Nechtan steps back to where he can harass both Inge and marine, and slashes furiously with his claymore.

Inge (for it is she) dodges Nechtan's sweeping attack, but one of the marines is not so lucky and gets cut.

Ynyr takes a step back to I6 and unleashes the power of him arcane might against Marine 1, while at the same time granting Nechtan a +1 bonus to AC until the end of Ynyr's next turn.

"Now how would so many people just get along on this boat all crowded together like this is a small crowded space? With the construct and all, how would they? Is it no wonder that they have a bad temper?"

The marine grunts and shrugs off Ynyr's thundering attack.

Shift to I8. Nechtan's Disruptive Strike misses. Ice Strike on Greylan, Ddraig and Darvyl - 25, 12, 14 respectively vs Ref. Ddraig and Greylan are both hit for 20 cold damage each and each will take 8 ongoing cold damage (save ends) Greylan is now on 11HP. Ddraig - status please?

Inge dodges another one of Nechtan's attacks as she bellows words that sound like the crashing of waves and the roaring wind. A shower of icy shards smashes into Ddraig and Greylan, chilling them both. Darvyl dodges the cloud and is unscathed.

Looking at the last page... Ddraig is on 0HP, and as it is now the start of his turn he will go down to -8 HP, and needs to make a death save.

I believe I may speak for the whole party when I say "ouch."

Why do I fear a coup-de-grace coming up ...

Marine 1 misses Nechtan. Marine 2 hits Darvyl (21 vs AC) - 8 damage. Marine 3 attacks Darvyl (26 vs AC) - 7 damage and Darvyl is marked by Marine 3. Marine 3 shifts to J15. 15 total damage to Darvyl.

The marines strike back too, stabbing at Darvyl with their longswords.

Greylan's teeth chatter as he tries to bat away the marine who is now threatening him.

He steels himself for the inevitable repercussions of Inge's attack and then shakes off the cold.

Second Wind. Now on 10 HP. SAve - 13. Lucky old Greylan. Healaugh's turn.

Shifting to flank Inge, Healaugh's face grows very grim. Muttering a quick mental prayer to Brigid, he confronts her knees. Shift to I7.

Darvyl moves in against the marines and lays about with his scourge, hitting one marine even as he calls out the other.

Shift to J14, Sweeping Blow vs M2, M3 (1d20+11=29, 1d20+11=13, 1d8+8=12) Mark M3.

Nechtan takes advantage of Healaugh's attack, and strikes twice at Inge.

Unfortunately, Healaugh has to be within 5 squares to administer healing, but he'll get there as soon as possible. Keep making the saves.

Furious at the lack of room to manoeuvre, Ynyr tries once more to shift the marine.

Thundering armour on Nechtan. Attack vs. marine 1. (1d20+4=18, 1d6+3=7)

If that hits, Marine 1 is pushed 1 square away from Nechtan to K7 (i.e. over the edge). In any case, Nechtan get +1 bonus to AC until the end on Ynyr's next turn.

"Now, will you get out of our way please? I have some healing to do don't you know?"

In case you missed my previous comment, Ynyr; I have moved you, as technically you are now in the cabin. You hit, but he made his saving throw to avoid being knocked off the boat.

Ynyr sends out a thundering force of magic, nearly sending the marine flying.

Inge attacks with Awe Strike against Nechtan - 15 vs Will. Hit. 7 damage and Nechtan is immobilised until the end of Inge's next turn. Shift to J7. Action Point. Bull rush Healaugh. 14 vs Fort. Hit. Healaugh is shoved to H7. Please make a saving throw.

Inge chants once more and stabs Nechtan. The wee ranger finds himself terrified by the power of the sea goddess, and Inge steps away neatly, before shoving Healaugh off the boat with an evil laugh.

Healaugh's reflexes save him and he stays on his feet, glaring at Inge. "Thanks Brigid-lass," he mutters as he wonders how to defeat the sorcerous pirate queen.

Regaining his footing, Healaugh stabs at Inge again.

"Told tha. Don't like pirates. Hang on now Ddraig lad."

Shifting behind the marine, he hurls help at his fallen friend.
Shift to J9. Majestic Word on Ddraig. Surge + 4hp.

Darvyl is rather thoroughly bloodied.

Inge grimaces as Healaugh stabs her, and she snarls.

Nechtan is unable to change his location, but fortunately a nearby mercenary is an available target.

Darvyl takes advantage of Greylan's distraction to launch a brutal assault on M3, then shifts to a more defensive position to catch his breath.

Flanking assault vs M3 AC, half on miss (1d20+9+2=20, 3d8+7+3=22) Shift to I15, AP for Second Wind

Nechtan misses. Darvyl kills M3.

Darvyl smashes one marine into the deck, whilst Nechtan is engaged in a furious blade storm, all of which are parried by his foe.

Ynyr to go.

From his (un)vantage point inside the cabin, Ynyr can think of little else to do except continue his campaign against the feckless marine.

Once more: thundering armour based on Nechtan who gets +1 to his AC - and attack the marine once more.

Thunder that armour and whack the marine. (1d20+4=18, 1d6+3=8)

If that's a hit (and I think it is...) the marine (M1) is pushed to K7 again.

OK, sorry it's out of turn, but I'm not around next week so I thought I'd post now!

Ddraig stands up and slashes at Marine 2 with Valiant Strike:

Ddraig is clearly still a little fuzzy in the head!

He then uses an action point to use his second wind bringing his hit points up to 28!

Ynyr hits and chucks the Marine off the ship! Inge moves and stabs Healaugh for 11 damage (23 vs AC)

Ynyr's magic shoves a marine, as Inge stabs at Healaugh, fury in her eyes. Ddraig attempts to attack another marine and fails.

Marine attacks Darvyl. 25 vs AC. 12 damage.

Unfortunately, the Marine is luckier and Darvyl receives a nasty wound.

"Tha's going to regret that," snaps Healaugh.

Greylan misses Inge with a Magic Missile. Healaugh's turn.

Blunder (Will) v Inge (1d20+6=26, 1d6+5=10). Crit. Inge takes 11hp damage and is slide three squares past Nechtan who can make a basic attack on her as she goes by.

Healaugh makes good his threats. Shifting backwards to J10 he jabs at Inge.

"Go thy ways, I'll steal thy thunder,
One wrong step, tha's made a blunder."

"Verse is none so good, but sentiment's reet fine," he mutters apologetically as Inge is forced past Nechtan, allowing the little pict to make an attack and he tries to shove the witch overboard.

Nechtan slashes ineffectually with his claymore.
