| Azerienzal |
Azeri glares and starts after the Dwarf, before being stopped with a calming hand on his chest.
"Ease down big fella!" Ali grins up at him, patting him on the back.
When the owner approaches him, he smiled and shook his hand. "My name is Azerienzal, Azeri to my friends. And I'm from out of town, far far from here. I'm here minding Alandrian here!" He patted Ali on the shoulders before taking the tankard.
"That is a truly beautiful piece of work, thank you!"
He tossed the bag of money back over his shoulder, Ali plucking it from the air deftly and grinning, bouncing it up and down on his palm for a minute, before slipping it in to his pocket.

Cleo brightens up at the mention of Ameiko, Yes! Something about free dinner! she jumps down from the bar and helps out Helgarr by picking up any items their fallen comrade might have dropped in his overeager binge. After trying to figure out how to carry Furnok's tall hammer thing, she asks Ali and Maria for assistance, if they are coming that is.
Oh! she notices the passed out M'ara, slumped up against the wall. Knowing there is no way she can carry her, she asks Azeri, could you could you... nodding M'ara's way.
| Azerienzal |
Azeri smiles and nods at the Cleric, before moving over to M'ara and picking her up gently. He moved to the door and shouldered it open, making sure not to bang M'aras head as he did, before carrying her out in to the cool night air.
"Don't worry M'ara. We'll get you back to the Rusty Dragon!" He waited for Helgarr and the rest to join him, before turning towards the Inn.
"A good night, despite everything."
| Alandrian Verium |
Ali stares at the hammer for a minute, before walking to his pack. He roots around inside for a moment, before pulling out a spare shirt, old and tattered. He wraps the wine bottle he had grabbed during the fight, still more than half full, in the old shirt, before wedging it carefully in to his pack, before slinging it up on to his shoulders. He hung his crossbow from his belt, strapping it in place against his thigh, so it didn't swing free, before grabbing the hammer.
"Bloody great lump of iron." He slung his Glaive over his shoulder and dragged the Earthbreaker along behind him, out of the Inn.
"Thank you for the lovely fight, I had fun!" He called, back over his shoulder, as he stepped out in to the cool night air.
"What a strange strange place..."
| Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo smiles after the boy and his bear, thanking hers and any other god listening for the many wonders of the world. Slinging whatever other items Furnok had and hurries after.

Maria charges up after them and picks up the other end of the hammer. Mmm that sounds good. After those goblins I could use some food.
| M'ara |
Mar'a dreams of floating ....floating....until she awakens, her face buried in the softest fur...smelling of clean animal, not gamey...a bit spicy...nice, soft....
Looking up she saw Azeri's bristly jaw from close range, "Hmmmm, what did I miss?"

With open arms, the friendly Ameiko welcomes all of you into the Rusty Dragon Inn. She will likely laugh to all of your stories and take great pleasure in teasing Mar'a and Furnok for their shenanigans. The food is simple, but delicious, a hearty beef and barley soup made by the Corwin halfling family. All rooms are free of charge, and Ameiko insists that any of you stay as long as you like. While it's not the accommodation expected for a high ranking nobleman, all the rooms are very cozy and welcoming (They even have several Hin-sized rooms that Cleo would like... unless she's the type to like the giant human beds haha).
Nothing further is expected of you tonight. Feel free to sleep off your crazy day, and you may take an easy, relaxing morning.

Maria yawns and thanks Ameiko before grabbing Ali and pulling him up to her room pulling out a deck of cards as she does so. Good Night, I'm gonna steal all Ali's stuff with a game of towers before going to bed.
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"Good night Maria" Cleo waves sleepily. Her first night in a big-ish town, and already enough stories to wow the little cousins. The olders and her brothers won't believe a word, of course. And her ma...
Ugh. Not a subject she wants to think about at the moment, she decides as she says her goodnights, leaving Furnok's belongings next to the sleeping giant.
She goes off to one of the offered rooms, half dreams of a bath, but slips out of consciousness in the midst of feather and down.

The morning sun rises over the towering Mindspin Mountains and the cock crows right on time. Today is a fresh day as the villagers of Sandpoint wake and rise for their morning work. It is almost as if the village has forgotten the goblins of yesterday, though they have not forgotten those who saved them from the terrible wretches. Any one of you who venture out this morning will likely be greeted on the street, given presents of fresh bread or a drink of mead. It would seem that the people are very grateful for your help. But don't think that you have to wake up at dawn, for you have had quite the day, and surely sleeping in a bit won't be a bother.
For those interested in breakfast, Ameiko and the Corwins have prepared honey nut scones, eggs made to your liking, and a choice of mead, pure water, or fresh milk.
Now is the perfect time to prepare your spells for the day. Prepared spellcasters, please leave me a Spoiler with the spells you prepare for the day, thanks.

It is around late morning when Sheriff Hemlock finds all of you somewhere in Sandpoint. As always, he is dressed in his chainmail uniform and carries a serious look on his face. He greets you formally and requests that you meet him in the cathedral at noon, then he excuses himself to find the rest of the party.
| Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo will join Furnok.

Earlier-
Ali allows himself to be dragged upstairs, after the meal, interested in the game of cards, if not in betting. When they are safe in the room he laughs, swinging the door closed behind him and collapsing on to the floor. "Goblins, Bar Room brawls and more money than I know what to do with right now." He shook his head softly. "Now that is a good day!"
Present-
'Wake up kid. Let me out of here hey? I'm bored as hell!'
Ali wakes up early, pushing his way up out of the bed and groaning, stretching with a sigh. He rolls out of the bed and begins to get ready, pouring some water in to the wash basin. When he is clean and freshly shaved, though there ain't much to shave, he sets about preparing for today, the first call of duty, releasing Azeri from his prison.
Ali sits cross legged on the ground, his head bowed in meditation, as he begins to release his energy slowly. He began first with the points in his hands and his forehead, feeling the magic potential well up there, before causing the feeling to flow outwards, to almost cover his body like a second skin. When he could feel the low thrum of power, all over his exposed flesh, he turned the power inwards, seeking that gate, deep down inside, to where Azeri returned every night. He focused that power at the gate and called forth, drawing the feeling of his friend and protector forth, calling it by name and by feeling, till with a flash of lightning and a quiet peal of thunder, Azeri materialized in the room.
"Bout time ya layabout. We have work to do today!"
Ali glanced up at the Eidolon and shook his head softly before sighing. "Fine. But breakfast first. I'll meet you downstairs!"
Azeri turned and waved back over his shoulder as he made his way down to the Common room, looking for a drink and some food, if only to get the kid moving faster.

Maria greets Ali and Azeri as they come down. Hey, good to see you layabouts up. The sheriff wants us to meet him in the cathedral at noon.
| Alandrian Verium |
Ali grabs the end of the loaf of bread left out for breakfast and begins to munch away in thought, before starting to gear up. "The Cathedral at noon huh? Okay. That seems do-able. That should give us a little time to get ready. How did you sleep?" He grabs a mug of water and washes down the bread, before taking a seat.
"Amiko, do you know why the Sheriff wants to see us, by any chance? We aren't being called in for the brawl last night right? I mean I think a few nights in a cell would be good for me, would making me more devilish and give my story more oomph, but I a, frightfully busy right now..." He frowned, tapping his finger off his lip in thought.
| Azerienzal |
Azeri snorted, spraying some crumbs of the Honey Nut scones over the table, before coughing violently, a whole nut catching in his throat for a moment. "Jeez kid... Don't make me laugh, I might choke." He shook his head softly, taking a drink of Mead, before grinning. "Devilish... The kid who is 'frightfully busy' wants to be devilish!"
Honey Nut Scones and Mead. Both honey based. Less Azeri, more Winnie. I love it!

I'd be a lot better and a bit richer if you hadn't begged off towers last night. Maria pinches Ali's cheek slightly. And I think cute suits you better. She goes back to her bowl of porridge flavored with cinnamon. You were right, Ameiko's food is great.
| Helgarr |
Helgarr opens her window to greet the morning sun and the sounds coming from the outside - it feels good to see that people seem to be recovering their routines.
With a smile, she retrieves her gear and moves downstairs - "Good morning friends" - she nods to the others, moving towards the breakfast table, and taking her choice of boiled eggs and milk for breakfast.
As the others leave to meet the sheriff, she follows without another word.
Maria the Great

Good Morning. Maria says as she finishes up and relaxes for a bit before getting up to make her way to the cathedral.
| Alandrian Verium |
"I have seen how quick your hands are, I won't be playing cards with you anytime soon!" Ali laughed softly and took a sip of water before waving at Helgarr. "Good morning Helgarr. We have an appointment with the Sheriff after breakfast, if you didn't know!" Ali smiled friendly towards the woman.
| Azerienzal |
Azeri brushed the crumbs from his fur and smiled, patting his stomach. "Helgarr probably already knows Ali. She was probably awake before you!" HE ruffled the Summoners hair before Ali jumped back away from his paw.
"You have honey on your paw ya great big menace!"
Azeri laughed softly, shaking his head and taking another long drink of Mead. 'It is good the kid is making friends!'
Maria the Great
|
Hey, that was just a demonstration, I'm not a thief. Maria begins muttering under breath. Not anymore, anyways.
| M'ara |
Mar'a stmps down the stairs, halting on the bottom step, gazing blearily at her friends, "If I try that sort of thing again, you have permission to bind me and put me in the cellar" she says quietly, wincing at the sound of her own voice.
She makes her way over to the table and downs a tankard if cool water.

Ameiko sat down to eat breakfast with Ali and company. In response to his question, she said "Not a clue, Ali. I doubt it's about the contest though, otherwise he wouldn't ask to meet at the cathedral." Then her eyes brightened up in revelation. "Oh I know! He's probably congratulating all of you for your help against the goblins. Maybe he's got a gift for you? In any case, you should probably get ready."
| Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo got to the cathedral early, walking with Furnok the occasionally quiet. Once there she'll happily look around since her last visit was cut so short with blood and stumps. Quietly and humbly saying hello to Erastil and then the others, knowing they have much more to do than listen to a little halflings greetings, but still it never hurts to be polite.
| Alandrian Verium |
Ali laughed softly, shaking his head and grinning at M'ara. "I must say I am glad I missed out on the drinking contest now. I woke up feeling a little miserable but nothing compared to what you must be feeling. My sympathies M'ara."
Ali arched an eyebrow and nodded in thought, before picking up a scone and taking a small nibble. "A reward would be appreciated, that is for sure. And aye, I am ready. Once everyone is finished eating we can head towards the Chapel right away!"
Maria the Great
|
Well I'll see you guys there. Maria gets up and thanks Ameiko before heading over to the cathedral. Hi she mumbles to the others as she walks in.
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"Good Morning Maria" Cleo greets in a loud whisper, sitting on one of pews (assuming there are pews) feet bouncing, clearly somewhere between awed and excited.
Maria the Great
|
Maria sits down by the small adult. Is the sheriff here yet?
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"Honestly I have no idea." she shrugs her shoulders "I don't know what he looks like? Unless he's the one that was with our hungover friend over there" pointing at Furnok "yesterday when they brought that man in with a severed leg" glances over at the still slightly noticeable blood stain "if so... no" smiling.
"Did you enjoy your breakfast?"
Maria the Great
|
Severed leg? When was that?
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"Yesterday... I think... before the goblin's attacked. Clean off. Furnok brought the leg but... you know. Never did find out what happened."
"Sorry if I'm a little on edge. This place is..." she can't seem to find the word, so in her whispers she continues. "We don't have anything like this back home. Our closest thing, our temple, is the cleric's own home, a one room cottage on the east glen, nice and cozy. It won't fit all of us, not by half, not even half of half of half. Most of our sermons are in Ma Humphrey's barn, the largest, but still a barn"
"This place is... too much" she finally figures out, and colors quickly "No offense!", she apologizes loudly, almost like not to Maria, but to the gods. "I mean no disrespect" softer, balling her hands in her lap.
Maria the Great
|
We had plenty of these back home. Not that anybody I knew ever went in one.
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"More than one of these!" she looks startled, "Why would you need more than one of these?"
Maria the Great
|
I'm not from a small town. The Ascendant court has many temples and churches, not to mention the Starstone keep.
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"Did you like it? I mean sandpoint seems large to me, so I have no idea.
Maria the Great
|
There's a reason why I said nobody I know ever saw the inside of one.
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"Ah" she answers, really having no idea what Maria means, but feeling like she's prying.
Maria the Great
|
Oh, you mean back at home. It wasn't easy there. In large cities like that there are ares that are just so much poorer than the rest. I grew up in one of those.
| Cleo Gingerberry |
"Ah" understanding came. "So this is a first for both of us. What you think? Overwhelmed like me, or just blah."
Maria the Great
|
It's nice. I like it though it means little to me. I'm not a big believer.
