The ranger's eyes narrow as the quasit disappears again. He waits, holding his action until he knows where the demon is. Then, the door starts to swing open and Elransil rushes over with Erodel to slam it shut again!

Grumbling with disgust at his forgetfulness, Manx casts detect magic and looks towards the door. If he does not detect the quasit there, he will scan around the room looking for magical auras, especially those floating in the air.

DM WaterSprite |

round 14
@Manx -
You wouldn't be able to pinpoint the location of the quasits aura until the 3rd round per the description of the Detect Magic spell.
1st Round: Presence or absence of magical auras.
2nd Round: Number of different magical auras and the power of the most potent aura.
3rd Round: The strength and location of each aura. If the items or creatures bearing the auras are in line of sight, you can make Knowledge (arcana) skill checks to determine the school of magic involved in each. (Make one check per aura: DC 15 + spell level, or 15 + 1/2 caster level for a nonspell effect.) If the aura eminates from a magic item, you can attempt to identify its properties (see Spellcraft).
As Erodel and Elransil rush to shut the door, Pik appears to grapple with something. The quasit appears to view as it tries to claw at Pik.
attack claw 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Round 15
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 (r5/6)
Init: 10 HP 22/24 AC: 17
Does.. my lower dex retroactively tweak my initiative?
As the little demon reappears, Erodel growls "Hand out those arrows of yours, and let's stab it! Radoslav, you too!" Shouting the second part to his companion across the room.
If Elransil hands Erodel an arrow, he will step into position to flank and stab the quasit!
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 +2 Flank
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Else will dog pile on top to grapple.
Grapple: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16+2 if Flank

Round 15 Initiative: 17, AC: 12, HP: 16/16, Conditions: Roak, -1 attack, -1 save vs. fear.
Active Hexes: Quasit, 1 round, -2 AC.
Assuming that the Quasit is unable to break the grapple, Pik will continue to hold it and attempt to pin it.
Maintain Grapple: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
If successful, the Quasit is now pinned.

It's very high on Erodel's 'Plan to deal with the little demon'.. although interrogating it might be useful... but it may be more dangerous to give it the chance to escape again.
At the very least, Erodel would like to pummel it into submission. With or without getting information from it.
Then again, this is just the mechanical suit of armour that is leaking red fluid's thoughts

Elransil Farseer |

Round 15 HP 17/21, Init 13, AC 18, Touch 14, FF 14 Saves Fort +4, Reflex + 7 Will +2
Conditions -1 to hit, saves vs. fear
Elransil hands out arrows to those who want them and draw his bow to shoot it down if it tries to escape again..
Move action to hand out arrows, standard to draw bow. I'm all in favor of just finishing it off now. It's a fanatic, so I doubt it will tell us much.

DM WaterSprite |

Since people seem to be in favor of finishing off the quasit, we will just jump ahead a few rounds to its death since you have it pinned. Seems unnecessary to go through all the rounds it will take to get past its damage reduction and fast healing over post.
Now dead, you search the tiny creature and find on it a tiny dagger and tiny crown worth 50g. A thorough search of the room does not reveal anything else.

Pik |

Pik examines both the dagger and crown with Detect Magic.
Spellcraft (dagger): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Spellcraft (crown): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
And will examine the pool of orange liquid.

Fort save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Erodel will try looking at the pool in the middle... possibly try to determine the time of death on the skulls?
Untrained (heal) 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
way to have both ends of the spectrum Pik!
"Any of you know what a demon would be doing underneath the town?... Besides making more of these spawn." As Erodel gives the sinspawn corpse a boot to the mid section to emphasize his point.

Manx Serimus |

"The demon did claim to be a minion of Lamashtu, directly... i hope that was more boast than substance. The sinspawn here and out there, the goblins, it may be that Lamashtu does have an agent up to no good."
"I have nearly exhausted my spells for the day, should we continue to seek what answers there are in the rest of this complex, or report our findings and return on the 'morrow?"
Manx tucks the crown into his back pack and holds the dagger out to the others "this looks to be a useful weapon..."

Pik |

This place appears to have been closed off for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. I assume she didn't make more sinspawn out of fear they might just eat her for lack of other food. Pik frowns as he looks around, But who can say? She was obviously quite mad.

Elransil Farseer |

"You're right, Radoslav. What should we do first - search for secret paths or cover up that well so nothing else comes bubbling out?"
The ranger has a 32 Perception if he takes 20. If two others help, that's a 36 and should uncover most things. Also, who has the journal at the moment? It might include information on a passage we missed.

Pik |

Once they are done searching, Pik nods towards the exit. Let us leave this hole and tell the town. Perhaps the deputy can get some men working on closing off these tunnels.

DM WaterSprite |

All of you make it back through the tunnels and up to the town with out a problem. Once you leave the Glassworks, you notice that there are guardsmen at the doors. They relax when they see you and tell you that they were ordered to keep watch in case any goblins tried to run out, but they hadn't seen anything leave before you all exited. They also tell you that the deputy is still trying to interrogate Tsuto at the jail and that Ameiko is likely still there with him.
When you inform the deputy of the tunnels, he begins cursing the smugglers who made a network of them under Sandpoint and gives a guardsman instructions to get the local mason and his apprentices to block the tunnels under the Glassworks. He will then turn back to you all and inform you that Tsuto is refusing to speak to anyone, even Ameiko and they haven't gotten any information at all from him.

DM WaterSprite |

When you decide to look through the journal, you see that it is a small, leather-bound booklet that contains two dozen parchment pages, most of which Tsuto has apparently filled with maps of Sandpoint or erotic drawings of a young woman. DC 15 Knowledge [local] to know who she is The maps each depict different attack plans. The first set shows the attack plans for a group of thirty goblins—one of these battle maps is circled, and you all may recognize it as the attack the goblins made on Sandpoint during the Festival. Of more pressing concern are the next several pages, which illustrate an assault on Sandpoint by a force of what appears to be two hundred goblins. None of these are circled, and while many are scratched out as if they’ve been rejected, the implications are ominous nonetheless. One on the last pages of the book depicts the same young woman seen earlier, but this time it is with demonic hands, bat wings, horns, a forked tail, and fangs.

Elransil Farseer |

Elransil flips through the journal, trying to see if the battle plans give any hint about the location of the goblins' base of operations. He pauses when he comes to the rather ... tasteless drawings.
"Please don't tell me I was right about this," he says about the woman's identity.
Knowledge(local) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Is that the aasimar Nualia who allegedly "burned" in the church five years ago?

![]() |

What time of day is it? When we emerge and are back in town?
"We may want to do our preparations now, as we do not know if they will do something erratic now that their lieutenant is captured." Erodel petitions the party. "We could also check on Ameiko and ask her if she has any information that could help."

Manx Serimus |

Manx nods to Erodel, "Sound advice, I will go and see if there is a scroll for sale from one of the merchants. I can also see what they will give us for the items we collected. Would anyone like to come along? If not, I suggest we meet back at Ameiko's, say two hours?"

Pik |

I agree, let's leave this matter to Elransil. And hope his family can give us a deal. But certainly, let's not have someone who has already upset merchants in this city to get a good price.

Elransil Farseer |

"Of course I can handle selling of these exotic items. I'm sure between my parents, sister and Ameiko, we can get a good deal for all of these items. Once I have secured the money, I'll divide the proceeds between us."
How long do you want the selling to take, WaterSprite? We obviously need to finish this before the jail visit if Charm Person will be used.
