Thanks, hoping for another type. One question per day is going to last us til August when we play in person. I sure hope Randtam can pull some knowledge out of a hat to help narrow the questioning.
Y'all-I'm going to follow Clint's lead and will be in Vegas starting tomorrow through at least next Saturday (Sunday is a possibility). Ipso facto I will not be posting for a week. Hang tight and we'll pick it up when I get back.
Did you want to check the tracks from the figure you saw leaving the memorial? The party had previously stated that would be item two after reviewing the graveyard situation.
Jedi or Sith...awesome comment Jon.
I am thinking one eye Jedi one eye Sith.
Too funny playing with LG characters. Love Clint as A Paladin just wants to destroy! Go get em Uuranx.
Most likely a silly question for all of you but I have never played the Wiz or paid attention to someone who has while playing. Expect them to know what to do....
Let's say I acquire a fifth level spell "Destoy All Undead." I am second level and have intelligence of 18. This means I can cast a spell that is four levels higher. Am I able to cast this spell? At second level it says I can cast first level spells in my daily allotment. Can I cast higher level spells or do they just go in my Spellbook?
So do I need to wait until I reach 10th level to cast the fifth level spell I have acquired? BTW the spell destroys all undead at 50 feet in a radius from the caster per level.
Regards
Randtam
P.S. Do not send me a link to the rule book, I have looked at it.
0:Detect Magic, Guidance, Light; 1:Longstrider, Entropic Shield, Divine Favor, Obscuring Mist; Domain:Longstrider or Remove Fear
From Pathfinder SRD site:
To have any chance of activating a scroll spell, the scroll user must meet the following requirements.
The spell must be of the correct type (arcane or divine). Arcane spellcasters (wizards, sorcerers, and bards) can only use scrolls containing arcane spells, and divine spellcasters (clerics, druids, paladins, and rangers) can only use scrolls containing divine spells. (The type of scroll a character creates is also determined by his class.)
The user must have the spell on her class list.
The user must have the requisite ability score.
If the user meets all the requirements noted above, and her caster level is at least equal to the spell's caster level, she can automatically activate the spell without a check. If she meets all three requirements but her own caster level is lower than the scroll spell's caster level, then she has to make a caster level check (DC = scroll's caster level + 1) to cast the spell successfully. If she fails, she must make a DC 5 Wisdom check to avoid a scroll mishap. A natural roll of 1 always fails, whatever the modifiers. Activating a scroll is a standard action (or the spell's casting time, whichever is longer) and it provokes attacks of opportunity exactly as casting a spell does. If the caster level check fails but no mishap occurs, the scroll is not expended.
Can I include a spell in my Spellbook that is above my Wizard level? Example I memorize a fifth level spell and write (Scribe Scroll) in my Spellbook.
Can I memorize a spell from my Spellbook and cast it, if it is above my level?
If I am 2nd level (+4 Intelligence), can I cast a fifth level spell not from a scroll but one that I have memorized and is in my Spellbook?
Is there a difference between a reading a scroll and what I have contained in my Spellbook?
Once again regards,
Randtam
P.S. Please do not send me a link or copy and paste.
No, you cannot memorize a spell above your ability to cast. However, you can read a spell from a scroll that is above your ability to cast per the rules described.
So while you could potentially scribe a higher level spell than you could cast into your spell boook you could not memorize or cast it from memory until you achieved the requisite level.
I completely agree. I will keep trying, but if I roll this low on Dip rolls I cannot help. I think what I am saying is not that bad, it just is not working out at this point.
CW, can you send the map link as a hyperlink? If not can you send it again without any other words. My iPad cannot get rid of "link to map" when I try to copy. Do not know why.

DR bludgeon 5 means that unless you are using a weapon that bludgeons you must exceed 5 points of damage to have an effect, bludgeoning weapons cause normal damage, other weapons are subject to the DR
0:Detect Magic, Guidance, Light; 1:Longstrider, Entropic Shield, Divine Favor, Obscuring Mist; Domain:Longstrider or Remove Fear
SR is totally separate from DR
To affect a creature that has spell resistance, a spellcaster must make a caster level check (1d20 + caster level) at least equal to the creature's spell resistance. The defender's spell resistance is like an Armor Class against magical attacks.
GM....I have identify down twice on my spell list. Can I change? Did not realize my error as I looked to find a spell to unlock arcane door. Can I use third party spells? They are on OGC.
