 'evil' vs 'neutral'. Good stuff!

Per previous, use Alamin's Diplo bonus: +16.

Just because I'm not going to RP with myself doesn't mean the party shouldn't benefit from the NPC's bonuses.

If a spellcaster is hasted what options does he have. If he casts a spell his turn is over? He cannot cast two spells right? Can he move after or before casting a spell?

He can attack with a melee weapon twice right?

Just wondering because I am hasted while you guys are also and would like to know what ican do to help better our battlefield options.

The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects.

When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.

All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don't stack. Haste dispels and counters slow.


So you can attack twice but not cast a spell twice.

You can move before or after your attack/action but not before AND after.

I usually figure I can throw something else in involving speed, like zapping a wand or taking a potion.

So you can't CMB and bend bars or escape artist from tentacles and then escape artist through bars or try to get of webbing twice, etc.

Basically:

1. An extra attack if you full attack.
2. +1 on attack rolls.
3. +1 dodge to AC and Reflex.
4. +30' on moves.


And yes I know I posted Uuranx bending bars twice (my error).

So I would say if you are grappled by the tentacles you can break the grapple (standard action) and then move (move action), but not take an additional standard action (like bend bars/escape artist bars/etc).

I want the spell Stinking Cloud! It crushes all spell casters!! Nauseated and useless.
