Wanted to let everyone know that on Monday I start a 2-week road trip with the family. I'll be able to post off and on, I expect, but will slow down somewhat.

"Fingers" Mitchell |

If it is truly a dead thread, and you'd like to continue, I am GMing this AP as PbP currently, and could probably add another group since the maps, story etc will be lined out already.
Tell me when you're ready to consider.

Durriken Garde |

Warforged is still around, he just posted Corso in an application for another CotCT game, so I think we can get him back. If we want to wait a bit longer for Cello, that's fine with me. But it's been almost two weeks since we last heard from him - I would suggest getting the game moving forward again before we start losing players. Fingers can always give the game back if Cello resurfaces and can run the game full time.

Gyllan Dow |

That's a generous offer, Fingers, and I'd be happy to take you up on it.
It does seems a bit of additional recruitment is called for, as we'd be losing our rogue (though Gyllan's an urban ranger, so can cover many of the same bases), and we're a bit short on arcane casting.
I'm good with making this switch right away or giving GM Cello a few more days. Has anyone PM'ed him?

DM DoctorEvil |

Let's give him a few more days (if you don't mind). We can start with me DMing, from our current spot, on Monday. OK?
This is my DM alias, so send me PM or whatever if you have questions/concerns. We may need a real rogue again, but we'll finish in the Fishery first and perhaps we can add someone thereafter.
I have a few players who might be able to squeeze in from my other games.

DM DoctorEvil |

Started going through the characters and building their portfolios for Hero Lab (one way I track them). Will be sending PM's with any questions. When we get this part squared away, we can start the game again in earnest.
Are you okay with starting from same point, or do you want to begin again? I sent request for the reins to Paizo web master, but no response yet.
Will be looking for a rogue-type to add. Advertised in all my current games, and got one response so far...check recruit thread for more and feel free to let your friends know we have 1 opening.

Gyllan Dow |

I agree, let's just keep going.
And I also agree that we may not need another PC, especially since Gyllan can basically cover the rogue role. If we decide to pick up anyone, I'd go for an arcane caster - Corso's got some, but bards have different spells and less focus on them than a wizard or sorcerer would.

DM DoctorEvil |

Alright, all PC's are examined and a few changes were made. Please confirm that your starting money is now:
Gyllan - 75.8 gp
Corso - 6.55gp
Ariana - 4.8 gp
Durriken - 56.9
This will be starting cash on hand for my Loot Tracker, which you'll see posted in the top margin area.
My style is a little different from DM Cello's (for one, I'll not disappear on you w/o good reason and advance notice) so we'll feel each other out a bit. Here are a few things you should know going in:
- I will roll initiatives and post the order. You can post anytime given the restraints of PbP and I'll re-order the actions in narrative. If your chosen action makes no sense based on prior events, I'll let you re-post, or move to next logical target etc.
- Spoilers are meant for the intended party only. So no peeking! There may be times where it directly affects the game or your fun, so don't ruin it.
- I will try to post at least once per day; sometimes more including weekends. Try to keep up, if not and it's sat on your turn for 24 hours, you will get defaulted to DM-PC. I won't do anythnig crazy or stupid with your turn and will eventually learn your specific tactics and try to model as best I can. The 24 -hr rule is to keep the game moving and may be shortened by popular demand (like in a combat).
- If you are going to be away, just drop us a note. It'a courteous thing to do. I will make every effort to do the same.
- I will keep official count of treasure and gold on a Loot Tracker worksheet that I will post on the Campaign Tab and the top margin area of each page. If you spend, loot, or steal, it needs to be here or it doesn't count.
- For now, maps etc will be on Google Share and you'll be able (and expected) to move your own token. I may move the maps to roll20 at some point, because the mapping is so much better.
- On maps, please show your path of movement using the line or arrow tools. Sometimes it's important for traps, AoO, etc and I don't want to have to decide for you when "death is on the line".
- Have fun. Call me out on the rules that I break/fudge. I am not a rules lawyer, and try to research things first, but am a fairly flawed person and sometimes flub up unintentionally. I won't be offended if you call me on something, but you have to respect my rulings on grey areas. These aren't the kind of things that get PC's killed, usually.
I am sure there are more. But we'll stumble over them when we get to them.

DM DoctorEvil |

Fair enough, here is the link to the Loot Tracker. LMK if you have trouble accessing it. Note there are two tabs (so far). One is the coin you have, the other will be the items you find, if any...

DM DoctorEvil |

Here now is the map, updated for location. This link will also be in the top margin area for ease of finding.
You should be able to move your token. Remember to use arrow or line tool to show your motions when you move. I am placing PC's in area based on last post, feel free to move them if you like.

Gyllan Dow |

Wow, that was weird. I clicked on the map link and saw no PC icons. I was about to ask about it in this thread and then suddenly these huge icons appeared and begin shrinking and moving to the map! Guess I caught you mid-edit, DMDE.
The gp balance and tracker sheets look good. Hoping to get something on the loot sheet at some point, now that we're going again!

DM DoctorEvil |

Heh, I wasn't happy with my first version so I was re-editing quickly before players showed up. Oh well.
EDIT: It may be easier to see and manipulate the map tokens, if you choose to zoom. If you accidently bump the whole map, use the back arrow on the toolbar to undo.
First new Gameplay post is up. Good luck and godspeed!

@Corso - recruiting what? Not sure we need another rogue. What do you think we need? I'm not against it, just wondering. I sometimes think smaller PbPs are better, but it depends on the posting rate of folks.

Gyllan Dow |

So of the four of us, 3 of us missed the dog, and now we're hoping he'll fail a DC 13 will save, which is about even odds. And the dog nearly got a crit on Durriken. And the orc hasn't even come down the stairs.
I may find myself agreeing with you soon, Corso, about the need to re-recruit. Maybe one of the little kids could join us, show us how it's done?

DM DoctorEvil |

There are some folks applying in REcruitment thread, but I am waiting on you guys to start really looking. I can keep Fingers in as NPC if you like, or you can drop the rogue and add a healer or caster. I don't think you need melee help despite the bad rolls to open. That luck will turn!
Watch those kids, is all I'm sayin'!

it's not my fault if the dogs keep moving...

Durriken Garde |

Gyllan, just moving the OOC to the discussion thread. No worries, we're not in a great location for melee, and the reasoning is sound. I'm sure Durriken will have some choice words for you later, though, even if it is his own fault he left his bow behind.
