Sweet buy CLW wand.
I am left with 2 GP and 10 SP.
Thank you. Figured it would be stolen from me if I did not spend it. Owe you 200 gold.

Reminder:
Pathfinder, Saturday March 21, at Vraxel's place.
Breakfast and lunch provided.
We are playing Welch' Carrion Crown so remember to create and bring your character sheets, especially Randtam's!

After much consideration, Vraxel is not going to be a shaman.
Thanks to the DM for letting me retract my day of insanity.

Movement in Combat
Generally, you can move your speed in a round and still do something (take a move action and a standard action).
If you do nothing but move (that is, if you use both of your actions in a round to move your speed), you can move double your speed.
If you spend the entire round running, you can move quadruple your speed (or three times your speed in heavy armor). If you do something that requires a full round, you can only take a 5-foot step.
So it doesn't make any sense to me that you do nothing but move (in combat) and get double your speed, but if you spend the entire round running (in combat) you can go at x4? Why the 2 rules and what's the difference between doing "nothing but move" vs. "spend the entire round running"? Also, you are then running a 40 yard dash in 6 seconds while carrying equipment? 12 seconds sounds a little more realistic but I'm willing to listen.
Vraxel |
40 yard sprint in full equipment at 6 seconds is within reason.
NFL running backs do it under 5, but that's on a nice flat field.

HAHAHAAH!
Really?
Some of the fastest atheletes in the world, that train specifically for running short bursts of speed over the course of most of their life, properly nutritioned and hydrated, not having just force marched 10+ miles, wearing equipment designed to aid them in running (for the most part), on a flat even smooth field or even better turf, NOT carrying backpacks or great axes or other gear.
THAT'S the comparison?
So yes, the best RB at the combine will run a low 4 (w/o pads and w/o carrying a ball).
:)
Plus, it still doesn't explain the dissonance in the rules. Is it double move or is it run?
Regards,
Still unconvinced and a fan of the double move rule vs the running rule.
Vraxel |
I take double move as double your normal speed which is a sustainable fast walk, not a run!
Vraxel |
Besides Uuranx is an all pro running back!
Vraxel |
Then we would see some true Beastmode!
Randtam |
My bad call...knew this would happen
Took Glitterdust over Mirror Image thinking I would make everyone else stronger, over myself.
Vraxel |
No, I blew it, should have let you guys use buff spells before I stealthed in, the regeneration is what is killing us. We need to leave, rest up and come back with a plan.
You stay at range max range of flaming sphere. The rest of us go in and all three of us whack one bad guy at time, then you burn him with the sphere as we move onto the next one. If we can get some alchemical fire that would be good too.
Randtam |
THANK YOU!,!, Why attack right away?.?? A plan could be very vital...as the idiot wizard stands in the middle and makes himself a target. Stupid Wizard.
Oops cannot talk I am unconcious/dead
Alamin Silvergleam |
You guys just need to rally up and ranged attack it.
Alamin is barely hurt and both she and Uuranx can LOH. Once Uuranx burns the down critter she can work the other one over whilst he finishes up the two Trolls. Who has the potion of spider climb?

A Wizard's Guide To Survival
1) Have no idea what your fellow adventurers are going to do
2) React to your comrades movement and implement battlefield control spells
3) Move to the center of battle with no cover, spells or otherwise
4) Continue standing in open area, cast spells that you think help your group
5) Take massive damage while thinking your team is going to kill everything and make life better
6). Realize you are about to die because of your stupidity (take any healing you can)
7) Withdraw with no dignity and take damage in your back and drop. A crossbow bolt is the exclamation point.
8) Get another chance and move to help. Stand strong, take more damage.
9) Hopefully a friend picks you up and brings your carcass out of the battle you put yourself in.
10). Fight another day!!!
Best Regards,
Randtam
P.S. Always remember you are the smart one.

Laughing SO hard!!! :D
That X-bow critical was a pure b@&~~ for sure.
#1 was the key. Vraxel stealthing off by himself to take on 2 unknown foes in front of a fortification with no strategy...maybe not the best idea in retrospect.

I hate trolls!
I saw we run away and nuke the entire site, its the only way to be sure.

Remember to get back 6 hp for the nights rest.
And make sure to include Alamin's channel energy for 28 hp for everyone.

Question....Can I use the Staff of Swarming Insects? Summon Swarm is a 2nd level spell. But Insect Plague I am not finding on the Wizards list. Assume I cannot cast the three charge Insect Plague.
Can Alamin use it as a Cleric for Insect Plague?
Regards Randtam
Carrion Crown CAW |
Anyone can use it with a UMD success check.
DC 20
"Use a Wand, Staff, or Other Spell Trigger Item: Normally, to use a wand, you must have the wand's spell on your class spell list. This use of the skill allows you to use a wand as if you had a particular spell on your class spell list. Failing the roll does not expend a charge."
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/skills/use-magic-device
So if you don't have the spell on your spell list you have to make a DC 20 UMD check.

On Alamin's stat line it says +8/+3
Does Alamin get two attacks. She has been taking only one. Rolling criticals like crazy
too.
What does IC stand for?
