Poog does not care about the stupid bow and arrow rules and lets loose a firebolt at the flock of seagulls, one ran so far away but couldn't get away, and fell to the ground as a crispy dinner.

Mummy: "Poog you disqualifi..... Oh nice fire. Three points for Poog anyway for awesome flame."

"Time for the second dare of the chieftans moot" screams Wise Mummy.

She ensures that everyone takes off their blindfolds prior to escorting the group to a low valley which has subsided into a permanent swamp of nasty standing water. As you approach you notice a bunch stilts left behind from a ill conceived goblin building project. A haphazard arrangement of wobbly posts protruding from the boggy ground. The goblins have laid wooden planks across several of these posts, creating narrow bridges that stand 10 feet off the ground.

Stirge Swamp Stomp:
In this dare, the contestants all begin on the southern shore of the bog and are fitted with wide, clumsy, human boots. A single stirge on a 5-foot-long tether is tied to each of the red posts. The goal of this game is to kill as many stirges as possible (preferably by stomping, which qualifies as an unarmed strike, but any method of stirge killing is allowed) without falling into the swamp below.

Modifiers:
Human Boots: The big boots the goblins wear are cumbersome and reduce the wearer’s speed by 5 feet. In addition, the goblins attempt Acrobatics checks at a –2 penalty while wearing the boots.

Planks and Posts:Each plank and post is 1 foot wide and slightly unsteady. A successful DC 7 Acrobatics check is required to move along a plank; a goblin falls if she ever rolls 5 or less on such a check.

Chuffy,Poog,Badmucus,Mogmurch,Reta

Initiative Rolls:

Chuffy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Poog: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Reta: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Mogmurch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Badmucus: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

You can choose to jump on the planks or take pot shots at the stirges, or use other means of dispatch. If you choose to use the planks please make and acrobatics check - the boot modifier, followed by an attack roll.

Pot shots only require an attack roll.

To get the best possible area effect going you need 3 acrobatics checks.

"Each Stirge worth two points, ATTACK!!!"

since they are human boots, I will declare that they do medium damage. go ahead and reroll.

Chuffy stomps on a Stirge, but its tough chittonous armor, proves difficult to oversome. At least you got 1 damage out of it.

Having difficulty visualizing this, is there a map or sketch?

I'm picturing the stirges tethered to 15' high stilts, and the plank walkway is on stubby posts 10' off the ground, all of which is over flooded ground.

Grand Lodge

Male

Yeah, this dare does not lend itself well to no picture Pbp. Picture a valley with accessable stumps and planks from your current level. If you fall, you fall into the water below and can not kill any more stirges.

Stirges: A total of 12 stirges are tied to posts. Each stirge can attack anyone within 5 feet of its post. Killing a stirge earns a goblin 2 points. Once all 12 stirges are dead, the dare ends. You are basically running around planks like a ninja would in any old Kung Fu movie.

Yes, nowhere does it say that you have to use the boots, in the mod. Use whatever you want for this one.

Reta hops across the planks, swinging her dogslicer at the stirges.
Acro: 1d20 + 3 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 4 - 2 = 4

Hmm...

safe bet, Reta is not going to be the chief

If she's the only one who is left after the quest...

Badmucus pulls back the red kobald hood then pulls out one of his balls. (queue music) In a grand display, sparks his wristed flint-and-steel together, igniting the bomb. With a mighty cackle, he hurls it at a post tethering a stirge.

Though its wings are singed the splash damage did not do enough to make that particular stirge stop buzzing around.

Chuffy flips and whirls onto a plank only to be rebuffed by a tiny bug, seeing a great opportunity to rid himself of the ninja like goblin, Poog Bullrushes him, and pushes him back, Chuffy is able to maintain his balance however.

Badmucus Tosses a bomb and the splash damage is not quite enough to kill the sturge, but Mogmurch decides to finish the job and gain 2 pts.

Indeed it was, Chuffy escapes the clutches of the angry stirge, and acrobats to a new plank. Currently safe from Poog

Wat new rules?

Goblin Rogue 3 | HP 26/26 | AC 20 T 16 FF 15 | CMD 15 | Fort +3 Ref +7 Will +2 | Init +8 | Perc +7, Sense Motive +1

They aren't really new. I'm referring to 3.5 vs Pathfinder rules.

Do I get a climb check to get back up? I'm thinking I'd head for land and use my bow.

Once you fall in it is assumed you spend the rest of the competition getting out, with the assistance of the other goblins.

I'm not going to lie, I'm completely lost in this one. I've been imagining a sort of pit filled with Stirges and a narrow catwalk/bridge going across.

Grand Lodge

*Sigh* I knew this would be the hardest one for me to describe. Houses in flooded areas are built on stilts, picture that but without the house, with a few planks here and there remaining. The stirges are tied to the posts and can only attack if you get close enough to them. In all honesty this one is designed to let Poog win, a well placed channel neg can eliminate most of them.

Poog is up.

It kind of feels like cheating a bit, and how many of my "friends" would I hit? We never healed after the last one, and that might possibly be getting a little too close to killing allies.
