Moggy:
The way it reads to me Gerald, is that the goblins are escorted to the Pie, given their gear, told the rules, tied up, and then pushed in. So I am going to have to rule that you did not have time for any buffs or healing.

If getting out of pie is only a move action, what is the unseen difficulty, other than the bonds?

Grand Lodge

Male

That is it, Eagles, are trying to peck at you, and the heat. I never mentioned how many points killing an eagle was worth. It could very well turn the tide of the moot.

Poog you are actually in a pie, think of yourself as a delicios blueberry. I'm not sure if that informatiom would change your action but there it is.

I knew we where in the hug spoiled milk/dead bird/pie, but I wasn't clear on the actions. The instructions implied until we took a Standard action to break free, we couldn't really do anything, and since we only got a Move action, I was thinking it was a surprise round sort of thing. If that' not the case, I'll not try to break free (I'm weak and unskilled, so probably a Nat 20 is my only chance, if even that), and go with the spoiler above, calling a friend.

(If freed as a standard action in this,Bad obviously leaps out of the pie)

Round 1

Chuffy wiggles and jiggles but it is of no use, at least he is only sweating and not burning.

Poog also seems rather resilient to the heat, but instead of fighting the rope, he calls to an eagle #1d4 ⇒ 4 who comes to his aide.

Reta, also struggles against the rope. On the bright side she also takes no damage.

Eagle IV comes to the aide of Poog and attacks the rope with its beak and talons. It weakens the rope to such an extent that Poog can escape in the next round.
1d4 ⇒ 1 1d4 ⇒ 4 1d4 ⇒ 2

Eagle II is getting quite ornery due to the heat and fully attacks a goblin next to him 1d5 ⇒ 2 1 Poog, 2 Badmucus, 3 Poog, 4 Reta, 5 Mogmurch

vs. Flatfooted Badmucus

Claw attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Initiative
Chuffy, Poog, Reta, Eagle IV, Eagle II, Eagle I, Eagle III
Claw attack 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Beak attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Beak crit confirmation: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Badmucus now in the throws of combat with an eagle breaks free from the rope and tries to hop out of the pie provoking an attack of Opportunity from Eagle II. All without getting burned. Nice job Pathmaker.

Eagle AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

The eagle misses, and Badmucus escapes the pie getting 10 points for the feat.

Eagle I attacks 1d5 ⇒ 5 a flat footed and bound Mogmurch,

Claw attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Claw attack 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Beak attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Eagle III attacks 1d5 ⇒ 4 a flat footed and bound Reta,

Claw attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Claw attack 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Beak attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Mogmurch mimicing his quicker clone frees himself from his bondage, and attempts an escape, provoking an attack from Eagle III. He is also unscathed by the heat and is given 5 points for his escape.

AoO Eagle III: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

GM fort saves:

Eagle I: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

The goblins roar and applaud in ways only goblins can do, As promised by Wise Mummy Sprattleharsh, the chieftain gets awarded the Crunchy Crown. This crown is a nonmagical hat, but nonetheless grants a +2 bonus on all Intimidate checks made against Birdcruncher goblins while it’s worn. In addition, the new chieftain and any subchieftains get to loot the tribe’s treasure chest.

"All hail Chief Badmucus, toughest, smartest and greatest of the Birdcrunchers."

She puts the crunchy crown on his head, and he looks as regal as a goblin can.

"Now you name your Sub Chieftans Chief Badmucus, and give them their new titles."

Badmucus:
You can now appoint your cabinet members, and give them titles. Any appointees get to share in the spoils and loot the Chiefs treasure chest.

For the rest of the evening, the Birdcrunchers are in a celebratory mood—they have a new leader, after all! During this time, the chieftain and subchieftains/appointees are the focus of goblin pandemonium. Some of the subjects prostrate themselves before the new leaders, moistening their feet with kisses and runny noses (an obvious sign of mimicry of the new chief), while others scream and sob and bring gifts of food and offers of goblin "frolicking". Goblin after goblin comes forward to try to impress the new leader(s)—by juggling live stoats, by head-butting stumps, and particularly, by setting things on fire... themselves included.

Badmucus for all positions, does’t share loot with anyone! Just kidding-

”Wiyyaaahhh!!!”, Badmucus pumps his fist as the crown is granted, he does round high fours across the line of Birdcruchers - spreading the joy and mucus,”Yahhhh!!!!!”.

"Big Boss Bad give Birdcrucher Mini-Chieftans!" Bad shows off the group, "Prodigious Poog! Magnificent Morg! Ruthless Reta! and Stirge Slaughter Chuffy! Bring forth the sacred champion chest!" As offer of faith, and shamelessly buying loyalty, Bad gives first round picks to the others.

"Tomorrow, Big Bad Birdcrunch Battalion go kill some ogres!"

Grand Lodge

Male

Your titles are much nicer than mine would have been ;) Especially to Reta.

Chief's Chest:
The Birdcrunchers, as it turns out, have a
particularly large cache of treasure. Among the 840 gp in assorted coins, art objects, trophies, jars of pickles, shiny rocks, dented armor fragments, broken dogslicers, and bird parts in various stages of decay are the following items of particular interest: four potions of cure moderate wounds, a potion of fire resistance, a wand of lesser restoration (9 charges), a +1 flaming dogslicer, a Small cloak of elvenkind, a bead of force, a necklace of fireballs (type I), and 5 ounces of sovereign glue.

Chief Badmucus gives his lieutenants first choice on the contents of the box, so dig in and enjoy.

Remember, the Birdcrunchers expect their new leader to head out the
very next day to challenge and, hopefully, defeat or drive off the ogre known as Pa Munchmeat. So enjoy and heal up tonight and we can get Part 2 started.

Chuffy took 9 points of damage and 1 con damage in the Chief trials. Resting will take care of the con damage but only bring back 3 hp, so he's down 6. Could use a touch of the healing wand.

The next norming Chuffy approaches Poog and begins the ritual groveling required for asking the cleric favors. "Chuffy beg Poog for healings. Chuffy take back all bad things talked about Poog! Poog shoulda been chief!"

Chuffy's ready, regardless of Poog's mercy.
