"Had too many slugs already..." Reta suddenly realizes she's not feeling entirely well after feasting and then riding.

Grand Lodge

Male

The explosion of Poogs antics set many goblin aflame , those spared from a fiery death cheer their new champion Poog of Zarongal on. (Roll for frenzy not necessary, fire makes goblins frenzy anyhow)

Slorb manages to gather the attention of the frenzied masses and again speaks, his voice less pleasant than nails on a chalk board.

"Looks like Reta not so big and bad after all, Mogmurch and Poog will race to see who can finish bag o'slugs first."

Slorb signals some other goblins to hand Mogmurch and Poog their bags o'slugs, a third bag reserved for Reta is consumed by the goblin that was tasked with holding it. He makes sure he spits out a part of it before swallowing. Goblins on fire continue to run around the camp as Slorb tries to get everyones attention.

bag o'slugs:
This bag contains five slugs, which have a mildly poisonous slime bladder. You can choose to ignore the bladder for a lower DC and "possible" consequences later.

Slorb begins a countdown
" Ten, nine, noodles, twelve, eleventeen, purple, one. Go!!!"

When the countdown is complete Slorb has two of his oversized goblin toughs summon Chuffy.

Let's have both Poog, and Mogmurch roll 5 Fortitude saves to begin. Let me know if you choose to spit the poison bladder out or not before rolling.

Chuffy was happy to avoid the squealy nord. The thing terrified him. He wasn't bothered that he did not get awarded one of the Dragon Brew Gourds. He could always steal one later and replace the contents with Chuffy's Yellow Brew.

Chuffy giggles.

When Poog throws his into the fire Chuffy's giggle turns to a choke. Nooooooooo! His mind mourns the lost Brew. Yessssss! It turns to glee upon seeing the big explosion.

When the bag-o-slugs dare is announced, he literally jumps forward. "You no forget Chuffy! Chuffy eat lots-o-slugs! Hey, what you wants?" He scowls at Slorb's toughs.

"Hey, wassat?!" He points behind the toughs with wide eyes, then darts off to hide.

Mogmurch was big on enthusiasm, but not big on considering what might happen in the future.

He grabbed the 5 slugs and consumed every part of them as quickly as possible. He muttered words as he ate, "Me knew Big head Reta was no hero. If Reta want, she can lick slug off Mogmurch face with Rempty." He ducks as a rock came whistling at his head from Rempty's direction.

Mogmurch, and Poog reach into their bags and produce a sausage sized slug. The large amounts of slime produced makes them difficult to consume.

Round 1: Poog and Mogmurch are able to choke down one large fish tasting slug each.

Round 2: Poog's draws a particularly slippery slug and drops it on the floor. Mogmurch smiles at the opportunity to take the lead, and guzzles down his second slug, poison bladder be damned.

Round 3: Poog is able to pick up the slug on the floor, the dirt coats it like a sugar cookie, making it much easier to wolf down. Mogmurch, being cheered on by Rempty, begins chewing on the largest slug Brinestump marsh has ever seen. He manages to finish it, but his mouth is nearly glued shut by the excess slime.

Round 4: With the extra slime coating his mouth Mogmurch is having trouble with his next slug. Poog on the other hand realizes his foes dilemna, and bites his slug in twain and gulps it down without a second thought.

Round 5: That giant slug is really taking it's toll on Mogmurch, and he is still having trouble opening his mouth, perhaps Reta slipped him a glue slug. Poog is able to finally take the lead when he finishes his fourth slug. The race is on.

As the morning sun arrives you are again escorted into the chiefs moothouse, The chief tells you

“get fireworks and bring them here to me.”

and orders slorb to give you the remaining fireworks, two Desnan candles, four paper candles, and a skyrocket.

Desnan Candle:
(5 gp): When lit, this foot-long wooden tube launches a flaming pyrotechnic “candle” every round for 4 rounds. Each projectile deals 1 point of nonlethal damage and 1 point of fire damage if it hits; on a critical hit, the target is also blinded for 1 round. The projectiles shed light as candles for 1 round and have a range increment of 5 feet. Attacking with a Desnan candle is a ranged touch attack and always has a –4 nonproficiency penalty.

Paper Candle:
(1 gp): This finger-sized explosive detonates noisily 1 round after lighting. Anyone in the same square as a paper candle when it explodes must make a DC 15 Fortitude save or be dazzled for 1d4 rounds.

Skyrocket:
(50 gp): When lit, this foot-long wooden tube begins to shake and emit a handful of white sparks, shedding light as a torch. One round later it takes flight, moving in a straight line with a fly speed of 90 for 1d6 rounds before loudly exploding in an burst of light and sound, dealing 2d6 points of fire damage in a 10-foot burst (DC 15 Reflex save for half ). If a skyrocket impacts a solid surface or a creature before reaching its maximum range, it detonates prematurely at the point of impact. Anyone who takes damage from the explosion is either blinded or deafened (a 50% chance of either) for 1 round.

Feel free to divy up the loot

The journey to the fireworks stash, as indicated on the map just pretend , is relatively short—a slog not quite a mile-long through the swamp along the creek’s southern bank. The journey takes only an hour to make. The marsh itself is relatively difficult to navigate, with numerous stretches of deep water that must be skirted and thick tangles of stinging nettles.
